My grandparents raised me. Sadly, I've lost them both.
My ma was my best friend, my hero and life force. She was a tiny southern Cherokee spitfire. 😍
Her birthday was July 8th, she passed two years ago the end of June. Just shy of her 95th birthday.
I was having a really rough week. Many things happening in my life. I was laying on my couch watching videos and her comes meme.

Meme, I just wanted to tell you my daughter and I made this for supper last night. Well, I've gotta tell you, your recipes are four for four at our house! We absolutely loved it! As I said, we've made four of your recipes so far and have loved them all. Our cooking styles are so much alike that I don't believe that we'll go wrong using any of your recipes lol. When I was a kid, you could buy a whole chicken in a can. This was a full chicken in the broth and we used those up, let me tell you! By the way, kudos to your sister on that casserole dish from the thrift store. I love to shop garage sales and thrift stores first and I have all of my Pyrex collection from them!
You can still buy it! Sweet Sue Whole Chicken in a Can.

When I was first married, I brought a canned whole chicken with us on our boat when we sailed to Mexico. We ended up trading a fisherman that can of chicken for a couple of lobsters since they were tired of eating seafood… the lobster was delicious, hope he liked the chicken…

This was wonderful!! Next time I will combine everything (except the topping) rather than layer. The noodles were a little dry. I topped with potato chips because that's what I had. Everyone loved this!!

This reminds me of my mom’s first dinner party with my dad’s boss during WWII. My mom was just married. She put the noodles in the casserole dish and put grated cheese on top. She just didn’t cook the noodles first. Crunchy! 😂😂😂

This looks delicious and I have to cook this. All the ingredients my family loves
I made this recipe the way it is shown here then tried it my way. I did not layer it. I cooked the noodles then partially drained them leaving enough water in them to dissolve my chicken bullion powder for the chicken broth and mixed all but the cracker toppings in the same pot I boiled the noodles in and mixed it and then put it in the 9x13 inch pan. After that I put the cracker topping on my casserole. It turned out better this way.

I make a chicken casserole similar to this. Instead of noodles I put broccoli on the bottom, then shredded chicken, thinly sliced celery , bell pepper and chopped onions. I mix 1 can cream of mushroom and I can cream of chicken mushroom with a little milk. Spread over top, then cover with cheddar jack cheese. It’s delicious!!!

Yes you can, but sometimes the noodles get a little soggy.

Steamed veggies are always good. Leave natural flavors alone. Salt and butter. Maybe a dash of pepper, splash of soy, and lemon for some. Done.

The one I usually buy is 16oz... The companies are always changing! Either is fine.
You should not use pre shredded cheese as an ingredient is added to stop clumping which restricts good melting
I use both! Depends on the recipe.
Cellulose is what is used to prevent pre-shredded cheese from clumping. It typically does somewhat retard the melting process but not enough to prohibit its use, especially at high (cooking) temperatures.
I would have put all the cheese, chicken, onions, celery and cream chicken Ina bowl then mix. Then put in the noodles.
I would make homemade utterly croutons
