- Sonic 2 XL is a hack of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis by Captain Bozo and Ranger. Rings are replaced with onion Rings, and Sonic becomes fatter after eating them.
Sprites created by ME Blacky for: Metal Sonic, Amy, and Ray.
Others created by: Ranger, AsuharaMoon, Gardow.
In this video i will explain how Sonic gets fat, loses fat and transforms into Super Sonic. As well we will see other characters like: Metal Sonic, Amy, Ray, Tails, Knuckles, Shadow, Mighty in Sonic 2 XL how they look in each stage of fatness.

Level 1- Perfectly Normal
Level 2- Still good weight but can’t jump high enough in some areas
Level 3- Becomes noticeable and can’t run faster or jump even higher
Level 4- Idle animation becomes different and you can still roll like a ball and spin dash
Level 5- He can’t roll or spin dash anymore but still can run or jump but weaker
Level 6- Not able enough to jump on springs or run at least 5 miles an hour
Level 7- Become a first hedgehog to be in 600 pound life show. Doctor: No more onion rings!
I'm at level 3, and sooner I will be at level 4

this romhack looks so hilarious, i had a hard time getting all emeralds, but this hack still needs to add all the remaining frames from sonic/Super sonic and fix a couple of bugs with the Sneakers monitor, but also jumps on water. Its such an hilarious way to play Sonic2. Very passionate & good idea. I hope some day this one keeps getting updated & completed, since I know this romhack have several years of its release already.
