Lucy is most likely the best female vocalist of this generation. World class! She is probably the 'music treasure' of this decade and maybe even this century. Lucy brings back the kind of singing that most people love. Her talent, ability, dedication and commitment is is evident in every song she sings. Lucy has already accomplished so much and has just turned 20 years old. She has done all this without the help of the sleepy mainstream media! If Lucy continues her career in theater and live performances, God willing, Lucy Thomas will go down in history as a legend, and celebrated as have been all the great âDivasâ of the past!
She does sung this so amazing beautiful voices any song she perform makes it her own of masterpieces. She has beautiful pitch perfect that every notes delivered the vocals are amazing voices and Bob yes it does I agree with you of your comments Lucy never disappoint.
Thanks Bob. I agree with all of your observations on her voice and delivery. Yes, she has a great talent for expressing the sentiment of every song so that the listener feels and believes it. Her latest release is the finale song from the musical 'Rosie' - it has a wonderful orchestral arrangement and the inspirational, uplifting message is superbly delivered by Lucy (including Lucy harmonising with herself). You're sure to enjoy it.

Yes, nice reaction and analysis Bob to Lucy, as usual. Lucy always makes a song her own and this was just another example of her story telling. Also I agree with @colinhea, that Lucy's last release was "We can change the world" which is magnificent. However for a complete contrast to these two masterful pieces, take a look at Lucy's smoky rendition of Etta James's "At Last"- pure magic.

Some similarities to the original but Lucyâs tone and expression is warmer giving a slightly happier feel. Lucyâs voice in a song like this is just unbeatable. Her depths and tones and colours with gentle sweet voice here is sublime. đ„° With a hint of romance. â€

Hi Bob Great you finally got the time. This is a great song and Lucy just nails it the best version of this song I have ever heard. Just a beautiful warm rich tone. For Your info LucyÂŽs live concert is next week in Manchester UK and is sold out she has another Concert in September in Tokyo. And the Stage preview for her musical "Rosie" in London in the Autumn (Fall) She is finally getting out there. Hi Bob, i think that every nuance in a song by Lucy is thought out thoroughly and then executed to perfection, she very subtly changes certain aspects to make the performance her own, the girl is a music prodigy.!!, i have the album beyond, which this is taken from, and it sounds great, but seeing her perform just adds a whole new dimension she has a connection to the viewer that very few artists can emulate. ______Regards,Ian.

Bob, where do I start? First of all, captions not needed because of her clean excellent diction and pronunciation of the lyrics. It also seems that, just as in most of her renditions, this is smooooth, flowing, and relaxing. During the bridge you can see her smile (good since we didn't get one at the end), plus at the end of the bridge where she jumps up and holds a long note (where you paused) her voice blends perfectly with the backing track to where she sounds like an instrument. Amazing. I have not seen the previous version that you mentioned so I cannot compare. Truthfully, to me, she's incomparable; everything she touches seems to turn to gold. MORE: As always her vibrato is great. And, I've said before, she seems to throw herself into whatever she is sing; not just singing but performing.

Bob, sorry, I need to wait to the end before I finish my comments. Another reactor mentioned that Lucy "pulls" notes, which is the delay you mentioned. Doing that and then adding that vibrato just adds to the smoothness.And as you have said before, there's a chill-out feeling when she is singing. It's just her style. My final thought: Lucy covers, she does not copy. She makes them her own. Enough superlatives for now. Thanks Bob for keeping Lucy's photo up on your wall; right where she belongs.

I would like to encourage you to react to her singing another Barbra song, The way we were! She doesn't look at the camera but, maybe once early in the song. Then she goes into memory mode and doesn't look at the camera for the rest of the song. After I watched this video many times, I turned the volume down and just watched her emotions. She actually lives the song, in my opinion! She is amazing, no doubt!
I've became aware of that a while ago. It's part of her magic. She lives each song and shares.

You have just moved into first place on my list of favorite Lucy (and Martha) reactors.

We really need more reactions to Lucy (and Martha) from you.
It appears that you discovered Lucy about a year ago and have faithfully played and reacted to most of her new releases since that time.
With all due respect, while waiting for Lucy's new releases, you have overlooked sensational video performances of Lucy's earlier releases of 2, 3, or 4 years ago, just as most of the other great reactors have also done.
Although Lucy's voice was not quite as refined as it is now, her voice was so powerful, so emotional, and mature beyond her years back then.
Please play and react to them so that we don't have wait so long in between your great Lucy (and Martha) reactions.
I'm sorry, one great Lucy reaction per month just does not fulfill our Lucy reaction craving.

Lucy's version of "I'LL NEVER LOVE AGAIN" blows Lady Gaga's version out of the water.
Lucy's knocks "ALL BY MYSELF" out of the ballpark with power equal to or better than Celine Dion.

I's me again: You once said "when you hear Lucy you know it's Lucy". That really comes to me during the background video segments. There's no question about who is singing. I also noticed this time that during the bridge Lucy really threw herself into this piece. Her body language really popped when the bridge began; stronger movement and she smiles. Every time I watch this I see more. đ
I really like Christina Perri also. Lucy did a great job on this cover. I got 2 of Lucy's signed CDs in the mail last week. "Timeless" and "Destiny". They are both really awesome!
Sorry Bob, I've got more: Even though this is a bust shot, occasionally really makes it first person by bringing her hands to her chest including herself in the song (usually when "I" is in the lyrics). She does that in many of her video and it always makes the piece seem more personal.

Bob, you are a music reactionist, not a music comparison specialist. This world is big enough for anyone to sing as many songs, in their own way, who want to sing them. You just react to the music and the voice and tell us how the music someone sings impacts you.
I've heard a few other reactionists who feel they have to constantly pause, and pick apart the music and the way the person sings each part. Needless to say; I only listened to them once. Too judgy. I'm glad you don't do that.
