- I did not make the Oldest View, it is created by a youtuber named Kane Pixels, who also made the backrooms. Do not comment that I didn't credit him in anyway despite the fact he is credited in the first 3 seconds.
I wanted to watch them all without video skipping, so I made it into a movie. I added some extra bits and I put all the credits in the end. If Kane Pixels wants this to be taken down, I will take it down, might not be instant though.

I got really into this. This is a very unusual and very specific type of horror. The nostalgic setting coupled with the feeling of being life-threateningly lost in a place you don't understand is tapping deep into my kid-nightmare brain. This is the adult version of getting lost from your parents at the mall

No but forreal I googled the location too and it was definitely above ground when it was built in the 70s. It had sky lights! This man descended down to hell, and it’s just….. there?!!! Not to mention the redrum room with splatter and a runoff drainage he passed through after the wooden door. I’m so lost, then I read it was demolished in ‘19 to make room for high rise towers. Did they somehow sink the entire fckn mall or what? Somebody let me know bc this is going to live in my mind rent free for awhile. More importantly - why are there jail bars, corroded and pried open???? Jesus!!
@briteeni7541 "rent free" no shi, tright? Had me too. So apparently, this IS INDEED all cgi. So the mall WAS a real place but demolished before he posted this. So I'm guessing he used old footage, and he recreated the mall in blender or something. Shit is wild.
Edit: and the stairs are all 100% cgi as well as the mall. Fuckin crazy good job.

Thanks for combining them man, and mindfully giving credit to Kane. I agree that the act of switching videos disrupts the immersion of the movie. Because its a movie - its art - it needs to be appreciated in its entirety. The effort put into every factor - visuals, acting, sound design, story, pacing, framing. This shit deserves real awards and wide recognition because its quite frankly the best horror media Ive seen in the past decade

it blurs the line between fiction and reality, and it made us imagine that it could happen in real life even though we know damn well its fiction

No one knows who actually created the original backrooms post, so technically everyone owns/made it. But when people say Kane made the Backrooms they’re usually referring to his animated series that’s completely original and doesn’t follow the lore the rest of the internet has created
