    This week George Bogatiuk From SoundTraxx and JT Burke of Scale Sound Systems Discuss the development of the sound revolution with cube speaker enclosures that enhance the sound experience 10 fold. JT just wanted to improve the sound in his models as a sound engineer but in reality changed the hobby for all of us with his amazing developments that have become the industry standard. Watch as he tells his story. Daniel Coombs, Ed Dressel and James Regier add to the discussion along with Ken Patterson. We also discuss InterMountains new run of auto racks in Ho scale with 2 types of end doors and side screens representing different eras. Ken shares the new N scale project layout for MRHM's What's Neat video. Walk around sound systems by SoundTraxx and the new TCS UWT-50 Mini throttle is also discussed along with a special pre-order price announcement. Daniel shares his new 7 1/2 in gauge locomotive and teaches special guest Cathy Eaton how to run trains with the NCE DCC system for the 1st time. Lots of fun in 44 minutes with your friends in the best hobby in the world this week.

    I'll just say, I've tried "sugar cube" speakers and JT's speakers. JT's blow away any "sugar cube" that I've heard.

    Really like having JT on this. Yes, his speakers are the best! What I like the most is you take his outstanding speakers and pair them with decoders that are really capable of such great sound (Sountraxx and ESU are my favs) and you take the realism to such an amazing level in such a small package. Great show!

    My two favorite racks are #3. FNM, #2. BNSF (Orange), #1. P & W in White. Ill be buying my first Tsunami2 and Scale Sounds speaker real soon!
    Better start looking into straight 6 Detroit Diesels for the upcoming new era layouts where you can run vehicles along with the trains.

    Another great show.
    I will have to give JT speakers a try in my HO scale locos.
    I have been using the Surroundtraxx system on my N scale layout 'Santa Barbara' for some years. I works great at shows with the under board speakers and floor monuted subwoffer, as you can adjust the volume to suit the background noise during the day. Just a shame that all the shows last year and many so far this year in the UK have been cancelled due ot the virus. Can't wait to take the layout out to shows again.

    Hi Ken and All, Just before the pandemic let loose my younger daughter and granddaughter were going to build an HO layout. But the virus has greatly slowed us down not being to get together. Both of them have O gauge Lionel, my daughter has my old one we bought our granddaughter’s when she was about 4. Both have been crazy about trains since they were young. I enjoy your CZcams videos but I’ve been out of it for close to 35+ years. Watching your videos the hobby has become so sophisticated and detailed compared to mine from the 1960-70s. What I’d like to know , do you have a site that lists all those showcased their products at one place as opposed to chasing around to find products we might want to use. Case in point #142, last week, you had a company that manufactures tracks of different heights(?) but also a product that helps line up modular sections. Having all in a central site would make it easier for us old people working with young ones, though they’re not all that young 44 & 25. Damn I just realized I’m older than both of them added together. Anyway just a thought, we’ll be working with a shop near my daughter’s business. I’m also watching Larry Pucket the DCC Guy and a few others. The girls are in charge of anything involving computers. I watch episodes with them and I’m way out in left field. Thanks, Bill C

    I have installed JT’s speakers into 60 of my diesels. I usually do my own frame mods so I can use his larger U-fit series. Now JT is working on my steam (I hate messing with steam. Lazy?)

    I'm just disappointed with onboard sound period!!! It has a lot to do with the recording itself!!! No matter how you dice it, the sound is heard as if it is trapped!!! Plastic shells do nothing for getting the sound out of the shell. I chose to use sound that travels with the train, with big hairy subwoofers, and tweeters that make the sound come to full size life. It uses SCR's that open and close to make the sound follow the train. There are two speakers that bounce off of each other right at the locomotives level!!!

      TCS does have official distribution in the UK, and is currently accepting and processing pre-orders worldwide. Pre-orders will be distributed globally from both the US and UK offices respectively. For the already-available UWT-100 throttle, you can place an order from TCS and have it shipped directly to you from our UK office!

    is James going to be selling the clysdale and wagon once the load has been figured out? How much would he be willing to sell for? If reasonable how can i get my hands on one?

    • @JamesRegiersModels
      @JamesRegiersModels Před 3 lety +1

      Definitely stay tuned. This was a prototype, so there are a few changes I need to make to the wagon itself before it's ready for market. I would also like to figure out a mesh for some suitable drivers, harnesses for the clydesdales, a dalmatian, and a load. Maybe some wagon lanterns, too.
