Please forgive me if I'm being presumptuous here, but I feel like I'm in a similar spot. If you want to, we could gladly share some experiences.
@@katieg1560 Learning guitar and metal detecting are both great for mental illness. I have depression, anxiety, and schizoaffective disorder. These are the two hobbies that helped me most. Ashthorpe sells a very inexpensive but fantastic acoustic electric guitar for learning. They tune well, sound nice, and I honestly don`t understand how they sell them for such a low price. Also check out the Vanquish 340 detector. It`s a very deep machine and multi frequency and extremely stable on beaches in wet sand. The 440 has a low iron bias setting though that can help separate good targets from iron.

I’m been using Whites and Garrett machines for about 7 years now.
I tried the Simplex and didn’t care for it. I have to say I’m liking what I’m seeing coming out from Quest. They look like well built machines at a affordable price point.

Mine will be arriving in about a week have been eyeballing these machines for awhile now im using a bounty hunter quick silver right now and its decent but not for my liking anymore so its going to my kids to get then interested in the art
Only been out a couple of times with my X10. Found a 1896 halfpenny and some bullet casings so far. Getting a lot of readings at 7+ inches but being hampered by tree roots.
Cant wait for the beach test .Looking for a budget machine that also can handle the beach conditions . Stay safe

Good day Sir as a quest professional I ask you this I find with my q30 the target ID number in park for a specific target is different in field mode is this normal ? Ps yourself and Mr buttons inspired to try he hobby and the quest unit

You'll need a JCB with a bucket on the front if you want to go down in metres.

Hey there just watch this video even though it's from a couple years ago still!,good! I was hoping to see your beach video on this machine.... I have a couple questions if you don't mind answering.... I'm not sure if you're an equinox owner but I was curious if the headphone jack has the same input as equinox so you could use the same waterproof headphones jack setup as the equinox on the q30?
And will you be doing a beach video on this machine possibly underwater too.. I was told this was a water resistant....... machine but I seen on the box when you were unboxing it it said waterproof just wanted to see if that's what it is or not? all right thank you I hope to hear from you soon.
Hi Kris, from my experience of FeSen on the Quest machines you want to keep it low in the UK. It enhances iron feedback which is great on US parks for bottle tops, but over here we want our detectors to be more optimistic? The old Q40 only had FeSen on/off and I found it best to keep it off. The only thing I don't like it won't give VDI numbers very deeply but you only get sound
I have the Q30+ great machine. Unfortunately the QuestGo app appears to be problematic. In fact I, along with many others are unable to get past the first hurdle, which
is creating an account with the app. You provide an email address and a password, you should be then sent a verification code. All that happens is a verification not sent
message appears. I have tried iphone and android phones non work. This means that I will never be able to update firmware. Shame, but I won't be buying quest products in the future.
It’s a shame isn’t it? The 30 is brilliant for the price (well, the whole range is!) but the app situation doesn’t make sense at all. I know there aren’t any firmware updates, so why have it at all? It just reflects badly on a brilliant product.

Just bought the Q30+ very pleased with it, the only thing is, on the spec it states it has two back lights which is correct, it also says it has a light for low light conditions, this is incorrect there is no light.
They is the buttons on the right hand side
The charging connection replaced the light, they have not updated the advertising for at least 12 months.

I’m 100% honest in my reviews. Anyone that’s been on this channel for years will tell you that. I’ve more than proved myself.
I am paid by Joan Allen as a distributor. So, I have no particular affiliation with any brand. We’re going through them all, review-wise.
Also, I try and do a number of hunts with any particular machine as you’ll see. That way it’s completely transparent, and you can see yourself how well a machine does. If I was to just review a machine, or just do one hunt, it wouldn’t be a good reflection on how a machine works.

I am liking this, so glad it is waterproof, just an interesting observation, it would seem the q30 is using a segmented LCD screen which basically means it is fixed display (segments on or off) with no ability to change the layout of what is displayed (like the old calculators). this would mean that it can't be updated although should have good readability, power usage and It does likely reduce the build cost. I guess it is a toss-up between this and the Nokta Simplex for me at the moment purely for the price and underwater capability as I live in Sardinia and love to beach hunt.

I think too many people make opinions about detectors, claiming theirs is best without trying the other. I really don't like that, so in that instance - I can't give you an answer (for now) as it wouldn't be fair.
I've never used the Simplex. I will be testing it in the future, though!

I have both of them. Field Simplex and park Quest Q30. Beach both are about the same.

Yes the are 3 schops in Belgium and the all say the same We don't sell it anymore. really the truth and I got my money back and Get my a garret 400i today something with updates and screen problems
