Shaun meets techno titans Underworld ahead of their 6 Music live session at the BBC's legendary Maida Vale studios. See more videos from 6 Music Live at Maida Vale: www.bbc.co.uk/events/r358q9
I was right at the front for this show and managed to meet Rick and Karl whilst waiting to get in. They signed a couple of bits of vinyl for me and got their assistant to take a photo of the 3 of us together. The show itself was amazing but I totally agree with the comments about the awful interviewing. I was also at the Orbital and Leftfield Maida Vale Radio 6 shows and they were great but spoiled by rubbish interviewing.
Right, their tech: ga ga ga, close up on Rich playing, I mean as children do, together with a champion of eloquentia; hidden Karl, but always a glass in his hand, because he was born already drunk (he?🤮🤮🤮🤮 He's the only one sober)(as Rick was born already married); more hidden, Darrens, because they always act in darkness. Very precise👉
Possibly the worst interview ever. Shaun, whoever he is, has no idea how to ask a decent question, or how to let the interviewee respond to the few he does ask. Far too fond of the sound of his own voice.
So, ingredients: a woman talking a weird (german?) english, laughing as a swinging metal panel; a man holding a pistachio icecream, without eyebrows; a guy asserting that music is a tangle of wires, playing badly a toy Bontempi tiny piano; a great singer in the back, taking pics and a faint figure, totally useless. Great job. Cook it for 10 minutes
Probably the worst interviewer ever. He literally forgot to mention or give credits to Darren Price.
Agree
Fuck sakes, that was a bad interview. It's not every day ppl get to see Rick behind his desk...c'mon.
1:36 Rick: (Ok, I'll play Born Slippy's chords, probably the most recognizable stuff I have)
Sean: Uhmmm... is it Abide with me?
Poor Darren Price!!
4:48 Oh, the irony!
Darren Price was there too goddammit !!

04:27 - Karl and the unintroduced Darren give each other the who-the-fuck-is-this-idiot look.
Look mum I’m a Radio 6 presenter! I don’t have to know anything, just waffle on.
These people actually get paid by the BBC to do this? Lauren and Sean? Who are they?
At 4:07, Underworld.exe has stopped. (It's a computer joke.)
Auf wiedersehen is the right word🙋
"Were putting a banging donk on it already" like wtf? Dreadful interview 😂
Anyone fancy a pint?
It's descending down the same hole that took Top Gear.
(Hello there BBC producers! This message is for you! Sort your shit out please!)
Bbc at its worst.

Next « interview», hope they have focus on the band, not themselves. Is this supposed to be funny?

Horrible interview
BBC 6 Music is a disgrace!
