- Loop interview on MTV 120 Minutes, UK version, presented by Paul King. Broadcast on analogue satellite. This show was broadcast from 1am UK time, for around two hours, so I would record the full show on Philips VHS HiFi VCR, then dub the sections I wanted onto Sony C9 Betamax. On this edition, loop were interviewed with promos throughout the interview, then Loop played live in the studio for 11mins. Taken from Scotch Beta tape #483

This was not too far back when MTV was a quality news source for interesting music. There was this "MTV's 120 Minutes into New Music", and a couple really good trade periodicals (Magnet Magazine, and The Wire). That's it. No CZcams. Good stuff!
But sadly MTV is now totally irrelevant to music, I don't know anyone who still watches MTV, young or old. Back in 1990, I never thought that would happen.
fucking right! He is the greatest
Young Robert so serious. 🖤🤍
Any chance you have the in-studio performance they talk about near the end of the interview?
You mean the live performance, that I have a direct link to, at the end of the video, in the top left corner? Ah, so you left without watching until the very end? 😁
Just found you already had it up. Thanks
Bit of a grumpy young man!
Was a bit of thing back then, with bands pretending to be bored and not happy. But I bet when they were asked to be on MTV they were over the moon.
@@ScottishTeeVee Spot on!
Loop were genuinely miserable fuckers. I remember reading their interviews in the music papers. Was a fan of the music, but not the arseholes that made it
