Dear Bishop - I am listening to these utube lenten talks of 2023 in 2024 from Canada.. you ended your talk, with, "any questions, or does this make sense?:.., and there was silence.. I think, this is because, this message is so profound, that it's still rooting its message inside of us, and is speaking deeply to all of us... I believe, many of us can relate to this saint as well... your message on "Love " so true.. we think it's easy, or a feeling, or what the world says what love is...but the reality is, it is not... we base it on our attachments of what we think love is, and if not met to our standards, we quickly fail.. Love, Detachment and humility...thank you for reminding us of what St . Terese said and your own spin on it.. it truly struck home with me... I now realize, I don't love the way Christ wants me to Love...God is love and we need to recognize what that love truly is.. : and ask that question, "why do I fail?"
Thank you and may God continue to Bless you...your talks are very inspiring, and spoken with great sincerity and honesty.. Thank you
🙏🙏❤

St. Theresa of Avila, Pray for Us.Amen
Amen 🙏
Thank Bishop Greg for the very enlightening talk. I've read the Story of a Soul long time ago; like you, I felt that Therese was a bit of a neurotic and gave away the book. On her Centenary a friend gifted me the book and read it again; then attended the retreat given by Fr. Aloysius. Therese is just the friend I need in my old age! If get to know more about it, you'll know why.
I'm looking forward to the next talk . . .
❤ I pray I can make the change this Lent🙏
Thank you Bishop Greg for your insights Paul

It was yesterday that I had no lunch but you came through you provided supper for me and my children God am grateful
I thank and praise God I found you here in CZcams. You make profound sense and you give me hope. Your spirituality and that of Santa Teresa speak to my heart.
Thank you for your beautiful and inspiring homilies and Lenten teachings. May God, Santa Teresa and San Juan de la Cruz continue to bless and inspire you. I live in Iowa, USA, my grandfather was from Tarancon, Cuenca, 2 hours away from Avila....He died in Puerto Rico (my homeland) when my mother was 10 years old in 1916...I am close to the end of my life now and joyful I have found you in this world wide web. I join my hands and bow my head in grateful respect. Thanks again!
Thank you once again, Bishop Greg. Pax et Bonum Br. Karl
Interesting. Yes, I fail and I have my attachments. But we know that healthy self-esteem and positive self talk is important to our well-being. It takes a long time in this spirituality it seems, to acknowledge what we're good at, to acknowledgement not that we've fallen, but gotten up. Our strengths can help us address our challenges. I'm waiting to hear that I'm not a complete failure and that I can do, and have done, some things well.
