In some books n is taken as k in case of paraboloid
I am aware of this. I have seen the same in Das & Pal book. But it is definitely wrong concept wise, although the answer turns out to be same in both the cases.

BS, a length is not equal to a surface area. Why do you not include the units?
When we are integrating length components over a given interval it is becoming a surface area. I have missed writing the units at the end of the problems, but I hope they are understandable 👍
