Was just flipping through a few random videos this evening - awesome share hey… I rebuilt an old pontoon this past fall and left it pretty barren of seats and other items as it’s a 24’ but I really didn’t have much of use for it - until now.. I’ll be finishing it into a fishing vessel with the ability to spend a few days on it as well! You have a new subscriber..

What a wonderful way to spend some time relaxing and enjoying nature. Kevin if you do get a bit cold but don't want to run the heater put on a stocking cap when you go to bed, if your head stays warm it helps keep your body warm.

Kevin, check out the coleman self inflating camping pad. Add it to your cot, you will never camp without it. They make a big boy one also. Makes cot sleeping almost as good as bed. It rolls up small, no pump or anything. Check it out.

Hey, before you cancel your coleman stove, try fully turning the flame knob until it clicks. The click is the flame ignition on my similar stove, which looks just like your coleman but different color.

Hey Kevin, I’m new to your channel. I saw the video showing that Boat gear. At time you just had the Bimini top. Where did you get the enclosure? It is not on your gear video nor in the description. Does it have screens? I would like to do night fishing. I’m a crappie fisherman. But the bugs are awful here in the summer in NC. My wife refuses to go after our one time of being swarm by bugs ( they were millions of them).

Just an FYI anchoring out on the bow and stern is a recipe for disaster if the winds picked up. You want your boat to stay bow into the wind and waves.

Hey Kevin, I recently bought an 18' Pontoon boat and was doing some looking around at other peoples setups. I stumbled across your Catfish Boat Setup video and loved everything you did with it, I'm going to basically mimic your setup minus a few things but had a question about your Bimini top and Enclosure. Is that the PontoonStuff bimini top? That's what it looks like to me, if so that answers that question, if not where would I snag one of those? And then is your enclosure custom or does some company make that for that bimini top? Let me know I'd love to fish out of my boat this winter from the comfort of an enclosure! Thanks.

How much fuel do you use on average with this setup?
Depends on if I run it wide open. It’s actually decent on fuel being a 4 stroke. I usually burn about half of a 20gallon tank per trip

I’m pretty sure that 22 fishing rods is the issue…you should try 23-26…I believe that is a much better number for a solo fishing trip.

Yo bro, is it ok to sleep with that propane heater all closed up inside the pontoon? Be careful
There are plenty of vents and I also have a co2 alarm. Perfectly safe

Lol. It was plenty for me!
WHY is it in every video I see someone opening a propane gas bottle they do it in a dangerous way. 1/4 turn is all you need for propane. opening it up all the way or a 1/4 turn makes no difference to the flow of the gas as it is reduced after the valve at the regulator. Where it does come in effect is in an emergency if you need to shut down the tank, do you want to be able to take a quick 1/4 turn and then move away or do you want to stand there turn, turn, turn, booom!!! Next time you open a Propane tank listen to the gas travelling from the tank to the regulator you her a little pssst for a sec during the initial 1/4 turn. That is how long it took to pressurize the line from the tank to the regulator. There is no need to open it any further as the pressure in the tank will feed the regulator faster than the regulator can release the gas. And if someone says what if the tank is low on gas. then change it as once the there is no more liquid propane in the tank then pressure will not be maintain for very long like maybe a few minutes before the gas pressure is depleted as it is the liquid propane converting to a gas that maintains the pressure in the tank once all liquid is converted pressure will drop quickly. So Please STOP OPENING YOUR PROPANE GAS TANKS MORE THAN A 1/4 TURN. Just ask Hank Hill. Or any wielder that works with high pressure gasses.
