A little about me and this channel:
My name is James Aubrey IV and I just recently graduated college from Iowa State University. After college I decided to take a leap of faith. So I moved to San Diego California to pursue my passion for videography/ CZcams. Overall I'm a pretty chill person, outside of CZcams I like to longboard, dance, play video games, lift weights and hangout with my friends. I know that success on CZcams won't happen overnight but I'm willing to stay patient and put in the work to try to prefect my craft daily. This CZcams channel will be centered around my life after college. You will be able to see all of the ups and downs on my journey to success. So if you like the content make sure you subscribe so you can be apart of the Rome Life Family. (Let's build our own personal Rome's together.)
What is the Rome Life ? And What does it mean to be apart of it?
Rome Life is something I started during my Sophomore year of high school (one of the worst times in my life) it started off as me documenting my journey to recovery from my shoulder surgery but eventually it turned into a platform that I could use to encourage myself as well as others to chase our dreams.
Rome Life isn't just a saying it's a way of life and for the people who want to be apart of it have to realize that. Rome wasn't built in a day it took a lot of handwork time and most importantly patience. So you can't expect your dreams to be any different
This is a reaction video used to educated and give my feedback on the song and artist

The Professor will school you every time. RIP Neil Peart.

All hail!!
Amen to that.

None better in my 59 years on earth.

TOUCHÉ
Neil Peart was the drummer God picked to show ALL other drummers how it is done. He was 'The Professor'. His drumming has been called superhuman. The world became a better place when he was in it.
live album ladies and gentlemen the professor on the drum kit
Seeing him do this live 3 different times. And all of them were different. I have never heard 40k+ people get so silent just so they could enjoy every second of his brilliance.
While we went to see the whole band the professor was the real reason
It is a testament to how one man and one band could put down their hated and weapons to come together in silence to hear and watch human perfection! I too am delighted to say I witnessed his aptitude and excellence. Forever and only a Neil Peart fan.
Neil was referred to as "Your favorite drummer's favorite drummer". He also wrote the lyrics for Rush's songs too, which is overlooked by most.
R.I.P. Neil Peart.
"overlooked by most? Who is "most"? DO you know "most" Rush fans? Actually the Rush fans from the 70's or early 80's that grew up with them had LPs with lyrics and liner notes and we read every word on them. That was a big part of enjoying an album. Maybe your music comes stripped down from a digital source. Neil wrote most of the lyrics but not all - certainly nothing on their first album.
@@blacklight4460 Most people in general, not only Rush fans.
Chill out.
@@blacklight4460 In general though, most of the early Rush fans focus 95% on the music and less on the lyrics - as evidenced by them being very vocal about abandoning the guys throughout most of the 80's and dissing the synth era. If they were to listen to the lyrics equally, they would appreciate lines like "sometimes our big splashes, are just ripples in the pool" or "Spirits fly on dangerous missions
, imaginations on fire" just as much as Alex's solo in La Villa, or Geddy's vocals in 2112.
@@dilligaf6544 You got a problem dude? "Most people in general" have still never heard of them. Rush was panned by mainstream music critics for many years because they didn't "fit the mold". But you knew that, right? Why did it take so long to get Rush into the R&R Hall of Fame?
@Marc Poindexter Right on! Same here - I had heard them here and there but didn't really know who they were until the Trees hit the airwaves in '78. Went out an bought the Hemispheres album and the rest soon after.
Neal Peart didn’t move the needle when it comes to drumming excellence, he was the needle.
Right. On. The. Mark.
wow, excellent comment
The saying was that most drummers paid attention to the metronome but that the metronome paid attention to Peart. RIP good sir, you were and are an inspiration.
Well said
Man, if you love this you should see Neil break a stick live and not miss a single beat.
He really was a gift to the world.
Every great percussionist will tell you there's no one better than Neil RIP😥
lmao "percussionist".
NEVER question the professor.
"IS HE THE GOAT OF DRUMMING!?
*All Rush fans nod to themselves*
I was just nodding when he was asking that question, just as I saw your comment. ha ha ha haaaaa
Of course he is.
He’s awesome but John Bohnam is the best.
I miss him!!!!!!
Laughed when I saw your comment because that's exactly what I was doing. lol!
Neil rode a motorcycle by himself, following the tour…. So he could enjoy the country and reflect. He wasn’t just the greatest drummer of our time…. He was a scholar…. An author…. Wrote just about all the Rush lyrics…. He was a deep thinker…. A special Human being. The world lost a really special one when he passed. RIP Neil
Nothing to add well said 👏
He was the hope for the peculiar guy trying (and in his case, succeeding) to make it in this world and find a way to fit in. As geniuses often appear, he always had that quirky, high-intellect demeanor. Could he really fit in? The bigger question asked was, Did he make an impact? For me, he did and still does. I still miss him as I loyally play my Rush tunes.
RIP Professor
I miss them
GREATEST DRUMMER EVER! PERIOD. Rest well Neil, we miss you.
Never heard of Buddy Rich then? He was Neil's hero
@@thegloryyears2907
Yes, heard of and listened to Buddy Rich. Neil Pert was 10 times the drummer of Mr. Rich.
"SHAKES HEAD..." You obviously don't know much about drumming then... 👍🤫
@@thegloryyears2907
Well we used buddy rich to learn drums in high-school. Neil Pert is again 10 x's the drummer buddy rich was. Your argument is so weak. And you know it's true. But please keep the charade going. Neil was a jazz enthusiast in his early life, hence the jazz portion of the video. Buddy Rich was the only known drummer of our Era. But along came Ginger Baker, John Bonham, Keith Moon ans Stewart Copeland. Neil is the GOAT!
I can send you a video of a nine year old Japanese girl that plays better then buddy rich!!!! This is free: Yoyoka plays drums to GFR were an American band
Neil late in his career went to one of the all time drum masters and completely broke down his technique so as to incorporate the jazz chops of the great Buddy Rich. This type of dedication to his craft makes him the GOAT 🐐
"Is he the GOAT of drumming?"
Why yes.... yes he is. No one else comes close. I am privileged that I got to see him live 7 times. 7 best concerts ever.
Neal is one of my favorite drummers.. of which I have at least a dozen.. but.. the goat of all drummers has to be Buddy Rich. the man's been dead 35 years and he's still better than 90% of the drummers out there
@@deanbrandl1987 Well Neil Peart has been dead 2 years and he's better than 100% of the drummers out there.
Yes.....yes, he is!
Carl Palmer
Love Neil, saw him 6 times, but sorry, nobody IMHO can touch Keith Moon. Nobody.
An interviewer asked Geddy Lee one time if they ever thought of getting a drum machine. His reply? We already have a drum machine. 🤣😂🥁
Never heard that. Geddy was 100% correct! 😃
I heard that interview. A drum machine would just get in the way and doesn't have a mind for instant flexibility especially when you have a drum machine playing already with a mind
Yes!! This guy's jaw is wide open. He's in awe. Great comment!
In another interview, Geddy said that Neil was the best all around musician that he knew. [Those are my words.]
They're all crazy versatile
I forget where I heard this, but I quote it often. If a musician wants to keep perfect timing, they will follow a metronome. If a metronome wants to keep perfect timing, it follows Neil Peart. Seen him and Rush several times, and it's always been my favorite concert. RIP Professor 😪
Neil gives not only an audio masterpiece, but also a visual show. His solos always bring a tear to my eyes and a pause to my breath. He was the GOAT. Without him, my musical enjoyment has never been the same. R.I.P., GOAT!
he never smiled looks like something plugged into the wall

I'd love to see the live drum solo from the "All The Worlds a Stage"

Come on, give the guy a break. He’s a self described “drum critic” who doesn’t know a thing about Neil Peart, of course his mouth is going to be hanging open.
You saw that too, huh? I was LMAO!! But his mouth was hanging open with good reason. First time I saw this solo, I did the exact. same. thing.

I learned to love England because of Monty Python. I learned to love Canada because of Rush. And SCTV.
😆 Well said.
Absolutely without a doubt the world's greatest drama in my eyes and so many others I've seen him play 11 times I was so blessed that I got to see him live up front and close and every single time I went he more than amazed me he is beyond professor for a reason he didn't just set the bar he made the bar and jumped over it God bless him we know he's playing in heaven can't be that good and not go somewhere great you know that soul and that music lived on forever and ever amen

12 minutes from the master. He is truly missed. RIP Neil.
He would’ve never claimed to be the GOAT.
He was as great as he was humble.
RIP Mr. Peart.
Thats how you he was the GOAT!

When asked about fame he said "I don't want to be famous, I want to be good."
@@MrMissy1964 and a total jerk with the fans!!!
In an interview he once said on playing Tom Sawyer every night that he wasn't bored playing it night after night. Any night he played it right was a good night.
GOAT: “I am the ultimate standard that can be achieved.”
Neil Peart: “Hold my beer.”
More like " hold my Macallan, please don't spill it". 😁🥃🥁
Neil did not like beer.
LOVE IT!
😂😂😂
SO TRUE!
He was more of a aged scotch drinker.
He set the standard for all other percussionist..he even achieved skill beyond just drummer to musician
All this unparalleled talent on the drums AND Peart wrote incredible lyrics as well. Unreal.
I have NEVER seen or heard drumming like this in my entire life - amazing. R.I.P. Neil Peart.
Almost forgot: Don’t feel bad about not knowing who Neil Peart was. I’m sure most Rush fans will agree: Rush has been criminally under appreciated for YEARS. It’s a low down dirty shame that these 3 exceptionally talented musicians had been overlooked by Rock N Roll Hall of Fame for so many years, despite earning 50+ gold, platinum and double platinum records over the past 47 years. They were only inducted (after releasing their last studio album) in 2013, nearly 40 years after the release of their first album.
Peart and Lee get recognition all the time and are consistently ranked as one of the best at their crafts. It's Alex who is criminally underrated.
Sad but true
@@19DrumFreak89 I hear you, but among the folks with whom I frequently socialize, none can name a single member of Rush?! Personally, I easily consider Lifeson to be one of the best guitarists I’ve ever listened to. I have several copies of “Victor” (Lifeson’s solo project from 90’s) where he just cuts loose, something not often heard with Rush? I’d encourage all Rush fans to check out both Victor and Lee’s solo album called “My Favorite Headache” from 2000. These solo albums were recorded during those tragic years when Peart suffered the loss of both his wife and daughter within 6 months. That six year break led to the release of “Vapor Trails”, one of my all-time favorite Rush albums. Despite the release of the Vapor Trails Remix, I still prefer the noisy, clipped original release. “Ceiling Unlimited” is simply sublime.
@@ToeCutter0 yes great recommendations. I was so happy when Rush finally got induced into the Hall of Fame. And the audience was like Finally! When I was in high school Moving Pictures album came out and I was hooked on Rush! The three of them have so much talent it's unbelievable. Forever a Rush fan!
100% RUSH was among the all time greats. Neil Peart was and will always be One of the best in history
Neil Peart said drumming for Rush was like running a marathon while doing math equations
not when you've played those songs for 40 years
@@PNW_Sportbike_Life He said that he would never get tired of playing Tom Sawyer because it was extremely difficult, and if he played it correctly, he said "it pleases me" to reproduce it exactly as recorded. He also said that they played their songs live without changing them with improvisations, because they were plenty difficult to play just the way they were recorded. There's a video someone made, where the audio is the actual song off the album, and the video portion is of Neal Peart playing it in concert, and they match up exactly. I think the song was YYZ, but not sure.
He did it in a 3 hours show after a day of riding with is motorcycle for hours !
@@stephanechamberland8486 With an hour warming up in the back of the stage before the show. He was a perfectionist.
Every time I would ride I would keep an eye out for Neil Peart, hoping to hit him up about motorcycle travels while pretending not to know he's famous. He didn't like people fawning all over him and found that embarrassing, but liked to talk about motorcycle touring.
@@jaycoy107 that's the whole thing behind Limelight. "I can't pretend the stranger is a long awaited friend." Peart wrote that track as a veiled explanation of his own discomfort regarding his fame
I've heard this particular solo so many times that I can hum each beat as he does it, and I even know most of the movements and pauses that he makes. He was absolutely incredible, I'm only 15 but Rush has really helped me develop as a person when my parents didn't. RIP Neil, you're greatly missed.
He is still after his death described by all drummers as a unique gifted and truly an artist. He is and will always be missed.
Your done, you've seen the pinnacle, nothing comes close to Neil Peart's solos. Where all drummers can be rated on a scale of 1-10, Neil is a 100.
Neil was good... but Billy Cobham was better... czcams.com/video/MVHdh_bBQxs/video.html
CentiMorgans (cM) refers to the length of a chromosome after Thomas Morgan. It’s measured as % so as you said we can start rating drummers on the centiNeil scale from 0 to 100.
As sophisticated and educated in normal life as he was behind his drum kit. His passing was a huge loss to music.
The world is a darker place without him.
At least he didn’t have to live through 2020. I’m being serious. 2020 was so bad. 🙄🙄Losing Neil was one of the musician industry’s biggest losses, imo. Even though it may not seem like it, Neil was a pivotal part of the music business.
And he wrote most of the lyrics.

I mean go on a CZcams video of Keith Moon or John Bonham and you will find a ton of people who will declare that each of them is "easily" the greatest. I really get annoyed in particular with the people who end their proclamations with the word "period" as if it's not up for a debate. You might be able to say that about Simone Biles or Usain Bolt in their respective sports, but about artists it's rarely that clear cut.

I was gonna suggest to this reviewer to read Peart's lyrics. KISS (sucks) toured with Rush long ago. I watched some of "The Decline of Western Civilization Part ?" where Gene Simmons made fun of Rush members because they were reading rather than getting laid and partying. obviously Rush is more technical as musicians than KISS (sucks). guys have followed them around the world for decades. with the same fans in the front rows they watched each other getting older like receding hair lines and some fans gained weight lol. seeing Rush 100 times is not out of the question.
Just saw your reaction video to Neil for the 1st time. YES HE IS WAS AND ALWAYS WILL BE THE GOAT!!!!!! HE. WILL BE MISSED!!!
Neal is the GOAT of drumming of our generation, and it took him like three or four decades to get to that point, but he was *always* learning (not just practicing). He just had a love and passion for it that cannot be learned

No doubt. Shut up and listen!
I've heard a CZcamsr can have copyright problems if they don't pause it at least once.
If you are interested in watching this solo without pause, you may do so elsewhere. This video consists a reaction to that drum solo. It is stated very clearly in the title.
You do not interrupt when you meet your god for the first time.
I’ve seen these guys live few times and Neil Pert was a perfectionist at his talent/ craft. He’s a whole different level drummer and could just trance the audience with his expertise.
Greatest 3 guy band, no fluff, plain awesome rock and roll that’s timeless.
Very few people master anything to the level Neil mastered the drums. He was also a lifelong student. Even once he was well established as one of the greatest rock drummers of all time, he still sought out lessons from teachers who he could learn different styles from. Truly dedicated to his craft. And yet he was also the bands lyricist as well as a prolific author. Fun fact he used to bicycle from city to city while on tour. This man knew how to live to the fullest. Just an incredible human being. Experience to extreme!

Neil Peart was the primary lyricist for Rush. He was an avid motorcyclist. His bus pulled a trailer for his bike. He often rode between gigs, and would only sleep in his bus at night. Very humble and mild spoken man.
And it's a shame that he lost 2 that he loved dearly, and then his untimely death. Truly missed!

That's why they called him "The Professor" He was one of a kind. No one like him!
They didn't call him the professor for his drumming skills they called him that because of his intelligence .very well read and articulate a geniuos
Geddy and Alex gave him the nickname “The Professor” due to his love of reading while on tour. His nose was constantly stuck in a book. He was quite content to sit on the tour bus and read while the other guys met with fans, his lyrics in Limelight allude to that, “I can’t pretend a stranger is a long awaited friend”.
For his drumming skills he was called, “The Master”. He grew up in the city I live in and I go to Lakeside Park a lot, it reminds me of their music and Neil’s impact.

Definitely not.
Neil would say he wasn’t, I would say he was. But more importantly he was one of the greatest people to ever live. He truly lived a complete life, after having suffered complete heartbreak.

Yes. He is the GOAT of drumming. I’m so glad you had this reaction. You just witnessed perfection. Neil Peart RIP.
Will truly miss being able to watch him perform live. Watching Neil and Rush live was something else. I used to get tingles up my whole body from the first song until the end of the final encore.
While I don’t deny his greatness in any way, Danny Carey and the Rev deserve consideration

@@nickrizzo4635 John Bonham is better than all them. But they are all great.
He had the imitable talent and pure skill to actually make a drum solo a song with a story. There will never be another Neil... RIP.
If I may, I recommend his book, Ghost Rider. He was a real, whole person. It’s possible his drumming wasn’t even the most exceptional thing about Neil Pert. We’ll be awhile seeing his kind again.
Spelled his name wrong, and probably pronounce it wrong, too.
@@TheMonsterRain quick to being a dick? How very UN Peart-like. He may have just had a typo. As YOU did, with breaking tense with the misspelling of pronounceD, and the superfluous comma. Ok, go to edit, we'll wait.
right on Kyle; GR was an excellent book and shows the depth of the man. No rock poser, he.
He wrote all the lyrics man, if you've an ounce of intellect read the man's lyrics. Lakeside park, tom Sawyer, ghost of a chance, roll the bones, new world man, the fountain of lamneth, the temples of spyrinx, tears, lessons, I could go on for days. As awesome as his drumming is, the man was well read, poetic, socially conscious, and in general a deep person with compassion for the world he lived in. That's his real legacy. He married one woman, stayed with her until her death. Was not a drunk or druggy like so many rock and roll musicians of that era. And you seriously belittle and insult him calling it "drumming" the man was a percussionist. Perfectionist. In later interviews he mentioned he hated playing tom Sawyer live for the fans because even for him it was so hard to do it right every time, and he felt he cheated his fans if it wasn't perfect every time. That gentleman is the mark of a professional percussionist that loved the craft more than his ego.
Great book!
"Ladies and gentlemen, the Professor on the drum kit." - Geddy Lee [All the World's a Stage]

DAVE WECKL
Considered TOP DRUMMER IN JAZZ, FUSION.
He has an amazing sensibility, when he plays hard and aggressive he can make jump out of your seat.
HE IS INCREDIBLE NICE WITH THE FANS. I'VE SEEN HIM TWICE.
HERE IS A LITTLE STORY, HE WAS ON TOUR AND ABOUT 2 MONTHS BEFORE I EMAILED HIM ASKING IF I BRING A DRUMHEAD HE COULD SIGN IT FOR MY DAD. DIDN'T ANSWER. CONCERT DAY HE DECIDED TO DO A DRUM CLEANIC. I STARTED TO APPROACHED HIM AND I ASKED HIM IF HE COULD SIGNED AND HE DIDN'T LET ME FINISH AND TOLD ME, "YOU ARE THE GUY WHO WANTS ME TO SIGN AND DRUMHEAD FOR YOU DAD. AFTER THE CONCERT I WILL SIGN IT AND TALKED TO YOU" CONCERT ENDED CAME OUT THE STAGE GRAB A BEER, AND HE ASKED ME,
"SO THE DRUMHEAD IS FOR YOUR DAD?" I SAID, YES!!! HE IS THE ONE THAT INTRODUCE ME IN YOUR MUSIC" AFTER THAT I ASKED HIM IF I COULD HAVE A PICTURE TAKEN WITH ME AND HE WAS SO COOL. NEXT TIME IF SEE YOU I HOPE YOU CAN SIGN IT AND A DRUMHEAD FOR ME" HE TOLD ME, "ABSOLUTELY"
ANOTHER TOUR CAME UP AND HE PLAY IN MY CITY. I GOT TO THE VENUE EARLIER AND HE SAW ME AND CAME TO ME AND TOLD ME IN A VERY COOL WAY "HOW ARE YOU DOING!!? AND HE TOLD ME AFTER THE CONCERT I'LL SEAT AND TALK TO YOU, BUT NOW LET ME TAKE YOU INSIDE THE VENUE AND WATCH THE SOUND CHECK" CONCERT ENDED AND CAME TO ME AND ASKED ME "DID YOUR DAD LIKE THE DRUMHEAD? FROM MY LITTLE BAG I PULLED A PICTURE OF MY DAD WITH THE DRUMHEAD IN ONE HAND A LITTLE SHEET OF PAPER SAYING "THANK YOU FOR THE WONDERFUL AUTOBIOGRAPH!! HE WAS STUNT.... THEN HE SAID, DO YOU HAVE THE PICTURE OF US?
I PULLED IT OUT SIGNED IT AND TOLD ME "WHATEVER YOU HAVE I'LL SIGN THEM" AT THAT POINT HE HAD PROBABLY ABOUT 7 ALBUMS"

Stop with all the "GOAT" shit...it's so childish! There's tons of incredible drummers (most you've probably never even heard of). Geezus, grow the hell up!
What I love best about Neil….
Even when he was at “the top of his game”, he was humble enough to think “I still need to get better”….AND THEN WENT AND GOT DRUMMING LESSONS!!!
And according to Neil, it helped him. If that doesn’t bust one’s ego….I DON’T KNOW WHAT WOULD!!!
Sort of similar to Ian Anderson taking flute classes after his daughter started playing the flute.
I loved his quote: I wasn't that talented....I was relentless" Speaks directly to the man. What a gift to us but such a loss as well.

NEIL IS THE GOAT. saw him twice in Cleveland. Blows your mind in person
I sat there with my mouth open the first time I seen this too, absolutely incredible
“Is he the GOAT of drumming?” . Yes
My heart broke the day he died. To know I will never be at a Rush concert ever again for the rest of my life is a feeling I can't describe. How lucky was I to grow up with this. This first album I ever bought when I was a little kid was Moving Pictures. YYZ is still my favorite song. R.I.P. Professor.
Moving Pictures was my first album too!
I missed one of their concerts when I was about 15 and I've kicked myself in the ass, over that ever since. And it was a real heart breaker when, I found out he passed away. I'm a young guy compared to most rush fans, but they are in my top 5 favorite bands of all time still.
It broke my heart too. I didn't even know he was ill. I don't think anyone did. Brain cancer is one hell of a nasty way to go. He didn't deserve it. And at my grand old age of 22, I am beyond upset I never got to see Rush/Neil live in person. They've been added to the ever growing list of bands I'll never experience.
Rock In Peace Neil Peart 🤘🥁
With you there friend, albeit i was there a bit earlier than thee. Lucky to have seen RUSH 7 times since 1981, watched Neils solos grow, they were the soundtrack to my life.
My first album purchase too. Moving Pictures on eight track. Jammed that till the tape broke.
He is in a completely different atmosphere. Rip Neil no one will ever reach legend status like you
What a great opportunity to not know who he is and then see this !!!! Love your reaction - imho best drummer ever !!!!
To answer your question…YES, he’s the GOAT, he’s your favourite drummer's drummer, he's IT!
I’m a Toronto girl, I was at the Horseshoe Tavern (way under age) when RUSH introduced their new drummer in 1974. I got to see them gig small then big filling Maple Leaf Gardens. The highlight was always Neil Peart epic solos, once started the crowd in an arena would literally hush just to drink it all in. I love Getty and Leifson but Peart is the reason such huge sound came out of a three piece band, Peart also was the lyricist.
So glad you’ve found him, RIP Neil!
Wow! I can't imagine! Great story! That is amazing! Thanx for sharing that!

Neil Peart (pronounced pEErt) was nicknamed the “professor” since he made a series of instructional videos for drummers. His career spanned from the late 1960’s to 2018. That’s roughly 50 years! During that time he spent countless hours perfecting his art, and worked with/mentored under numerous drumming greats. The solo you just saw (and his set) is the culmination of years, and years of study. Neil said he was always trying to improve, and perfect his solos. Is he the greatest drummer of all time? That’s pretty subjective. I would say that their are other solos by other artists out there that are comparable to Neil’s, but they’re different in style, feel, and sound. I’m sure if Neil were alive today he would say that his playing is a recipe inspired by generations of drummers. Personally, I think he IS the greatest drummer of his time, and will be remembered as a legend for generations to come. I’m glad you had the opportunity to be exposed to his art. Thank you for the video. Stay safe.
Small correction, Neil had been called the professor since long before those instructional videos. On the All the World's a Stage live album, Geddy even introduces Neil as the Professor when he starts his drum solo. He also retired in 2015 when they finished their last tour. You can never have too much Neil!
He also taught courses in modern poetry at the University of Toronto, I believe. I think this was in the mid 80’s or 90’s.
@@tzmcneill By all of the lyrics he wrote, definitely sounds right up his alley.
From what I've heard, Neil recognized the greats that he learned from, that he stood on the shoulders of giants. This particular solo give homage to the jazz drummers like Buddy Rich. This solo, while awesome, isn't his best work- his best work was with his bandmates Geddy and Alex, and the amazing music they produced for 40+ years.
I heard the professor was kind of an insult
Neil is the man. He was the professor for a reason. Besides being the greatest drummer of all time he wrote 99 percent of Rush's lyrics. I was always in awe watching him play with the countless amount of Rush shows I saw. We miss him but he graced the music world as not only an icon but an absolute legend
