Un granelero (FXE #4815 y CSXT #3099) con rumbo a Chihuahua, se pasó una luz roja y se embarró de frente con un automotriz (FXE #3113, FXE #3167 y FXE #2034) que iba a Ciudad Juárez. Un máquinista (J.T. Chaparro) perdió la vida y otros cinco resultaron seriamente heridos.
