Kill Em All is the album where Kirk shines the most. Not only because his phrasing is super clear and rocking but also the sound of his guitar is fabulous.
@@zxrecset I don't really care who made what. The fact is that the recording of these solos that remained for posterity were recorded by Kirk. And they sound wonderful. To be honest I don't like the last two decades of metallica too much, but this material is gold.
I don't think Kirk's phrasing gets talked about enough. Hardly ever really. I know some people like to shit on him (personally, I love him), regardless, his phrasing and some of his note choices are excellent.
I don't think so. Except at the start of his career, it's clearly his phrasing and scale choices which is annoying. And I always thought since black album he 's out of tune and I don't understand why.
Good work, but in riff part you play 90% with palm mute, when you must play ~40% with this technique. Check tabs in songster. In my opinion, if you play first part of riff with P.m and second on open strings you have more drive. Good luck from Russia ♥️
