Unchained Melody (AJ, at the age of 17 performed at the Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony December 2023 in Oslo, Norway.)I watched as Angelina Jordan stepped onto the stage, her presence commanding attention. The room hushed, anticipation hanging in the air like a delicate thread. She stood there, a young girl with an old soul, ready to weave magic with her voice.
As the first notes of "Unchained Melody" filled the room, time seemed to slow. Angelina's voice wrapped around each word, infusing them with a depth that transcended mere lyrics. It was as though the song had been written for her, and her alone.

I just went and listened to Lana and agree, although it is very nice and very well sung it lacks something, something Angelina somehow at such a young age is able to give it. She gives (I think) the emotion that the song needs.
Since superlatives generally fail to describe Angie's voice, I imagine it as flowing, warm, delicious, chocolate cream, or as some say, wrapped in a warm blanket.

Angelina is my favorite singer/songwriter of my lifetime & as far as covers go, she is the best song-righter ever, making songs better than the originals. I think she was only late 12-early 13 in this &, as she says at the end, it is "Beauti-fall!"

Fun fact - if you look carefully behind AJ is a framed poster on the wall. It is from the concert I went to in London at the 02, for quincy Jones 85th birthday. She wasn't on the program, but Quincy Jones had her open the show. A big shock to everyone, including many of the famous acts that were performing. Her poster was signed by all the artists! Mark Ronson met her afterwards, stays in touch and gave her the backing tracks for many of the songs she has covered.

I just listened to Lana's version of "Young And Beautiful" and it sound rather mundane when compared Angelina's interpretation of these lyrics. Again, Angelina's cover is a masterpiece, like no one else could do.
When AJ is only accompanied by one instrument and you can even hear her take breaths, you become aware how GREAT she is. The control, the emotion, the interpretation, like no other I have ever experienced. The only instrument I want to hear is Angelina's voice.
Her voice is timeless, thumbs up.

Yes, Angelia is the perfector of song, we all thought these songs we at the top until Angelina came into the world and took them to their ultimate level. One can practice and have all the best vocal coaches in the world and never reach Angelina's vocal level at her preteen an early teen years. This level of vocal prowess can not be taught , it can only be bestowed by The Creator God Himself. Angelina is now the gold standard for vocalist and she is even getting better. You're absolutely right there. When Angelina covers a song, no other singer can come close to what Angelina can do with it. And very often she's even better than the original. By the way, you may check her rendition of Lana Del Rey's "Born to Die". You'll be gobsmacked I'm sure like most reactors did. I discovered Angelina through that song 5 years ago. I was curious about the title of the song more than the singer, then I got the shock of my life. From then on, I could not quit listening to her. I listen and watch her rendition of "Bohemian Rhapsody" every single day, even if that means watching reactions 5, 6 or 7 times and more. I've become addicted to her voice.
I haven't heard this one in a while, I used to play it daily, it is just so beautiful. I hadn't heard the original before this so checked it out, and Angelina truly makes it her own like everything she touches! Great choice and loved your reaction.
