yea, yea, yea always the same from his many disciples, umm....cough, fans. He's not humble at all - nadal is humble. The way he reacts after losing shows that he's hell bent on remaining statistically the best - not humble at all. Nice - yes he is but i'm not sure its all that genuine. Ask djokovic who's been on the recieving end of a fair few subtle put downs and backhanded compliments down the years if he thinks he's so nice.
Humble is not perfect. You think how often these guys do interviews, they obviously have off days. Journalists, fans, other players, other coaches, people who work events always talk about how down to earth Roger is. He's won the sportsmanship award (voted by the other players) twice as many times as the guy it was named after because he won it so much. Djokovic and his team have targeted Federer relentlessly (his dad has even taken shots at Nadal and Murray, Novak actually issued an apology to Roger and Rafa for their comments) so it doesn't surprise anyone that he's more hostile towards Novak than most other people. I personally think the worst comment Roger's made was at Andy Murray, and Andy and Roger now clearly get on well now, so they care less about it than you do.
He respects Djokovic, whom he didn't like a few years ago. He is incredibly respectful towards Nadal, and is great friends with him off the court. He always praises Stan Wawrinka, whom he is 18-3 against. He respects all the legends, even though he has broken all records. He predicted Murray would win atleast win one slam. He won the U.S. Open two months later. He is by far the most popular tennis player, and is an inspiration for several kids learning tennis. He is 35. He could just call it quits, but he is incredibly motivated and loves the game so much. For all these reasons, we are so lucky to have Roger Federer who has revolutionized the game of tennis. There will always be another Djokovic, Nadal, or Murray. But there will never be another legend like Roger Federer.
The best part about him is he speaks so well to the media, and when it comes to speeches, insight, analysis, Federer is the man. He is very honest and genuine, and doesn't give an answer just to please the media. He is one of the smartest most experienced players. At the same time, he isn't boring like Andy Murray. Murray is an extremely intelligent player on the court, but is very boring, and puts up a negative image. Federer, embraces the media, and has a great sense of humor at the same time.
So nice of federer to say that the most enjoyable moment except tennis is spending time with their kids and his wife😄😄 he is the best tennis player ever whether it is inside the court or outside
For those who think the hoster is craving for him, well I thought the same watching Nadal's same video format with her and actually... she's the same with all players haha
Roger is really fun to watch playing tennis and great to see him being interviewed. He is gentle man with a great personality and would love to see him start announcing tennis matches when he is done playing. He would be a great replacement for John McEnroe.
Lmao, you forget that Federer wasn't always in his 30s and was earning millions from the time he was a teenager. CDs, video games and sneakers his first big purchases 😅
Ok maybe he isn't as humble as Nadal. However, he respects all his opponents and gives them credit. At the same time, he respects the game. He doesn't praise his opponents too much, but that is him being honest to his performance. He is the G.O.A.T. So naturally he has s higher standard. He is genuine and comes through as a great sportsman. He handles losses so well, and comes back strong. It is because of him tennis is where it is today. You can still be humble, and tell things the way it is in a respectful sportsmanlike manner. Why do you think he has won the Edberg sportsmanship award so many times? That's not a fluke. I'll admit they are plenty of players more humble than him, but when you are that great, you naturally have this Aura about yourself. However, he doesn't have an ego.
Gosh the biggest/most expensive thing for a richy-rich like Fed is shoes n music... omg... those were things I bought with my 1st measly salary... this guy got big prize money... omg! I thought he would have said a palace or a plane... surely Rafa was more honest when he said " a boat" when the same gal asked the same question to him... Without saying those words about himself... RafaNadal is a whole deal greater than "easy" or "easygoing" - as he described himself to her question... At least more "honest" than Federer.
we will never get answers to questions about people like him...gandhi...and a few others...we humans have this habit of putting some people on a pedestal and worshiping them...no point asking such questions in my opinion...
Federer once said, "It's nice to be important, but it's important to be nice"
komal thompson you are an idiot! What a stupid comment to write!
I think it was his dad who said that
This was a quote by 'John Templeton'.
such a class act. So humble and nice.

+osmosite equilibria You must be burning more now as he just won this year's AO! And, also honestly should be preferred over sweet lie.

For those who think the hoster is craving for him, well I thought the same watching Nadal's same video format with her and actually... she's the same with all players haha

The Ciindy Crawford thing was new for me

3:46 cuteness starts... Peaks when federer mimics her...
Jesus, you can tell that interviewer has a massive crush on him.
Chicken Fucker have a look at her interview with nick Kyrgios and you'll change your mind

The nicest, most humble, most handsome guy. And he's got fabulous hair!

Anusha is too annoying with these tennis players. But she seemed quite normal here. Absolutely was all over the place with Rafa.
not really rafa flirted first
My brother named one of his sons Federer. He is another really crazy Roger's fan

He’s honest alright for that Cindy Crawford comment
He is adorable!!!!!
Roger Federer is the best, I want to meet him so bad.
Great 👍
"non-tennis sports stars you admire?" Federer "Nelson Mandela."
Lady never stopped interrupting him
I didn't know Nelson Mandela was a sports star...
No, she asked for a "non tennis sports star."
Well, Mandela did play rugby in his younger days. Not pro obviously...
00:16 everyone felt that
Cutesy interview.

The interviewer is annoying.
What has Mandela done for South Africa? Aside from allowing the ANC to continually destroy it...
we will never get answers to questions about people like him...gandhi...and a few others...we humans have this habit of putting some people on a pedestal and worshiping them...no point asking such questions in my opinion...
