The difference in 0:31 vs 1:13 is so fitting and really shows her paranoia also anyone notice that in 1:13 up to when fireheart walks in that she is very litterally sleeping with one eye open? Paranoia is somethin else I'll tell ya that, I've personally delt with small amounts of it but i can't even imagine having it at this level.
I just switch though the scenes when I saw this comment....that’s just scary ;w;

I like how when Tigerclaw walked in her cave, she only looked up, but then when Fireheart walked in on the end she like immediately got up and attacked him.
I also appreciate the way fireheart was so scratchy and hard to see, making it seem as though her paranoia had clouded her judgement, and she didnt see anything but tiger.
Not to mention, she even had one eye open in her sleep
And there was a static fade also
This really catches bluestar's story. She's not just "a basic overrated leader" she has an amazing and horrifying story. Holy shit this is phenomenal. I love your spooky artstyle, it's mild horror done right. Good job man this is *mwah

Yes, but I still absolutely hate Bluestar. She was the reason Swiftpaw died and Brightheart was left traumatized. She refused to let them become warriors due to something Tigerclaw did. You cannot forgive Bluestar for doing that, no matter how scared she was.

@@MistyRat she didn’t make them go out and look for dogs trying to be heroes? She had a part in their death but the blame falls on Swiftpaw, and even Brightheart for their reckless mistakes. I love Brightheart but I can accept that it was partly her own fault.

The look of using a mouse to do this fits so well with the song and vibe of this amv though. Not to mention the song itself just really suits Blue in her very-mentally-unwell arc.

This is honestly really impressive, I know it’s a fact of getting used to using a mouse, but it still seems really dificult to do.
I really love the sketchy style in this, and the horror of Bluestar seeing her own dead body, and her eyes going all circkly after she attacked Fireheart. And then her own bloody paw turns into Tigerclaw’s paw from before when he attacked her.

At 0:31 you see that bluestar was quite calm when tigerclaw walked in, but at 1:13 you can see her sleeping with one eye open, and getting scared when fireheart walks in, which really shows how much that traumatic event affected her, amazing job!
Edit: you can also see how petrified she looks at 1:13 but in 0:31 she looks calm, and well-rested

The contrast between 0:45 and 1:15 is amazing, it’s so effective to see how she’s changed. The bite motion from tigerstar is is amazingly smooth and her slapping firestar before realising what she’s done is so powerful. The final scenes as she realises tigerstar has ‘made impressions on her’ is so gorgeous. It’s all very effective and cleverly made, bravo
I feel like Bluestar was super afraid of death and just paranoid that her life would end. Y’know, if she was human she’d want to be some immortal that lived to 1,000. I feel like this obsession with staying alive didn’t help her already depressed mood
i don't think its particularly an "obsession" with living she has consciously but the rather the result of trauma; probably hypervigilence for reasons far within understanding

I love the depiction of Bluestar slowly going crazy, especially after Tigerclaw betrayed her. Also that slap she gave Fireheart was really well done, especially when she looked down at her paw and it morphed into Tigerclaw’s.

I actually really love the way this is done? Like I think I definitely prefer your normal style but the sketchier quality of this style makes it feel somehow more suited to violence/gore/horror? Anyways the mouse only sounds really difficult and it's amazing you were able to do this lol.

1:14 she’s sleeping with one eye open because she’s paranoid that someone will attack her again
Personally, I feel bad for bluestar. She learned she was in a prophecy when she was an apprentice, and her mother also died when she was an apprentice. Soon after that, her sister, snowfur, died when she was a warrior. She had a cross clan relationship with oakheart, and when she had her kits, in order to save thunderclan, she had to give them away to riverclan, and Mosskit died in that journey. Soon after that, there's another prophecy, and her deputy dies. A while after that, tigerclaw attacks, breaking down all of blue stars trust and causing her to go mad, in a way. I believe she finally felt happy again after attacking the lead dog and ending up with fireheart and her two kits, before joining starclan to be with her friends and family.
The contrast between 0:31 and 1:13 is really chilling to me. Bluestar being so traumatised and shaken that she sleeps with her fur on end and one eye open, in comparison to how relaxed she was at 0:31 really shows how broken she was after Tigerclaw's betrayal.
I remember as a kid vehemently defending Bluestar on Animal Jam. Some thought she was crazy but like... her actions made sense from the fear and paranoia she had to go through. Sometimes I wanna re-read those books, they're in storage and not easily accessible, but the memories I do have were fond ones. This really captures what I saw in my brain reading the books as a kid!

Everything about this is amazing. The symbolism and art match the vibe of the song perfectly. The art style slowly getting wobbly and more distorted really captures her descent into insanity. It makes me feel so bad for her and all the shit she went through

And that you realize that their are lots of people who have more experience than you, and we all have different skills.

This perfectly shows her decent into paranoia! I really like this scene 0:56 as I feel it perfectly portrays what it's like to feel paranoid of those around you..afraid they're staring at you, planning something against you, the distrust of those around you
I adore the symbolism of bluestar slowly going more insane while also trying to look for starclans help at the beginning to keep her safe, but she ends up losing it. So well done honestly. ❤

I think Ik the reason why Bluestar slapped FireHeart at 1:16. Because of her hysteria and paranoia, she thanks almost everyone is going after her or in her case, they are “traitors”. But in this case, she thought Fire was Tiger. So that’s why Blue got physical with Fire.
She says that later in first arc.
