it's a shame we'll most likely never see unicron and primus transform and start duking it out in official media
Hasbro should make a Primus figure, as bug as their Haslab Unicron or 01 studios make a Primus like their Cell Unicron figure. They should also make all 13 primes as actual deluxe, Voyager, and Leader class transforming figures while I’m at it

I’ve know a lot of genius. If your your reading this then go out and take a chance, who knows, you might just be one of them.
This is when they actually put in the effort. If you want to see real black magic look at 01 studio cell. It’s a third party figure of unicron that can transform into a perfect sphere and back into a movie accurate robot mode.

I can't lie, I was expecting better work from the transformer toy makers. This is the first time I have ever seen the Unicron toy and I'm a little disappointed tbh.

I had unicron as a kid and boy was it the hardest one to transform. Showed him off in front of my class at a show & tell in 3rd grade though which made me popular for like a whole week. Good times.

I still have my Unicron. He's in relatively pristine condition, aside from missing the chest cannon projectile, one of the leg blaster projectiles, and Dead End. I still pull him out every now and then to this day for fun. I've been trying to think of a nice place to put him for display, rather than having him in a box in my closet with the other transformers I collected in my childhood.
The funny thing is, with how much time it takes to transform a toy into its robot form it’s almost canonically the same speed for something as big as unicron to transform in the show.
And it’s kind of also true with how it transforms.
With other transformers in the show there always seems to be like things shrinking or changing shape to fit the character design which doesn’t always match the toy.
But It kind of works for planet size transformers.

Well the movie really made the job of designing a Unicron toy difficult. It's a real engineering challenge.

Love Unicron for when it was released and what it did and the detail on the figure. That being said, I think Primus had the benefit of being created after and in a lot of ways, is the superior planet transformer.

And if you have seen BW Neo, you know that the Cybertron from G1 cartoon is the same planet far in the future, which is Primus.

i remember when these came out. unicron was epic, people wanted this since the 80s. theres 2 versions i know of, they reissued it with a color swap later to match armada. always thought it wouldve been cooler with sounds, guess they learned by the time they got to cybertron. i never got around to grabbing cybertron, but i also got the death star for xmas one year. theyve been in a box for a few years, thanks for reminding me to check for leaky batteries.

I miss my Unicron. Sadly I lost bits over time and didn't really realize how unique of a toy it was until I was way older. Never knew about the Cyberton one though.
the same thing happened to me. i remember my grandad supergluing one of his head horns back on. i lost the wings and lost the weird ring thing too. grateful my parents bought me something so ridiculously huge

It all happened to us, when our parents buy any kind of toy it hardly last with us for a year or two.
Can we all agree when we were very young maybe roughly 6-10 we were rough to toys then around maybe 12-above you slowly appreciate it and become less rough
@@pat1r1ck I was pretty gently with my toys 6 and up still have my first toy and had one from before I was 5 until I finally had to empty the toy box. Most of my problem was losing them or their bits and bobs. But I agree, raising 3 boys now between 6-11 and hoooly crap am I looking forward to their toy regrets in the future.
Just imagine if in Generation 1 we got to see Cybertron transform the way Unicron did. That would be unspeakable awe. 😲

By the Way I don't think that there was actually any Cybertron Unicron toy. I am pretty sure the Unicron in the video is actually the Armada Unicron toy and this is pretty much confirmed by the fact that Dead End is a Minion. However I am pretty sure what 5 minute toys calls Dead End is actually called Kranix. This does mean that there might be a Cybertron Unicron toy that I don't know about.
@@therandomnessstrikes1435 They did release a version of Unicron in the Cybertron line, but he's a deluxe class figure with an alien tank alt mode.
@@ozzyp97 I complete forgot about the cybertron unicorn. But it is nothing compared to his armada toy. Just like he was only involved in cybertron as the cause of the black hole. All though literally every single transformers toy including Titans return Fortress Maximus aren’t as big as Haslab Unicrons size as he is now the tallest transformer toy/figure ever made by Hasbro.
@@therandomnessstrikes1435 Haslab Unicron is big, but I just can't behind the lack of engineering effort. If there's anything that could replace the Energon version on my shelf, it's the third party one from 01 Studio.
@@ozzyp97 yeah I kinda want that guy too as well. He is much better than Haslab Unicron other than him not being as big. But other than size studio 01 Cell is much better than Haslab Unicron. Every single piece on Studio cell goes somewhere in his robot mode and you don’t have any random panels anywhere. Unlike Haslab Unicron which has the entire front few panels from planet mode on his back. I would get him if he wasn't so expensive on Ebay, where he is always over 1k. Oh yeah Big Bad Toy Store also has him for 1.4k.

I had Unicron as a kid, and one of my biggest regrets from my childhood is that I didn't treat my toys better. I still have it, but most of the pieces are either broken or missing, just like a lot of my other cool toys.

Yoooo, you making me nostalgic. I use to have that exact unicorn transformer. I think I broke it, though. Kept Dead End for way longer.
When I was 5 years old my brother, who was 2 years older, and I loved both Transformers and Yu-Gi-Oh and we had this Unicron toy. Well, when we were that young, we thought that the only reason that Yugi won every duel was because we thought that he stacked his deck. One day I spent 2 hours stacking mine so perfectly that I would never lose to my brother. Right after I finished, my brother came over and kicked my deck of cards. Furious, I picked up Unicron by the arm and beat the shit out of my brother with him.
The mini transformers that are able to be combined are so sick. I love the mini transformers that were complex back in the 2000s. Seems like they dumbed them down for new generations. Kinda sad.
Legit. Those transformers came with instructions to transform them. Not like now where you simply pull them a bit and done.

I was addicted to old transformers bat in like 2004. I got the old movies and episodes from the 80s and 90s. I'll never forget: I was like 5 years old in Australia and I saw a massive Optimus Prime like 2 foot tall. With all the weapons. I begged my parents for it like 100 Australian dollars, but no way it would fit in our luggage. The one that got away.
When I lived in Guam our friends son my age had this Unicron.
