- In this video I have explained about different types of jaundice, that is pre-hepatic jaundice, hepatic jaundice and post hepatic jaundice. Various points to differentiate between these three types of jaundice were explained. The enzyme changes, type of bilirubin elevated and the changes in the color of stool and urine is also explained. With the help of this video you should be able to differentiate at-least biochemically three different types of jaundice.

In viral hepatitis
Congugated or uncongugated bilirubinis high or both
Sir what happens in Rh incompatibility? If the liver is not able to conjugate properly how stercobilin is increased and urine bilirubin is decreased?
Would missing the last two injections of Hepatitis b vaccine cause damage. I only had the first injection. I am yellowish by the way .
3:25 ... Sir, it isn't stercobilin thats the reason of brown colour of stool?
🙌🙌🙌
can decreased urobilinogen occur in hepatic jaundice?
I dont think so
One doubt.Unconjugated bilirubin is water INSOLUBLE..If so then how is it getting excreted in kidney?
Unconjugated bilirubin is insoluble and is NOT excreted in the urine. It is the conjugated bilirubin when exceeds more than 20% of total in blood is found in the urine.
thanks sir
is there any kind of jaundice that can't be healed but it doesn't makes any effects on body
Yes like in Gilbert syndrome.
Sir one doubt
Conjugated bilirubin in intestine gets unconjugated to form urobilinogen, out of this 20% goes enterohepatic circulation, some of it is excreted ....but since it is unconjugated (urobilinogen) how can it be excreted in kidney?
Nice explanation...sir but one doubt,How conjugated bilurubin came in to urine in hepatic jaundice case...Actually urobilinogen is entering to entro hepatic circulation...then from where CB comes?
It is due to leakage from the inflamed hepatocytes.
they moved awey in cinocodes of hepatocytes
Sir difference between bilinogen and bilin?
hari gan billinogen converts into billin after oxidation...
how about stercobilin?
it is the urobilin form seen in the feces.
beta glucuronoid enzyme ? 2:53
