It was delicious, too.
Great work Dustin. And thanks for the opportunity to join your group. PS: I have been using Yn flash and their triggers etc. Great value items at low price point. Cheers mate.

I have never signed up for an email list that fast in my life 😂 love your stuff!
You are too kind Brandon, thanks man!
workphlo Thank you! I am still trying to copy your set up but I keep procrastinating on it for some reason. May I ask you what tether cable you use? (I have a Sony A7R2)
@@TaylorMadeMoment Right on I hear ya. I use a massive 15ft cord I got off Amazon years ago but I no longer have a usable link. I think I will bite the bullet and buy a good tether tools one soon though! Mine slips often.
I actually made a custom weld circular like your final one, but I put a sleeve instead of a nut... and now that I see yours, I am totally gonna put a nut on mine. Thanks.
It is a life saver!
brb learning how to weld
@@workphlo I know right? I made mine for Stainless Steel pots and pans. I have footage, and come to think of it, I really should made a video out of that!
@@joepolophotography Don't burn your hands. I learnt that the hardest way possible! 🤣
best lighting tutorials on CZcams!
Strong endorsement, cheers
@@workphlo just FYI, I was formally trained in photography at University, and have nearly 20 years of knowledge as a professional working photographer, so I guess I can pick the good from bad when it comes to photographic reviews and education on youtube. And there is ALOT of rubbish out there!!
Thankyou very much for your content! I recommend it weekly to intermediates looking to expand their knowledge.
Its refreshing to see tutorials such as yours online, which are clear, concise and accurate.
Look forward to future videos
Hi! I would love to see the tutorial of the edits for this. Thank you!
your video proves that it is the man who creates, the camera just records.
I love that, thanks Salim.

@@workphlo Hi!! thanks for the Reply! I have, I just checked it, it was on the spamm, thats why I did not find it! Thank you so much, you are the best!
Excellent video...
Hey David thanks !
We Really Missed you here!
Look out for more!
Justin, what happened with that great hair ? it certainly made you stand out, specially you being all pragmatic didactic, bit like Mr White's chemistry class. How much I have learned from you is mind blowing. I am old school Large format ( 8 X 10 - 4 X 5 ) almost exclusively. Then the digital thing came (I still don't know how to properly use Lrc) same a bit for Capture One Pro. I just don't have the time, and haven't found an inspiring tutor.. (Interested ?) the mind blowing thing you gave me was COMPOSITING .... thank you for introducing me to this, in such a : easy Go easy Phlo manner ! Your Videos don't take any time at all to master .. Almost. Yes Justin, I would love to have the link to the work you do on that bottle.
With all my best and kindest regards. Maybe the Hair could be a summer thing right ?

Would love to see the editing for this. I'm fairly new to photography and still unsure of which "field" I want to lean towards but I do quite like the processes of product photography.
Absolutely, just make sure to sign up for the e-mail from our link in the description, as we need consent. Thanks!
I think you have deep knowledge about photography lighting. Pls upload fashion or portrait photography releted lighting. Also food. Thanks in advance.
That would be fun.. thanks
I'd like to request the 4-minute video on processing this wine bottle image. I'm subscribed now and looking forward to going through your other great videos. Thanks!
Link in description!
been using your techniques and it is really helping with small product (cosmetic packaging) photography. Keep up the good work. I got a "clicker" to remotely fire my camera. It works on my Nikon D750 but for some reason Nikon does not offer the infrared connection on the D850. So I have to reach over to the computer and press the shutter button there which is a pain when I am trying to hand hold a reflector (or flag).
I hear you, I use the Cmd+K to fire exposures at times, but you're right the delay 2s is so useful with the remote for holding stuff. Best!
I've sometimes used the computers wireless mouse as a "clicker". I just position it over the shutter button on the computer and then pick up the mouse. Perhaps not the best solution but a simple one.
I'd love to see your editing of this shot. Thanks!!
Thanks George! Please do sign up in the pinned commented for free :)
@@workphlo The link doesn't work.
Thanks for this! I'm trying desperately to master wine photography... And, btw, wine is Croatian.
Yes I see this now, thank you Luka! :)
This is a very nice Video, would you send me the link to see the post-production video? Thank you so much
Yes! Just go to the link in the description it will send to you automatically
Croatian wine, great choice
It was a great choice, other than referring to it as a Serbian Red 5 seconds into the video, no regrets.
Any chance you could make a video on using continues lighting for photography? I don't have speed lights because I normally do video but I need to take photos of my products to sell too and don't want to have to buy speed lights if I don't need to.
Yes! We have made a video here it is: czcams.com/video/rfGtG7AaLY8/video.html
More coming :)
Could you use a 24x24 softbox and feather it towards the camera and away from the bottle. I dont have a strip box. 😪
Absolutely!
On the medium table, why did you choose a white plexi plate instead of a black? The black would help avoid the milky reflection of the table in the bottle and give a higher contrast reflection of the bottle
Great point you're right. I just quickly used that as an example normally I elect to use black. Thanks for watching our product photography
i appreciate the cup upside down tip
This is my go-to video - it's concise yet comprehensive. I would like to see the post-editing video. I sent an email yet I have not received your link. Please advise. Thank you!
I'll check it out!
Great one John ! next step a transparent bottle ! ;-)
John!? :)
workphlo 😱 sorry Dustin ! 😅 thanks for your high quality contain as always
Hi ... Please make more videos. Thanks 😊
Just uploaded a new one for you!
@@workphlo thank you so much ... Seen it ... Loved it and liked it 👍
could you tell me where or how you got that little table to mount on to a light stand? what parts do I need?

thx
Thank you!
Cool
Thanks
I really do like the content and thank you for the tips which are appreciated. But even though you did say this was a Serbian Red, when you zoomed on to the label it clearly said "Vins de Croatia". I am quite certain that Pelješac just as the manufacturer would not mind being put into the right country as Croatian wines do share the temper with it's indigenous people. :P
Setting up to do a photo shoot for some wines today for a customer. Just curious to know what aperture you prefer for shots like this?
I like f/16 just to make sure I have a nice sharp bottle personally. Best of luck!
@@workphlo Thanks! Much appreciated. I bought your 10 x 6 table/attachment, black acrylic and the bottle support a while ago so I'm looking forward to putting it all to use today!
Could I shoot these with a softbox instead of a stripbox ? Any tips ?
Yes! You can cover a rectangular softbox with fabric or black paper to create a strip light window. Or just use the larger softbox and see how it looks!
My apologies Justin VS Dustin aaghh !😊
Yupp - angle of relection comes into play there. Bottom of the bottle is bound to reflect the table, since it's curved inwards, towards the table. Actually, you get a reflection of the table even if the bottle is cylindrical all the way. Small table is the solution and getting the stripbox nice and snug up against the bottle makes a world of difference. A sharp reflection of the stripbox tells the bottle is glossy. Not matte.
Another solution of cutting off the table reflection is to shoot the bootle from slightly below. But you can't have a 35 mm lens on if so. Well, you can, but you have to consider the perspective with skewed lines ... Short tele is the better option.
Thanks for the wisdom I appreciate it.
What camera settings do u use?
I use f/16 on bottle normally!
Thanks great job
Hi, do not know if someone has corrected you but please, I encourage you to change your audio or to put a note on the video that you have made a mistake. The bottle and the wine is pure Croatian from the region of Pelješac peninsula of Croatia. Thank you, Dejan Hren, Croatia. Other then that, great work and really great explanations in your videos.
Thank you, I will!
what about the neck, its missing the light line
The neck or the wrap? The neck features a highlight, it is broken - but that is what I like (I think it looks unatrual when you forced a full highlight on a shouldered bottle) Cheers
not so safe to leave emails in the public chat Perhaps a link to a sign up page
always great info Thanks for sharing
The link is in the description
Where i can get that table?
I custom welded it, but searching for a baby wall plate will give a similar option.
@@workphlo I found it, thank you.
This wine is not Serbian. It's Croatian. Big difference. It's even written on a bottle you are looking at the whole time.
I hear this a lot, and would like to formally apologize the the Republic of Croatia. Cheers Ivan! 🍷
Fantastic tutorial and also - a great hero - a renown CROATIAN wine from the Pelješac peninsula in the Adriatic sea. ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with Serbia. Just sayin'.
I now know this, simple mistake. So Sorry!
📸
Cheers Ace.
Serbian red?! It is written on the bottle that it is from Croatia, as far as I know these are two different countries.
Whoopsie of the year for sure
Is there a better place to leave my email instead of in the comments?
Yes there is a link!
Hey. Are you from Croatia? Wine is- that's why
I am from CANADA!
Great video. But it is not Serbian wine, it is Croatian.
I paid the price for that mistake ;)
Frm technical point of view evrything is perfect. But why you talk about "serbian red" when this wine is labeled as CROATIAN wine?
I did a bad
It is not Serbian red wine, it is Croatian red wine from Pelješac
Yes 🍷 I see this now
*affects
10 POINTS TO GRYFFINDOR
Pelješac is in Croatia, not Serbia. ;)
Thank-you, I would like to apologize to the Republic of Croatia.
Croatian red wine....
Oops
It's not Serbian wine. It's Croatian wine.
Now I see
I've had to photograph hundreds of bottles - i wish i had seen this before. Use gloves, my friends.
Gloves are very worth it sometimes. Thanks!
Sorry man..it's a croatian not serbian wine..its even written on the top of the label... XD
So true...
It's Croatian (Dalmatian) wine not Serbian.
Yes it was truly a mistake
This serbian red is actualy croatian red 🤷🏼♀️
Yes you are right
Dude, the wine is Croatian. It's right there on the label. Nice tips though.
It was quite the blunder, Cheers Robert 🍷
Sorry but, this is Croatian wine👍
You are correct! My mistake
@@workphlo i hope you like Croatian Wine!Enjoy!
It would be nice if he could read English, and not talk bullshit. It is written on the bottle Wines of Croatia, and not Serbia.
It was delicious, thanks goes to the Republic of Croatia. 🍷
It's always nice seeing new videos from you!! Thanks!!
Thanks Stuart and I seriously appreciate the comment.
Hey thanks for the tutorial. I would be keen to see your video on editing the wine bottle. Cheers
