This is beautiful! I love how you added the shaded blue before the colour, I always do it the other way around knowing the blue helps when it comes to lighting, and i add too much.. But this is so beautiful, I'll be sure to do it this way next time =D

Ahhhh, been trying to draw using watercolors, but I could say that it's hard to use only watercolors! Hehehe... I've been mixing watercolor and colored pencils to get details! And hey, I drew this young talented actor too

I tried painting blue over my portrait first like you but oh boy how hard I failed.
If you try to make it lighter than what you see in the video, the feeling can be expressed differently. A new attempt seems to be born with a different picture.

Yes, after it dries, I apply another color.

Use a green or blue-based color for the dents on the face. I use the blue color in the picture because I considered the color arrangement of the complementary color relation.
