- First catch ever on the WCZ Citizen 7!!! I took out the Swimbait for some DEDICATED time on the water and stayed persistent even through seeing Justin catching fish left and right of the crankbait, hoping for that one big bite!!
I was using a Cheap $40 8’ heavy Defy Black Swimbait Rod purchased used off Facebook marketplace, the new Shimano TranX 400HG, and the citizen paired with a 10/0 Owner Beast hook on 25lb GooganSquad Fluorocarbon line.

that concept of waiting on them to set the hook is a super fine line. at the end of the day the fish really needs to inhale it to get a hook in them when you're fishing a big weedless bait. I feel sometimes waiting can hurt u because they have time to spit it but also sometimes it gives them that extra second to suck it in a little deeper.
Correct it varies! With the larger soft plastics they seem to hold on and try to inhale it just a second longer for us

@@WestinSmith Dang, it just doesn't look right. I like most of my reels to "feel" the same, so whatever I pick up, the reaction is consistent. I never buy just one of anything, so I'd have to try one before dropping the cash on a half dozen. I can read all that is good about a product from the manufacturer, I look to you to give the odd downside. Love to see your subs growing, you certainly earned it!

It would! But no need for the 400 spool size or power handle. The regular TranX handle is already larger from what I hear plus the 400 we got for travel/saltwater use

Might wanna look into the regular paddle handle for your tranx or a custom double paddle handle...the power handle isn't for the type of fishing you do...ponds, bass, and swimbaits...those power handles are for hard pulling musky baits or saltwater fish
I got it for content. Less people have seen it. It does good for my Instagram photos and creates a lot of curiosity. Appreciate ya though
@@WestinSmith ohhh I was talking about fishing not reel clout...I'm telling ya you can make tranx perfect for what you do...look into getting the factory Shimano double paddle handle or a custom Hawgtech handle you can get at TW...I have a 300 and 400 with power handles for my musky and striper fishing and a 300 with double paddle Hawgtech handle for Swimbaiting for bass...now if you plan on pulling big braid and a double 10 musky Bucktail then you need the power handle...it's science lol

If you would have told me 20 year's ago that everyone would be running around with video cameras filming everything their doing I would have thought you was CRAZY. BUT WHAT PEOPLE DON'T REALIZE IS YOUR COMPLETELY KILLING YOUR PRIVACY. People are more worried about filming their experiences THAN THEIR EXPERIENCES. I'm not knocking this filming society I just don't understand it. This is one of the reasons EVERYTHING has become a tourist attraction because EVERYONE sees CZcams videos and then EVERYONE AND THEIR MOTHER WANTS TO RUN OUT AND DO WHAT THEY SAW ON CZcams.
