The part around Lakenham Mill was known as the Cock after the pub which was near by, such a shame to see the state of the river there with all the trees across it. As a kid in the 70's we spent hours playing in there.
Really enjoyable listening to you negotiate all of those issues. You talk of the proximity of car parks to launch points. Do you always inflate your boards at your car and carry them to the water or do you ever inflate them at the water’s edge and carry the pump with you “on board”, so to speak? I’m a new SUP purchaser all kitted up about to go for my first paddle…somewhere in Suffolk. Did a two hour taster on the Stour and didn’t fall off so I’m brimming with confidence! (self deprecation).

The big crack in the concrete bridge, 2nd plank from downstream edge, would worry me more than the shopping trolley. Great video, thanks
