I lost my hype with all the delays, I also hate Ubisoft, so I'm worried
I am really excited for it, but it's the start of summer and people may be burnt out on COD - make no mistake, COD releasing in November is with reason.

I get it, the game was not ready yet but the timing just seems awful.
This game is made by Ubisoft San Francisco. I give it 7 business days.
How is it doomed when you compare a $70 COD game to a F2P game? The moment its out in the store people will try it. People who don't want to pay for COD will play it. People who don't want BR/Fortnite will play it. People who were dissapointed by Battlefield will play it. People who don't want to deal with SBMM will play it. I mean should I go on? 🤷♂

They didn’t make it better though. They had the game delayed for 10 months and still couldn’t fix the hit reg and net code. If you think they fixed it in the last 3 weeks your living in denial

I’ve been burnt out on cod for at least 5 years. Cod fans should be happy at least there’s another game in competition now. Competition will force activision to make a better game. It’s a win win even if it’s not that great.
COD is the better game, but this game is a good game overall. It's free as well so people who can't afford COD got options.

It isn't a competitor unfortunately 😂 gameplay is bad. Feels like the f2p game it is. Cod feels amazing, but company makes bad choices. Xdefiant devs made good choices for the game, problem is the gameplay is inferior.
I'm not interested in it. Not because I don't think it'll be good, but because I play so many different games, with COD among them, that I just don't want to add more to that list. I play 2 CODs atm (MWIII MWZ & BO4 zombies) & those CODs aren't the only games I'm playing. I'm playing FFXIV, Atelier Ryza 2, soon to be Ghost of Tsushima as well. I just wouldn't have time for xdefiant. Also having to deal with even more launchers than I already deal with atm would be a headache (I'm on PC).

The biggest Mistake Xdefiant is doing is Not releasing it on Steam to attract and spread to a wider audience.

I'm guessing the reason why this didn't happen is because Ubisoft is still not fully back to Steam and they did take the money from Epic Games as well.
Steam isn’t the end-all, be-all, of launchers. It’s not that serious.

People thinking this is going to be a sweat free game are going to be bombarded by sweats in SBMM free lobbies... I know that's more of a selling point for this game, but the sweats will migrate to XD looking to stomp people without repercussions.
There will be plenty of sweats. And plenty of variety of players. All random instead of the same shit every time you play.
It's free, so plenty of people just downloading it to try.

@@Yuuki_Asuna cod could put out the best game ever and the predatory matchmaking would still undermine the entire experience. Most people don’t just want to stomp bad players, the current experience is essentially playing ranked 24/7 but with none of the competitive balances removed.
The thing is, back when i was younger, i could keep up just fine. I could play 24/7 and not think much about it. Now, working a 9 to 5, I'd dare say I'm above avg cause even if i go long ass time without playing, i still remember tech or reload cancel/slide cancel and all that but not to the extent that some players have nowadays that most wanna be streamers or play more often than my self and they polish themselves to a more higher lvl just cause of time sinked. So yeah, after a long day of work, I'm getting to play a couple of matches where not every single one feels like some mlg tournament cause the first match of the day went 30-10 or 20-2 and the game decides im just "too good".
No hype does not mean it is not being looked forward to. Everyone's just being patient. When it comes out, it'll probably have a high player counter.
nah a game with no hype is NOT a good sign for the future of the game,at launch is usually when most people want to play a new experience so this little interest is really telling imo

for the weapon levels, if i remember correctly the mastery cammos are tied to weapon levels and i believe gold was like lvl 200 on each weapon
I feel the fact that it's free allows for hype to remain. Why not play it? Literally have nothing to lose.

If the previous betas are anything to go by, youll get bronze camo at weapon lv50, silver camo at lv150 and gold at 300. Might be different in full game though.

Extant came out today on PS five but I still can’t select practice so I can actually play the game. It won’t let me move the joystick. And it’s not a controller problem. My controller works fine on everything else.

I intended to play it at launch - but Microsoft got me with a nice WoW event starting next week.
I’m honestly, extremely excited to try it! Of course I forgot about it and thought it got scrapped! But then I seen it was on the store as “announced” so I’ve been waiting! Just recently got the notification that it was now available! I have no quarrels with F2P games,and that comment about “to much death” with comparisons to cod is wild!
I can speak for myself on this topic, I'm not hyped for xdefiant and I'm skeptical of gulf war but I'm hyped either way they turn out good or bad for your videos on them. That's why I voted not hyped, yet still watched your videos on xdefiant, it's like a comfort thing to watch cod / cod related stuff from you
it must be said that xdefiant was more meant to be a spite game, meant to attract players who just couldn't handle cod anymore, but now that the current cod is at least half decent, it's gonna get less attention. best case scenario for them is if treyarch screws up their game
I'm looking forward to it, despite the delays, it's still going to be a new game to get stuck into. The lack of sbmm is going to hopefully be a breath of fresh air and I do hope I'll be able to play more than three games before wanting to turn it off 😅

I'm hyped for XDefiant but with a big asterisk... On one hand, how bad can this game be compared to CoD; no way they can make it even worse, right? On the other hand, it's F2P and with promised lack of SBMM, so that sounds pretty good...
The xdefiant i played a month ago was the same xdefiant i played last year. I'm still disappointed in the net code with nothing seemingly changed in all this time.

I feel that the real issue is there are too many FPShooters. They do not feel different in many aspects and they're almost all live-service.
The combination of waiting too long and having the most recent access to the game being a mess has ruined any hype they had left. Honestly the game just hasn't been as fun as it feels like it should be and so doesn't fill the hole COD has left for a good FPS game

No EOMM/SBMM, can turn crossplay on/off, and the option to matchmake based on INPUT TYPE! Basically the 3 things I would beg Activision to give us PC Mouse & Keyboard players. Nero, maybe your next poll(s) should be centric around PC players that use M&K to test the waters a bit more. The Aim Assist addiction in CoD is so strong they should just call it the "GIT GUD" syndrome......meaning if XDefiant isn't aiming for them then game must be trash right?
Really enjoy your channel and I love the opening and closing music!!! Life long COD player buy game every other year. I watch your xdefiant updates because I'm curious about any game similar to COD. A year ago I would have signed up for Xdef but the fall window closed and out came MW3which I bought and luv playing so I likely will not play xdef. SBMM does not bother me one bit. I have always had to "sweat" every match. SBMM lets me take #1 spot on occasion so no complaints here. Anyway, thanks for great content!

I will wait and see what your feedback is when the game launches. The last playtest got lots of bad feedback and they decided to release the game probably in the current bad state
I had a better experience during the playtests of this game than I've had in CoD in like a decade. So yeah I'm still excited enough to hop on when the game finally releases.
I'm looking forward to playing the game for sure but I do feel part of the excitement and hype was because of how they addressed the MWII issues that MWIII also addressed.
maybe ive over estimated but im expecting a proper progression system with prestige. lots of Camos. loads of new guns and maps and even modes. I do feel like it is launching in early access still and that just feels underwhelming. And those servers in the last test where awful have they really fixed them in a month?

I think the launch will be very successful but the true challenge is when Black ops six is released. Assuming that black ops six is received very well since it’s been in the development for four years. I can see this game taking a hit with the player base, especially if the seasons do not deliver with enough content and modes

I’m beyond hyped for this game, good devs behind a f2p shooter. Normal prestige system, no skill based matchmaking. I don’t expect this game to be perfect and none of us should, this is season 0 for a reason.
I feel like it will do decent at launch and trail off but, future seasonal content will make or break this game

Im serious about this. We need a resurgence style mode in these new FPS games. It will fail without. No matter how you put it.
Some might disagree but i honestly think the game should have some sort of Streaks in the game even if it was only the casual modes, leave it out of ranked modes of course.

I'm kinda excited for XD, but a bit worried about the matchmaking.
I generally don't have a problem with COD matchmaking. I'm not a great player by any means, but I find probably 80% of my matches are fun to play, hard enough that I have to try, but not so hard that it's a sweatfest grind. There are some rounds make me feel like God, some rounds slap me back to reality.
I think to be fun in the long term there has to be some level of SBMM. COD doesn't always get it right, you've gotta have balance, if the skill gap is too big, whether you're way better, or way worse than your opponents, no one really improves in that situation. Just as if you have the same exact skill, you'll never learn anything, and never improve either.
I'm on the fence I kinda just canceled out my excitement for it but I'm waiting until it's released have it preloaded so we will see
I've been playing more in 2042 than COD. I'm done with COD unless my wife wants to play with her friends there. Then, I may hop in the game because I know their lobbies will be more relaxed than I would typically get. I'm getting too old to be stressing about a game every match, and I don't care to sweat for a game like I did when I was younger. This XDefiant may get me back into the FPS gaming, but we will see.
Let me say it this way. Since Xdefiant server test I haven't touch call of duty. And when I heard about launch date I have uninstalled cod entirely.

i am with that guy that was venting his frustrations. I am NOT Hyped for BO6 and future cods. XDefiant is what I see as my arena shooter savior. especially since no SBMM/ EOMM with all of that hidden MMR Algorithm BS manipulating every match. At least Lobbies were Genuine.

ubisoft lost the window of time with all the delays and when the last beta went up it didnt have that feel anymore so nope not running to download it, sure i will day 1 but i just get to it not looking forward as much anymore. whats going to happen is it will get the players at start till everybody feels it out longer then a weekend and then watch off to the side with the finals.
No SBMM might still bring me in, but wow did they let the hype die, baffling.

People where hyping up combat master, a literal mobile game, just because it had movement. Take a look at Splitgate, halo was in a bad state, so everyone went and played Splitgate. But then halo infinite dropped and the game died. How could I take this game seriously, when Black Ops 6 is right around the corner?
