This zy play app tutorial video explains how to connect your Zhiyun Weebil s to the Zy play app and shows an overview of the various settings and things you can do there.
If you need to update the firmware on your weebil s the app should prompt you as you make the connection.

Hi again Adrian. I little update. Yes it functions with just the mobile. But I have not received the camera yet to see if I can use my mobile as a monitor via the app. I have two questions.
1. Is the sony a6400 compatible with all the buttons that Weebil S has (recording button, ISO etc)?
2. Is there anyway to use a smartphone instead of a camera? Can it function and is there any adaptors to mount the mobile on the quick release plate or elsewhere? Maybe it would not work because of the weight right?

W and T are for the compatible zoom lenses or maybe the follow focus motor if set in the zoom ring of the lens... You can find the W T buttons in most handycams and it stands for Wide-Telephoto

How come on your app scree the W and T aren't greyed out? Mine cannot do anything.
So do you need the trans mount to get the camera’s view on your phone?
Can't you view live from zy play app in this?
Can you have the Weebill pan on its own? I mean, press a button in the app and the weebill starts panning in a set direction without having to keep holding a button in the app?

Thanks for the video. It seems extremely difficult to find information about how to use this iteration of the app. Using a Weebill S and Sony A6400. Would be really cool to see the motion tracking features, or detailed use of the Panorama settings.

I would have to check some other time - am not near the gimbal). i struggled to find it in the software too i recall having to swipe the screen on the phone to locate it. not really intuitive at all to me.
I always enjoy your videos. Adrian! Thank you for sharing. I love my new Weebill-S but I was under the impression that one could control things like shutter, f/stop, ISO, etc. from the app just as I can from the gimbal's handle. But after reviewing your video it appears that this is not the case. As you know, the fonts are so small for these tired old eyes that I would love to have been able to use my big Android Note 8 smart phone screen to adjust basic settings on my Canon 5DM2. Do you have any thoughts on this?

Adrian, I’m watching this a couple of years after you made it but this is a very good video. I just bought the Weebill S and downloaded the app. A couple of months ago I bought the Fujifilm X-T4 and that will be my primary video camera. I will probably get the Weebill transmission system but I had one question for you: I’ve been able to do several things with the app to remote control the gimbal. However, the red record button on the app doesn’t seem to do anything. I realize that I can’t see the image on my iPhone until I have the transmission system, but shouldn’t the record button at least start my camera recording? The record button on the gimbal works at least.
You probably have the answer to this, but you had also asked what the W and T are for on the app. I assume that would be zoom settings, wide-angle and telephoto. Using the optional zoom motor should allow you to zoom using the app.
afraid i dont have the answer on the record button question - might be worth asking zhiyun customer support? Wide angle and telephoto - thanks for pointing it out. had been answered earlier yet still good of you to mention it.

I have a Weebill S with the TransMount kit.
When I connect the Weebill S to the ZY Play app the Histogram always shows up and I can't hide it. The Histogram button to make it appear and disappear is not in the current version of ZY Play. I need to do live streaming and the histogram should not appear. Is there a way to hide it?
W T for zoom or focus I think if motor connected

Can it be tilted 360 on tripod by app?

W&T - I would hazard a guess, that this is Wide and Tele refering to zoom setting. Atleast these abbreviations are often used for this on cameras.

my mental health is very poor tonight because of the weebill s. Nowhere in the app does it say connect Weebil S like your version does, And when you click on smooth 4 nothing happens but a spin. I've been searching for an hour for one person to help get connected to the app and it's just not happening. This gimble is going back. It's not only me. I see across the board at every single one of these how to connect videos frustrated people who are saying that same as me WTF

On my iphone i can click bottom left of the screen on the icon that looks a bit like a gimbal - lines and dots) and then the hamburger menu top left that on my phone says For Pro Cameras,
Then i can select Weebil S

@@sutv6754 You are welcome. Zhiyun tech support and their interface design leave a lot to be desired. Once I managed to navigate past that the hardware performed well for me. Enjoy the Ronin.
@@The_Principles It's funny Adrian. I'm very tech savoy and I build my own computers and I edit video professionally but the gimble has always alluded me. Last year I tried so hard to use a Glidecam style unit and ended up getting rid of it. I've had the weebill a month now and I have it all nice and balanced and ready to go yet I'm completely lost as to how to operate it. It's all over the place. I get to keep it for another couple of weeks so maybe I'll get something going by then where I'll keep it. The videos online I've found don't really help you get using it so well. Anyhow thank you.

Can you access the transmount servo max on zy play app?

From what I have read and the fact that there are 2 buttons in the app W and T (which people say stands for Wide and Telephoto) and these buttons do nothing on my setup (without the transmout servo) I would have thought yes, you would access it through the app.
Adrian i had seen one video that can access the servo but using the weebill lab, haven’t seen any using the weebill-s. If you buy servo in the future maybe you would like to do a comprehensive video on it.😁
If it works for the weebill lab I would expect it will work for the weebill s which is an updated and improved gimbal.
With regards to doing a video Of course I will. Please be aware that right now I have no plans for that purchase.
Adrian, I e-mailed Zhiyun and told me that in order to access the servo thru the zy play app I need to have the transmitter. For your reference to your future videos.

try swiping the screen (if i remember correctly)
tap on the three lines and select the Weebill S, they have the dumbest UI ever tbh

Hey Adrian and thank you so much for this video. I am not sure but does one need to have the transmitter to be able to connect the weebill S with his mobile? I know that to be able to transmit the image of the dslr to the phone one needs the wireless transmitter but is it the same if one just wants to control the gimbals movements?

You are welcome.. You should be able to control the gimbal with the app. I also broadcast from the camera to another phone as a monitor on occasion.

Just got my Weebill S last night. The ZY Play app does not show Weebill S as an option and nothing I do seems to cause app to connect to the gimbal. Anyone have similar issue and figure it out?
App is not very well designed - from memory click on the hamburger icon and when you should be able to see one of the gimbals - swipe left or right and you can then find the weebils s. took me a good while to find it and get it to connect.
Adrian you are correct - pretty bad design. I eventually stumbled on it but not intuitive at all. Thank you.

It doesn't need a transmitter right??
The transmitter is needed to use the follow focus i think they call it where the camera/gimbal can stay locked onto a target.
