Guy Garvey doesnt just sing..he brings the crowd into the song and just fills you with love.
Simply beautiful…always makes me feel so emotional and evokes such memories of growing up in the 70’s on a council estate in Nottingham.
The best live version of an absolute gem of a song. It always cuts right through me and leaves a lump in my throat, moving me even at times when little else does. It reminds me I'm still alive.
This song makes more and more sense as I get older.

The songs ages with you. And will always be great. Those lyrics were ment to be in the song…. And the piano is hauntingly beautiful. I am thankful that I stumbled upon it a lot of years ago… can’t imagine not knowing this beauty.
After I saw Elbow this year on Werchter, my soul never felt that close to my body. Really, what they do is amazing. Good harmonies, good voices, good melodies, best lyrics, beautiful and professional people (just look at his smile on the ending of this video) standing on stage. This is real art to me. They bring me the magic of the world. For some people, the idea of God lightens up their world, but to me God is ART. Now, let's listen one more time :)
This song really moves me. After such a song, you realise how precious your youth is, and that you should enjoy your life, it can be over so soon, look at the lives lost at Pukkelpop 2011. I have never gotten goosebumps on my arms and tears in my eyes by a song. This band is truly amazing!

I like the small cup of beer at the beginning - not to much, just enough to quench a thirst and clean the chords. Very subtle just like the song.
Saw them in Paleis 12 in Brussels. Very good live voice even after 20 pints because he's drinking the whole time! I would fall of the stage but he just keeps on singing perfect!

Geweldig op werchter 12. Achteraan ergens in het gras liggen, maar toch nog op het grote scherm alles mee kunnen kijken, op de eerste dag van de vakantie na Rise Against en Blink 182 :) dat was puur genieten.
