      +Just Be Blessed " Everything we do is a testimony to this Christ that we claim to follow "
      I see, Just Be Blessed. Christian doctrine considers homosexuality to be a sin. Is that a testimony to your Christ that you claim to follow?
      Your strap line says "All the time, God is good!". Is your god being good while children die of bone cancer? Is your god being good while the lives of people are being destroyed by tornadoes?

      the christian mythology is great, you can rape, steal and kill but as long as you say "oh god you're so wondeful" three times in front of a mirror before you die, you can still get into heaven.
      ever met a christian who didn't believe they had salvation? no, me neither. christainity is a cop out.

    So true! we have to be apart of someone's lives before getting to deep on correction. For most we need to listen and uplift people! Just love them and show them who God really is!

      you were doing so well, then you mention god. so far all gods have proved to be mythical, and as there is no hard evidence that any do actually exist it seems a shame that so much positive activitiy has resulted from believeing in them. if only gods were benevolent, it would be a good thing to just ignore the lies and move on, but as the god of christian mythology is evil, i have to make this clear. he says "thou shalt not kill" then writes an entire book explaining who and how to kill people. he designs a place set aside to punish wrong doers who break his laws, then forgives them if they suck up. christianity is pointless.

      @@HarryNicNicholas hey my man, you have the right to your opinion. You just don’t understand. Which is ok. Pearls are hard to distinguish. I have my proof. You can put on a graph, study it. It defies logic, But here it is. Something beyond my own power of creating exists within my life. But I keep my fine china on a high shelf. I pray Adonai reaches you in your dreams. And finds you in the street. Because it’s not the fear of hell that draws us in. It’s his kindness that draws us to life. I understand every argument you will make against everything I said. It’s pretty by the book stuff at this point.
      I could argue my points for the need for God and about how science is beautiful but can’t prove the begging of itself. How the Higgs boson particle can’t even be proved without the Higgs Feild and that’s just not there. I could talk about the very person killed within the Bible month wild testament by the invading Israelites had never heard the law and can’t be judged. That’d be pointless. The only thing that’s been proven as mystical are a young earth and that we go to heaven or burn for eternity when we die. You know so little about what this book says because you’ve heard stuff from “Christians” or church that have no idea what they are talking about. The 2nd life is for the dead. We’ll see if they bow knee when eternity is behind, and there’s eternity in ahead. But you wouldn’t know what that means cause you’ve never really read the words for yourself. Did you watch zeitgeist?
      I hope your knee feels better. I hope chaos death and destruction are cast away from you completely! I hope goodness increases in your life. I hope your kindness is known by all who need it. I hope your dreams are coming into fruition. And that you have your favorite sandwich for lunch today.

    In response to Iacontrabasse.
    The Christian belief is based on our personal relationships with our Heavenly Father.
    I pray for you because you're so blinded, "asking people about the details of their lives" does not imply we have all the answers. You're twisting the words.
    When people ask me about my religion I simply say it is love. God wan't us to genuinely care for one another, and asking someone about their lives is taking interest in the person.
    I do not force my faith and my beliefs onto other people. If someone asks me about it I love telling them because finding God changed my life, for the better.
    My 'evidence' is the presence of the Holy Spirit. Something I did not feel until I started asking God to reveal himself to me. Everyones journey is different.

    • @lacontrabasse
      @lacontrabasse Před 9 lety

      Jodie Tlmih Thank you for your reply, Jodie Timih.
      "My 'evidence' is the presence of the Holy Spirit. Something I did not feel until I started asking God to reveal himself to me."
      Why do you discount the highly likely reason that a claimed personal experience of the Holy Spirit is no more than self-delusional wishful thinking?
      "I pray for you because you're so blinded, "asking people about the details of their lives" does not imply we have all the answers. You're twisting the words."
      If you as a Christian do not think you have answers from your faith that could help a fellow human, why would you, in this context, ask people about the details of their lives? The implication is clear to all who have not been blinded by religious faith. Christians think they have something to offer to non-believers. Christians think they have the answers.

    • @jodietlmih8503
      @jodietlmih8503 Před 9 lety +1

      I am a Christian, and I don't think I have all the answers. We are all human and being a Christian doesn't make you perfect.
      Also you said "the implication is clear to all who have not been blinded by religious faith" do you speak on behalf of all these people? No. You can only speak for yourself. I was raised in an atheist household and I question my Christianity all the time. Even if God isn't real, following my faith has only made me a more considerate and patient person.
      I think if you asked ANY Christian they would say that they do not have all the answers.
      It's not about knowing everything, it's about having a personal relationship with God. Something that you will never experience if you're so caught up in pushing the idea out.
      I don't want to continue this debate so lets simply agree to disagree, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
      May God bless you.

      Agnes Philomena"You failed in your response to Jodie Timih.
      You employed the genetic fallacy. Rather than show that the Holy Spirit is illusion, you merely (a priori) explained her SUBJECTIVE experience by some natural explanation."
      The burden of proof is not on me to show that the Holy Spirit is an illusion. The burden of proof rests on Jodie Timih to show that the Holy Spirit is real.
      There are rational, empirical reasons to believe that those who claim experience of the Holy Spirit are experiencing an illusion. I asked Jodie Timih why she discounted all empirical explanations for the experience of the Holy Spirit. She has given no answer. If there is a FAILURE in this spiritual conversation it is not mine, but Jodie Timih's.

    Ascetic Way of Life"
    To the Christian, laying down your life for the proclamation of the Gospel to other people is a good thing. Faith comes by hearing the gospel preached. . .Romans 10:14. How can they that are not saved make a decision for salvation if nobody shares the gospel with them? Romans 10:15 As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news. Isaiah 52:7
    The Great Commission sends us....Mark 16:15 "Go into all the World and preach the gospel of salvation to everyone...".
    Luke 14:33 Says to be a learner (disciple) of Christ, you have to for sake all. . .look at what
    Jesus told his disciples to take with them. . .
    1.) Matthew 10:5-10
    King James Version
    5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:
    6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
    7 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
    8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.
    9 Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses,
    10 Nor scrip for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves: for the workman is worthy of his meat.
    2.) Mark 6:8-9
    King James Version
    8 And commanded them that they should take nothing for their journey, save a staff only; no scrip, no bread, no money in their purse:
    9 But be shod with sandals; and not put on two coats.
    3.) Luke 9:3-5 King James Version (KJV)
    3. And he said unto them, Take nothing for your journey, neither staves, nor scrip, neither bread, neither money; neither have two coats apiece.
    4. And whatsoever house ye enter into, there abide, and thence depart.
    5. And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them.
    4.) Luke 9:3-12 King James Version (KJV)
    As a disciple of Christ you and I have to forsake all first, then we must learn how to live by faith . . .then we need to read and study the Word of God...the Holy Bible.
    1 Timothy 6:7-8
    King James Version
    7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
    8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
    The Great Commission is to live with what you can carry, Going into all the World and heralding loudly with conviction the gospel salvation.
    "Ascetic Way of Life", for some is not doable or some are not willing, to do it...but when you get a vision and really see what's at stake, the souls of men and women, in Christ, anything is possible . . .Hodos!

      oddly enough god wants us to sin so he can have the satisfaction of forgiving us.
      also oddly god wants me to inflict as much suffering as possible because it will always lead to a greater good sometime in the future.

    Humility? "We don't have the answers."
    Oh yeah? Where does the assertion, that everything we do is a testimony to Christ, square with that, then?
    Christians do claim to have the answers. They should not be "asking people about the details of their lives", implying that the Christian does have the answers which can be shown to the non-believer, who is honest enough to know that he has none.
    What Christians need to do honestly, if they want their beliefs to be taken seriously when having spiritual discussions with non-believers, is answer the obvious questions that flow from their Christian assertions.
    The most obvious question, one always avoided by any Christian I've had a spiritual discussion with, is: "What evidence do you have for your belief? Why should I believe your claims?"

    • @lacontrabasse
      @lacontrabasse Před 9 lety +1

      Jesse England "aplogetics will help"
      Apologetics will help what to do what? The only thing that will help Christians to understand the folly of their belief is an honest examination of the reasons for their belief. What evidence do they have to support the claims of their religion? Why should anyone take seriously the astonishing claims of their faith?
      When a Christian realizes that there are no reasons to believe the package of nonsense that is Christian doctrine, in any of its forms, there is a chance that the light of reason and wisdom might shine in.

    • @jesseengland456
      @jesseengland456 Před 9 lety

      Whoa man we see opposite sides to religon. And That's fine.but Christians are just people with feelings are human we feel pain sarrow,joy, like you. and personally i won't avoid those types of questons. i second that christians should think about there beliefs and answer those questions anyone have.

    • @lacontrabasse
      @lacontrabasse Před 9 lety +1

      Jesse England You say you as a Christian should answer questions about your faith, but you haven't answered any of mine.
      You haven't explained what you mean by saying apologetics will help.
      You haven't said why you believe the claims of your religion.
      And you've missed the point the speaker in the video is making about asking people about the details of their lives. She is saying that Christians have something special they can offer to others who may be in some form of distress.
      Of course humans should and do care about each other, but Christians think they have unique answers to people's problems. That is not an example of humility, which is what another Christian in the video claims is a mark of Christianity.
      If Christians think they can help other people better than a non-believer they should justify the claims of their faith. Which means answering questions.
      This video is called "The Art of Spiritual Conversations". In a good conversation people pay attention, and answer questions about their spiritual claims.

    • @jesseengland456
      @jesseengland456 Před 9 lety

      apologetics is reasoned arguments form science,philosophy, logic, history, theology, in defence of Christianity. and those arguments played a big role of why i believe what i believe and spiritual experience plays a big role too. And i'm with you we need humililty. And apologetics works best when both parties are face to face. in irl. And i feel like mutual respect and a good relationship. like in the video plays a key role. which we don't know each other in real life i can't try to get you to believe in God in a youtube comments.
