Man, I really love these videos. It's nice that the person talking isn't annoying either. This is my kind of shit, I wish I lived in an area that had events like this.
ya i no i watch about all of your vids love them i think your the one that make these vids and sticks to it
It was some great racing
Great Work!! Keep it Up!! THANKS!!!!
I really wish that I could like it more than once!!!!
Mustangs...Mustangs everywhere!
"Silverback" has biggest intro and own camera.
Runs the slowest full run out of everyone.
Great Footage man!
Nasty, Ive seen Charlies car in person and the silver trans am at edgewater at least 10-15 times. Both extremely nice cars.
man that red procharged stang is so loud your camera cant take it. Good stuff
Excellent Thanks for sharing
wish it was 1/4 mile but still love the suund
That Grand National at 14:50 man love those cars
love the dart and procharger stang
great video home town when is this years my fox is not ready for it this tho
Foxbodies seem to rule the drag strips around here, not really sure why.
great vid man glad i found ya gotta sub up to this
phil hines laying it down with smallblock FORD!!!
Nah man I dig it all. It's nice and simple. "Nitrous Mustang; far lane". Any other comments are basically what I'm thinking in my head anyway - "god damn, he's ROLLIN!" Makes me wish I found it earlier, but then again, I'm locked in 4ft of snow right now, so this is perfect timing.
Love it
hell yeah man thanks for watching! Hope you checked out the Xtreme Outlaw Season Final video that I uploaded after this one!
Awesome sir I should have a brand new GoPro Hero 3 to stick on it, see you there! Round 1 is coming fast!
That moment where ford proves that they are about that drag life
How many were LS swapped tho! Lol
I appreciate the insight sir, thanks. Four feet of snow is ridiculous man I am sorry to hear, I hope you get to have some fun out of it though, snow can be a blast with the right vehicles;)
Don't worry, almost every single one of these cars can be seen running full quarter mile passes in my other videos, the XOS is the only one that runs 1/8th mile. Once you have watched a few there is little difference, these cars are f'n flying on these small tires!
that s dime is a MONSTER!!!
Best looking cars ever, and easy to make fast.
95% of the races on my channel are full 1/4 mile and many of the cars are the same this is just one series and after filming this concluded that as a spectator, there is practically no difference. The cars are still yanking wheels and running fast times with big motors. As a driver, I certainly agree I would rather race a full quarter mile myself but racing additional 1/8th mile classes would allow more racing with less wear and tear. Feel free to call out any of these guys, like Phil Hines;)
thanks buddy, I am just getting warmed up!
well wyldfantasyx my 1987 T-Type Regal should be ready this year for XOS. I've got no problem with you throwing a camera on it.
nice
I wasnt trying to start trouble I am doing the best I can with what I have and still run around and have a good time. New badass camera coming soon! Thanks everyone who watches regardless of my crappy camera skills!
That was his first time on 8.5 limited tires he is going much faster now, stay tuned for new videos of the SLVRBCK Trans Am!
That was the Silverback Trans Ams first XOS event on limited 8.5 Outlaw tires and I always start out with the guys I know and familiar with until everyone is cool with me sticking the camera on their cars... I have been filming the SLVRBCK since it was a 12 second car all the way into the 9's and later it will make a cool video to see him improve over time. I heard something about a turbocharger for the 2013 season, stay tuned!
What engine size do the nitrous cars typically run?
haha its a never ending battle!
So which wa best turbo or procharger?
i meant the body. and technically it would be a 4.9 if they were. thanks buddy ;)
Bad ass
good video but next time leave the music out.
Phil Hines races this series and is in this video, he just made a 6 second pass Saturday at 198 on Drag Radials so I doubt you are faster than that sir.
I wonder why people put turbo in the muscle cars there is nothing wrong with it it's just superchargers seem to fit more for the muscle category
Because turbos make more power
Because turbos produce more power than anything else.
Because turbochargers are powered by exhaust fumes, which spool the turbo and create boost. Superchargers leech power off of the belt because that's how they're driven.
Anyone can unbolt their intake manifold and slap a roots style on, or even just mount a centrifugal. It was quick and easy power across the range. However the "classic muscle car" ideologies had to go because a supercharger just saps power as it makes it. Turbochargers were the best for making good power without leeching any off of the belt. They produce more boost, and are self contained (conversely to a supercharger) they get mounted somewhere along the headers of the vehicle, so the exhaust can spool. The only downside to a supercharger versus a turbo is the spool time, especially with larger turbos. However, with good tuning (or a powerful V8 with low end torque), or even just brake boosting you can get all the low end power you need to take off and let the turbo take over.
Power differences are immense, a roots or centrifugal are good and easy to use and make good power across the board, depending on the vehicle. Usually somewhere around 7-12PSI (I believe, correct me if I'm wrong, it can be more though) all the way across the RPM range of a vehicle making usually somewhere between 100-150 more hp, although they can make a lot more.
However Turbos can be tuned anywhere from a "low" 6 PSI all the way up to 30 even 40 PSI, and I'm sure can go higher. Turbochargers leave a lot more to be fiddled with but if you have good settings turbos can take you all the way up to the 1000s in HP numbers (obviously not alone, supporting mods as well)
TL;DR Superchargers are easy to toss on, aren't as difficult to fiddle with. Being belt driven means they sap power as they make it. They make good power across the RPM range. Turbochargers are finicky and more difficult to install but give you a stronger boost and can make much higher numbers on average than superchargers.
(Again if I'm mistaken anywhere, feel free to correct me, this is just my understanding of it I'm no where near as knowledged on this as the people on this channel)
+Nick Wall Turbos draw power to operate, also. They do this by backing up the exhaust flow. Without significant exhaust back pressure, which reduces engine pumping efficiency, the turbine will not spin.
There are some applications where a mechanically driven SC is an advantage, and others where exhaust driven is better. Neither one operates for "free", and neither is across the board better in all cases.
more videos of both cars coming soon!
Out off all those cars the stands are the lightest anyways.. That's one of the reason people get them...not saying they are the best looking cars there...lol
1/4 MILE or nothing.. that is what the big boys race
looks like an all mustang shootout, minus the few delinquents.
When did Charlie switch to an auto, I thought he was 3 pedal guy for life?
lol its 1/8th mile dont worry, check out my other videos to see some of these cars run full 1/4 mile action!
Nothing turns me on more than the sound of a turbo or procharger whine.
The foc body at 8:28 picked the wheels up twice
That silver Trans AM WS6 seems like its having troubles. It looks like it is capable of more
It's a G.M. product that's about all you're going to get
the camera is garbage I need a new one I think its doing that because there is a scratch on the lenses. The camera doesn't have any setting where I can change that. As soon as I can afford a new camera I will get one.
Bottle Fed Babies, :D
I think you were looking for the word "Foxbody"
Dam are the cars that fast or what cause they make it seem like its shorter than 1/8
No go do a ghost rider thing with one of these
3:32 the lady in the hovaround scooter is lookin for a race.... was she a nitrous, turbo, or procharged entry?!?!?!? lol jkjk
Huh? I have no idea what you mean dude.
awesome thanks I will! I am uploading the newest Xtreme Outlaw Series video I just made as I type this, check it out when you get a chance!
"OMG Phil Hines"
sub'd
is a procharger a class or an item.I mean I never heard of a procharger.
Not knocking it at all. Just see the humor in it. :)
I see Phil still can't do a proper burn out in the burn out box!
Haha...I just enjoy drag racing.
Sounded like he is about the only one running a manual transmission.
Normally about 450+ ci.
Most of my videos are 1/4 with some of the same cars check them out!
Don't they look good... I mean the 5.0...lol
Can you appreciate the good footage regardless?.....Either that or take YOUR cam out there and do some filming.......
turbocharged v8
5.0---5.0 another 5.0 another 5.0 5.0 5.0 like wow. thats all people run these days lol
math is to hard!
We invented this shit
uhhhh, guess what buddy, there is not one single 5.0 in any of the cars in this video I am pretty sure;)
hell yeah. damn these liquored up comments.
mines bigger, thats why i dont run 1/8 mile AND i can complain. ;)
That poor mustang...!!! Lol
The one that kept stalling was probably Chevy powered that would explain the problems
@@kirbyvanduzer6565 All Day...
"G"arbage "M"aterial
he thought you were some rich guy with no camera skills.
yeah, two cars yanking the wheels same as a full quarter mile, real boring lol
Damn anoying music..
Ok I found out my answer to my question the car I was talking about was Phil Hines mustang it's powered by a 431 sbf it's violent I do plan on building a car of My own eventually I plan on calling it the Hellfox I'll start with nitrous sbf as soon as I get good and win enough money to upgrade I'll be putting a 593 BBF twin turbocharged 130mm turbochargers it's going to be built to be a world record breaking car just to give an idea of just how violent it's going to be it's going to be like five Phil Hines procharged mustangs combined I'm really hoping I can make it a reality but between my two jobs and if I start building performance go kart a lawnmower engines and if they sell good just with those engines alone will be 6_7,000 dollar's in sales combine that with my two jobs I should make more than enough to make the car I'm really hoping to make it a reality
What's under the hood of the procharger 03 mustang someone said 5.0 is it a 5.0 hopefully it's not some Chevy cross breeding garbage
fuck 1/8th mile is SO boring.
phil hines laying it down with smallblock FORD!!!
