This bar will create a rattle from hell, as you cannot torque those two brace bolts down tight enough to cowl brace with any torque. That cowl bar is hollow sheet metal and will collapse in on its on the backside, it will rattle over every bump and eventually make you hate your car and drive you mad. I advise buying a Speedlogix 4 point strut tower brace instead, as it comes with built in cowl brace, it’s welded and will make zero noise, just a heads up, replaced mine yesterday, rattle free now, and a lot more rigid

I recently installed a front strut tower brace bar to my Camry 2002 2AZ-FE and noticed better handling and reduced backslash on the steering wheel. Since I installed the front strut tower brace when the brace bar and engine are both cold, I wonder if the brace bar will expand after heating up during driving and hence will reduce the negative camber angle at the front wheel.
So may I suggest one more round of iteration to re-install the front strut tower brace bar when everything is warmed up to a steady state, say, 20 to 30 minutes, of driving ?
The re-installation steps are as easy as loosening the nuts immediately after driving 30 minutes and also immediately tightening them back to torque spec again.

Any testable proof that it helps anything with performance numbers? I doubt it.

I bought a front and rear brace around when I first got my car, and it makes a noticeable difference.
The chassis stiffens up a bit, but not really anywhere close to stiffening the subframe. It's more that the suspension will sag less when you say, hit a pothole, and turns will feel planted at higher speeds, you can go into corners more comfortably, maybe 10-15mph higher than you used to take them.
Unless you are chirping tires and turning in hard regularly, the strut brace won't do much. It is a heavy car and many people think the braces help eliminate body roll, even if they don't. Like I said before, to most, its a noticeable difference.
Most people only think about "performance numbers" for verbal bragging rights. For those people, sure, suspension upgrades don't do anything; you can doubt away. If you want your car to be more responsive and stiffer, here is one quick and easy option. If you are chasing "performance" why do you own a two ton square with a V8?
If you only want to go fast in a straight line, buy new tires, brakes, and a supercharger.

@@drewjozz I togue battle my challenger in the twisties and do time attack so definitely any improvenent to chassis stiffness is needed for hard cornering

Is there a need to rust proof the holes in the firewall after drilling into it?
