Hello everyone, and welcome to Ebonyi State news today! I heard that the price of tomatoes has decreased recently, so I decided to check it out for myself. Saturdays are for shopping, right? As the market woman that I am, I headed out to get some tomatoes because, honestly, it's been a while since I had fresh tomatoes. You can't blame me, Nigeria has been tough on us.
Just a quick reminder, this is Ebonyi People TV, your go-to source for everything Ebonyi and beyond. Come along as we do some market shopping at the popular St. Margaret Umahi International Market.
On my way, I remembered an interesting encounter I had while traveling to Enugu and thought to share it with you all. So, let's go shopping while I tell you this story and get your opinions.
Don't forget to like, share, and subscribe to Ebonyi People TV for more updates and stories.

I had a similar experience many years ago, I boarded a bus from EBSU, Ishieke campus to town I sat alone in the front seat, half way into our journey the driver stopped to pick up a lady passenger by the side of the road, the driver opened the door for her to come in and sit right next to me in the front seat I then adjusted a bit to make a room for her but to my surprise she declined
saying as a man I ought to sit by the window and that was strange to me because where I was coming from it didn't matter who sat where and still doesn't, I obliged her but then I became curious I wanted to know why is that. The only reason that was given was that women need to be protected by men.waoh, that sounds nice but good as it seems, it will be ridiculous or even uncivilized for anyone to force me or insist on sitting in particular place in a public bus. It's amazing how people make a big fuss over nothing, does really matter who sits where or who doesn't?

My point exactly does it really matter who sits next to who in a public vehicle... but then people keep saying men are meant to be the protectors incase anything happens.
