- ANOTHER SONG ALREADY???? WOOOOO!!!
AND A FULLY ORIGINAL ONE THIS TIME! HELL YEAH
This song, once again, stays close to my roots and to what i'm already used to! I believe it's the second time i used this chord progression, with Cosmos being the last time well over a year ago! time sure flys fast!
There's something about those two notes in the bassline that just sound... so melancholic...
This time i deceided to go for something intense, lately i've been doing more slow songs, so i thought it was a nice change of pace!
And it all flowed super nicely! So much in fact, that this is the quickest i've finished a song, it only took around 20 days! Usually i spend about 2 months because i'm an indicisive nerd... so i guess you can consider this my PRIME!
Oh, and... lyrics???? what!???
...I mean... i don't sing... and there's no singer... but there they are, i guess! This is my first time writing lyrics, they're as average as they can get, but hey, it was a fun adventure! :D
As to why i deceided to add them... idk, i was making them up as i was listening to it, and i thought... why not? :D
I kinda regret doing it just because adding them in the editing was PAINFUL. it was genuinelly really tedious XD
This is definitely the most effort i've put into a video before, it looks hella clean! ... to be my first time doing something like this, at least :P
Hell, i even made a small animation for it! ... It's only two frames, yeah, but it's an animation regardless! I'm really proud of it despite being so simple, i've never understood how animators exist in the first place... it took me SOOO long for just two frames that barely change... these people are insane! :D
I was kinda worried about posting this, because my computer SUDDENLY DECIDED TO START BEHAVING WEIRDLY!!! I GOT MY FIRST EVER BLUE SCREEN!!!!!!! WHAT THE HELL!!!!!
These past two days (which is when i started editing this) have been a LITTLE stressful, just a little! my pc kept having issues, it's slow as hell, and i had to deal with the deadline that i gave myself, it didn't help that for like 5 days the mfr would't even turn on!!!
But it's finally done!! and now i can rest... my back hurts from being sat here for two days STRAIGHT. (except i actually took breaks, so it wasn't straight)

I remember back when I first saw your channel with your older msm videos, and while you still are doing something aligned with that, I feel that your original creations (such as this) have some SERIOUS potential. The idea of making an instrument "sing" along with lyrics is genious, your brain kinda fills in the gap, it's like an illusion of someone actually singing them!
The thing that you said about the bassline is also very true, similar to your last song it feels like it's trying to step forward, struggling but still managing to hold on.
I also really like the calmer parts with the water dripping sound effects, that ambience is great.
And I can relate to being indecisive when composing, most of my songs aren't published because I keep editing and updating them as I improve, they never feel like they're finished, haha 😅

For around 2 years i always had the dream to make music or any type of melodies. I remember hearing this 3 months ago and got me inspiered to finally start making something, however i didn't have the time. I wanted to listen to it one more time now to get me the final spark of determination to make music. I applaud you for this amazing work and this is truly one of the best non lyrics (techincally i guess it has some) songs i have heard this year. I always was a fan of this type of either fast/slow paced synthwave (i dont really know if it is called that, i am just saying that i really like the type of style you use, dont know if is an actual style with a name) and wanted to know if you have any tips for starting out, or what type of program or plugins you use or recomend.

I'm not good at giving advice, but from my experience, I got better and better simply from practicing and experimenting!
I use FL Studio, and even though I don't know most of its plugins, I know just what I need (and want) to create stuff!
Keep listening to music for inspiration! This song exists basically because of two songs I'm absolutely in love with, I wanted to do something similar so... I did! :D
You don't really need much to get started either, I don't *really* know music theory, I'm just winging it :)
And the only external plugin I use is Vital, everything else is native
All you need is that passion my dude! Don't give up your dreams! :D

god damn i love this song too much. it feels like the weirdly comforting limbo of being under depressing times, which adds to its whole theming.
also don't be discouraged for the effort of the lyrics, i really enjoyed visualizing them in my head to go with the song, expecially with the editing done on them.
