Love this...and how they had two lead vocalists and both their falsettos are off the charts in this song and in Natural High. Most under-rated soul band ever.
We first have to get a generation of Youngsters that understand the English Language then maybe we could get them to design and properly enunciate lyrics that are discernable and NOT 🚫🚭 derogatory.
I did also. We went to see them at McCormick place in Chicago, We had a blast, felt like the roof was coming down. Had a great time. I missed those days 🙂😀
the big man is outstanding .......... the group ...amazing ......... this song and bloodstone ....... they are FOREVER !....thanks for the upload .. january 8 2023 ....
Bloodstone what an amazing group with big hairy Williams on lead vocals the boy has some pipes that can reach heaven Bloodstone my favorite group Kansas City Boys
Beautiful these guys didn’t get the credit they deserved in the music industry. But they did in our communities because I love Natural High so much I played it until the record was too scratched up to play
You to was one of them. My Husband use to say ohhhhhh my goodness here you go again you will buy me another record since this one is mess up you can now have it
I kid you not, this group has got to be. The best group I’ve ever heard live on stage and man what a sound and groove and absolute musical talent and perfection .🎶👌🎶
I was 10 years old in 1973 when 1580 KDAY in Los Angeles would play it and I would almost break my neck running to the radio to listen. I can still remember how it made me feel
Harry just tore that ish up. Charles could rip it too. These guys and the lead for Enchantment (Emanuel "E.J." Johnson) are some seriously underrated singers.
I was seven years old when this record came out but I only heard it for the first time just a few weeks ago. I grew up in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, so all I heard on the radio was Philly soul! 😄 The local deejays in Philadelphia weren't going to bother with the Kansas City sound. Pity - Harry Williams is one of those incredible singers who can use his voice as an instrument. This song is pure joy.
The brutha can sing!!!!!!! I recently bought this album. I first heard it when it came out in 1973. It my last year of high school. And out of all the great songs, back stabbers, if you don’t know me by now, etc., this is THE song that stuck with me all of these years. Why was that? The performance of a little known group. Bloodstone. Thank you Bloodstone for getting me through the decades. It damn sure went quick!
*HARRY WILLIAMS... PERIOD. END OF STORY. GOAT SINGER!!! Rest in eternal peace to my one true love, the love of my entire lifetime, my twin soul and husband-in-Spirit Mark Bailey (4/26/1973 - 7/1/2003)... Death may have separated us physically but that's about IT. We're closer now than we've ever been ❤❤🔥🌹💯*
love this group never let you go is me and my man song i lost him 3]8]21 i play this song all the time for him in heaven thank you for you for your music
These fellas even more powerfully charged in concert. The big guy could straight up blow in the high tenor to envy that of most 70’s soul lead singers. I recall thinking to myself, “Jeez, he’s pulling a Delfonics on this one”.
Being in quarantine let you catch up on all the oldies and the blood Stones was one of the best group around. Here it is October 17th 2020. Everyone please stay safe and please wear those masks!
Anybody stil listening in August 2022? I'm so thankful to have made it to this side of the pandemic. My go to group when I just want to hear some good down home singing. One of the best groups of the 70s period 👌
I saw them in 1973. They were the opening act for the Chi-lites. Boodstone was so good and they blew me away. The audience was going crazy. I felt kind of sorry for the Chi-lites. They were fine looking and smooth, sounded good but it looked like they should have been the opening act.
These dude were so badd and talented... I saw them many times in the 70s at the "Total Experience Club" on Crenshaw Blvd in LA back in the day and "The Whisky a Go Go" on Sunset Blvd... they remain one of my favorite RnB groups EVER!!!
This is a truly beautiful song. The lyrics, the music, and the true heartfelt way in which it sung, is just awesome. This performance is very reserved in comparison to the album version. Definitely listen to the album track in order to hear exactly what Bloodstone was capable of as a group. We need music like this again.
Bloodstone one of the baddest groups of all the time🔥🔥🔥I seen them perform Monterey Fairgrounds when I was 16 I wore my first and only Afro my hair was so long loved it bad concert.
My boyfriend dedicated this song to me in 1979. Here we are still growing old together.
That’s simply beautiful! Congratulations on a lifetime of love and joy! ❤️ ❤️
44 years ago , I married the love of my life
Lovely❤!!!
Oh that's really nice ! Your a lucky lady
That's a beautiful and precious thing. I pray for many more years to come 💗🙏🏾
Love this...and how they had two lead vocalists and both their falsettos are off the charts in this song and in Natural High. Most under-rated soul band ever.
Indeed Big Harry and Charles Mccormick, there's a vid in this same session of Carles singing Natural High
Awesome Group!❤
This group is soooooo underrated
You are so right ✅
very. even that’s an understatement.
One of the best group's of our time there music is 1st class🤔
I was about to type the exact same thing
No they're not WE know.I still cry to this after 40 years
A very underrated group but there's nothing like 👍 old school 🏫 still listening in 2024❤🎉🎉🎉
They're not underrated. That stupid comment being put out there all the time is overrated!
Harry Williams is the real deal..I used to be their sound engineer and he still gives me goose bumps
You were blessed
Me too.....TEARS !!
I love This Group ❤❤❤ They deserve A Standing ovation !!
Bloodstone singing this song live, is definitely a gem. 💎 Thanks.🙏🏽💋
I saw them in their latter years, they were Sensation!❤❤
Finally. A live performance of this song from Bloodstone.
I feel you I seen them in person but never seen them on CZcams or anywhere on the internet!
❤❤❤❤
I saw Bloodstone here in Sacramento way back in the 80's ..the good ole days...good memories ❤
Mexican guy here, had the album, 8track, cassette, cd. Now back to album... Incredible group, so much great music back then.
Ain't no autotune there!!! Man can blow!!!
yes he can
His name is: Harry Willams
Sure wasn't no autotune I seen these brothers about 40t years ago they jammed real music love love love your comment. The music nowadays is trash.
Dude's got extraordinary vocal chords. Today's youngsters don't know this kind of music but if you play this in their presence, they'll take notice.
His name is: Harry Willams
Facts
Lol more like other worldly vocals from a different galaxy
We first have to get a generation of Youngsters that understand the English Language then maybe we could get them to design and properly enunciate lyrics that are discernable and NOT 🚫🚭 derogatory.
I just saw him in concert and My Mind was blown!!! He Still Sounds The Same!!! Even though he’s in a wheelchair he put on one damn good performance
See, that's what you call blowin. I had the pleasure of seeing these brothers perform live about 40 years ago. They killed it.
I was just about to say the exact same thing!!!! I just wish I could give more the one thumbs up
So did I in Dayton OH and as you said; they killed it!
I know you will never forget it. I know they did
I seen them too at the Monterey fairgrounds they blew and they can still sing they are special Very special🔥🔥🔥
I did also. We went to see them at McCormick place in Chicago, We had a blast, felt like the roof was coming down. Had a great time. I missed those days 🙂😀
This will always remind me of my late husband. He loved Bloodstone because they said things he wanted to.
the big man is outstanding .......... the group ...amazing ......... this song and bloodstone ....... they are FOREVER !....thanks for the upload .. january 8 2023 ....

Beautiful these guys didn’t get the credit they deserved in the music industry. But they did in our communities because I love Natural High so much I played it until the record was too scratched up to play

Right on!!!
Dam Harry murdered it!!💯💯💯
I was 10 years old in 1973 when 1580 KDAY in Los Angeles would play it and I would almost break my neck running to the radio to listen. I can still remember how it made me feel
Take me back,1580 KDAY-thanks for that mention-I was 12.
1580 KDAY and Kute 102 in the 70’s where the jams were played😎
and KGFJ got that 45 when I was 10!! Still have it!!
I used to listen to 1580 KDAY Los Angeles and here JJ Johnson played Bloodstone in 1973
Truth. The music has always moved me too, and I was 17 in ‘73 when I first heard it. I thought, what the F was that?!
Harry just tore that ish up. Charles could rip it too. These guys and the lead for Enchantment (Emanuel "E.J." Johnson) are some seriously underrated singers.
EJ IS DEFINITELY UNDERRATED! HE CAN SING IN A HIGH NOTE LIKE NO ONE'S BUSINESS! 💯

I was seven years old when this record came out but I only heard it for the first time just a few weeks ago.
