I’m taking the USMLE Step 1 in April 2023 and I think the Kaplan in-center course sounds right for me! I think I would benefit from structured in-person courses and live feedback.
Although im too early to take the UCMLE, I think im leaning towards the PASS program. Taking scheduled classes will reinforce me to wake up early and pay attention. Great video!
Great comparison of the different USMLE prep courses! Saves medical students so much time in research. I think that the Pass program might be best because for a live program, it is half the price of Kaplan, and the time period/scheduling that the course offers is more flexible.
I'm thinking I want to go with the Kaplan Prep course. I'm not very good at structuring my study time so having help with accountability is something that I think I'll need to truly do well.

Hello I am not sure which is the right for me as I am an IMG. I'm looking for a course that will guarantee a high score. My dream is to become a neurosurgeon in the US. So if I had to choose one maybe I would take kaplan but it is really expensive so in that case maybe I'll take pass program or lecturio. Thank you for a well-rounded review with different options for every type of learner. I think I would need the live interaction and structure offered with Kaplan and PASS. That being said, it's hard for me to decide between Kaplan and PASS. I like the immersive bootcamp feel of PASS but Kaplan's prep books and question explanations are invaluable.

If you go with PASS or Kaplan, you don't need to combine with other materials. So not strictly necessary to get other materials as well, though using First Aid always helps.
