Man, I was looking for exactly this. I have a very concerning problem lately…first, I am a musician/composer myself, it’s my actual “job” (music for various companies) went to U of Michigan music school, so I’m 100% music. It’s all I have ever been good at (I don’t even really have much on CZcams to showcase, it’s all old crap)..I used to wake up every single day with a euphoric creative feeling, like, no matter what my day had in store, I just could NOT wait until I could get home and fire up the music studio, keyboard, etc. and start composing and creating.. ..now the bad part…. For the entire last year or so, I haven’t been able to muster up enough of anything to even care. I don’t remember what it felt like to feel that creative euphoric happiness, it’s been so long. I just turned 51 and there are so many things I worry about now.. being too old, wondering if I will ever be able to have that love for music again, those butterflies knowing that I had the ability to do things that lots of people can’t do, and I would have a feeling of gratification when I would compose music for OTHERS, it’s so hard to explain. All I know is…it’s gotten me into such a terrible depression, I don’t even know what to do anymore. I had so many ideas for channels, one of them being a special kind of meditation music channel but with actual purpose for each video, and the actual REAL frequencies in the music, unlike almost 85% of the meditation music channels on YT that just throw up a claim of “528hz” for instance, yet the entire 10 hour loop of 3 random major triads that don’t even follow any basic voice leading principles, is 1,000,000 light years away from the nearest 528hz tone. They just throw up a title which ends up being false advertising. I take this music thing seriously and it just angers me that there are people that don’t care that they duped other human beings just for some extra plays. I want music to be able to change lives, evoke emotion, in everyone…and it’s a disservice when I see so many channels just claiming “DMT Music! Opens your 3rd eye! Travel to Pluto and hang out with the royal princess of the galactic federation! Heal your broken leg! Manifest a million $$$!” And then the “music” is just someone holding down a triad for 8 hours using an Omnisphere pad.. Ok I went off the rails a bit… Nothing sounds good to me anymore…. (OooHH you just used a nice minor 9th tight in this spot) Joe T, if you have any advice, please, before I just say “screw it, im just going to take a triple hero dose of 🍄 and go hang out on Pluto myself”😂. I don’t know where it all went wrong, or why, I mean, I have some ideas, but not things I want to talk about here in this comment section…. Sorry this is so long.. im sure no one will even see it anyway because im sure CZcams probably has 1 of my words out of this entire comment on their shadow ban macro list, and then this was all just for the exercise of me talking to myself. Anyway, for everyone else here if anyone made it this far…Joe T is 100% the REAL DEAL..with his guided meditations and music he creates. This is a channel you can always trust COMPLETELY…
John, I completely relate to your feelings about music composition. Music has been my passion since my teens, and recently it feels like I've reached a point where a break seems necessary. Besides creating for this channel, I'm also into ambient, film scores, and beats. Past experiences have shown me that taking a break can reignite my passion and even enhance my skills (It's almost like my brain consolidates everything I've been learning) So, I'm planning to step back from music (except for this channel) to explore other creative outlets. Your kind words mean a lot, especially since not many know that I'm behind most of the music here. I hope this meditation helps you find that motivation and creative spark. As an incredibly creative person, I was going to skip it but you know what… somehow your meditations ALWAYS produce results so who DOESN’T need a boost of creativity? I’m excited what this will produce.
Bro….the material you write for these guided meditations are…..well…. genius…truly. These aren’t just guided meditations.. they are perfectly crafted journeys into the soul. The way you create the journey, the way you put it all together, and the pace at which you do it all….and that applies to every single last one of your videos that you have created… I just have to say it… you have the BEST guided meditations on this entire platform… I have this one on a loop now because it’s exactly what I need to try and see if I can salvage anything left inside of me. This is something that can literally decide my potential future, and I wouldn’t trust anyone else but Joe T to help me achieve that goal.
