Let me clear something up. CLEARLY, it’s “just a show” & “iTs NoT rEaL”. The fun is talking about it like it’s real. We all used to watch it and it’s enjoyable to look back and “analyze”.
It’s really not that deep tho.
LaVidaRosa if Moesha never did end after season 6 how further do you think the show would’ve lasted.
@@seihair1810 why do you think the show was cancelled
I love your hair in this vid. It’s so pretty!
I’m just so confused. We’re talking about the work of several writers aren’t we???? I’m glad it was just a sitcom for Brandy Countess Shar Lamont etc! Because the age we are now. I’m still looking at THIER accomplishments and the fact that they were apart of movement for our Black community in Hollywood. I’m sure they wished they could navigate the engine as well. But that’s the REALITY of entertainment! What’s real to me is vloggers today and that make impractical and thoughts real or create mindless tv for ratings and monetary gain. Now that’s real ijs. Rip Lamont Mr. Santana Bernie and Miss Yvette🥰🙏🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽😇
I agree
Hakeem always checked Moesha when wrong and was genuinely happy for her success. That's a real friend.
Facts, he was the realest
Good luck finding friends like that today.
Yes. I’ve always said that. Sometimes she didn’t deserve him.
@@brianas6550 They were better as friends instead of lovers.
@@brianas6550 She never did because she chose Q over him!
i hated how moesha felt like she could be the only smart one out of her friends. remember when her pride was way too big to ask niecy for help with her chemistry hw?
That irritates my soul🙄 and how sweet Neicy was when she said “of course I’ll help you girl.” Such a good friend she was.
I couldn’t stand how she treated Kim when she the cheerleading squad or felt like she was too stupid to go to college.
@@PineapplesCoconut let’s not act like that was just Moe because ALL of them thought Kim was stupid and made fun of her
Sameeee !!!
She was highly disrespectful towards Kim too.
Dee was holding the fort down while Frank acted like he was in charge. She never received credit for how she kept Mo' in check and Miles in line while he went through puberty. You never saw her being mean or belittling Mo' or Miles. I get upset over how this is expected of women and not seen as an extension of femininity. This is an example of how just having a "man" in the home doesn't mean better children. Frank (and his chilren) was fortunate to have Dee.
Yea they definitely were lucky to have her they were all a mess
They were all lucky to have each other. Frank needed Dee and Dee needed Frank. Dee was a great wife and stepmother. Frank was a great husband and father.
But I truly hated that idiotic plotline of Frank being Dorians actual father. The writers basically destroyed a great character and the show's dynamic for nothing.
Right. Cuz Mo did have a mom before Dee. I'm sure she was a major part in how Mo turned out. Frank's parenting is toxic behavior. Reading her diary, really?
Dee needed more backbone sometimes and I think it’s why she isn’t talked about as the great moms of TV. The biggest example is when Moesha moved out/kicked out for a while summer and even Frank mom was like what the hell you doing?
Dee should of Moe and Frank clean that up
U feel me thooooo!!! She held it down!!!
I started re-watching and within the first 6 episodes Moesha commented on Kim's weight two or more times each episode. Kim wasn't fat AT ALL!
Monique King Ikr. It was so messed up. Both girls said something about the producers putting stuff like that in the script. Brandy even said she didnt want to do it, but the producers forced her too. Shar even stood up for herself. In one of the episodes called “The List”, they made a statement about Shars boob size which didn’t sit right with her. They also made a comment about Brandys butt being big. Yes it’s for the show, but they still are talking about their bodies irl. Countess even said she would leave the show if the body shaming continued. But she didn’t because she knew it would mess up the whole entire storyline. But yea. All three women didn’t appreciate the body shaming at all. It’s really sad.😕 producers even tried to blame brandy (since she is one of the producers) and say she put all that In the script. When In reality it really wasn’t her. She was the one trying to defend all the girls.
@@inlovewithkenn wow I didn’t know that 😯

Moesha and Hakeem as a couple was SO weird like they had a brother sister relationship in the beginning seasons
I HATE that they them in as a couple. That was horrible & each episode depicting it was outright cringy.
I did too and when ray j came on to the show that when the show went left!
Mo and Hakeem grew up together. They were like brother and sister.
Hakeem deserved so much more, he was my favorite character. I hated how they would make fun of him for being broke in the earlier seasons. Its not his fault he was poor. Especially the adults (Frank), like how do you as a grown man bully a child because he has nowhere to eat but your house. Dee also deserved more, and was really the ones who knew how to raise those kids because the tough love drill sergeant act Frank was tryna pull was not working for anyone. But tbh Frank acted all big and tough but he wasnt that unreasonable with Moesha, he was just mean and she was just annoying and had to break every basic rule just for kicks. But then when it came to Dorian, he didnt really punish him until he stole a car to sell drugs.
Frank gives off I was poor growing up and I made it out now I’m better than everyone else
How did he bully Hakeem he let him in his home let him eat with his family everyday and night?

Honestly. I was so mad when she left that guy who proposed to her just to go back to Bernie🙄
They treated her better on The Parkers
Back then 30 WAS an old maid
And was Dee already in her 40s when she married Frank? Weird they made Andell older in The Parkers

One episode that really stood out to me was when Brandy was accepted into a university. When Kim came to visit she mentioned how nice the school looked and how she wanted to attend it as well.

That episode was a classic.

Yes, the fat shamed tf out of Kim! I thought I was the only one that caught onto that. Kim wasn’t even that big. She just wasn’t as skinny as the group of friends she had.
They would fat shame Kim and skinny shame Niecy
It wasn't even that she was fat. She was just compressed. Literally short asf. Bc if she was fat, she wouldn't have been as energetic and athletic enough to land the spot on the cheerleading team. She'd be the one throwing shade with a stank attitude like moesha did.
Keep in mind this is 96 when the average size was like 4. Even Phoebe from Friends said she went through insecurities on the show because she was bigger than Rachel and Monica, even though Phoebe was like a 6 or maybe 8, if that. It’s a product of how toxic the 90’s were with weight. Kim was definitely not big, she looked about 145-150 which is healthy weight to me.
She was just thick......but definitely shorter than everyone. That's all it was but to keep the shaming going all the time was corny and tired😖

It wasn't just Kim and Andell they made thirsty. Neicy was thirsty as well. She wanted to get with Moesha's annoying weird cousin Clark ( Waldo from Family Matters) Moesha called her desperate for that and Moesha always cracked about the faults Niecy's boyfriends had ( bad breath, mumble mouth, a limp) all her friends had trouble getting guys but the guys always flocked to her. Moesha wasn't the only intelligent one in the group. Neicy was just as intelligent but she didn't reveal it to her friends until graduation when she revealed what university she was accepted to.

I totally agree that Moesha was toxic. but as 10-12 year olds watching it back in the mid 90s, some of us really didnt realize how toxic she was until now. Alot of us are in our early to mid 30s rewatching this show for the first time in years, however were able to sit and appreciate the realness, were able to sit and acknowledge the issues that occurred, were able to sit and realize damn, Moesha was a terrible friend and shitty gf sometimes, Frank was prolly cheating on Dee (or dealing drugs) cuz who sells cars at midnight, Hakeem was such an amazing friend but ppl overlooked that because they looked at him like he was a freeloader. All in all, i loved rewatching one of my favorite childhood shows now that im older and wiser. Moesha is so important to black culture!
He was cheating on Dee. He had a whole outside baby
@@chocha4438
That was Dorian, that was way before he met Dee. He cheated on Moesha and Myles mother while they were separated. But as far as we know he never cheated on Dee.
Rewatching on Netflix with my mom and Moesha was truly selfish and trash. The icing on the cake was when she skipped on Myles therapy to judge a low budget talent show
Yeah moesha was very toxic gf and horrible friend. The show was still cool though.
OK - She was a teen. Most teens I know were exactly like her honestly. They were selfish and made really poor choices, all the while thinking they were grown/ had it all together lol 😂
I TOTALLY forgot about Dorian being Frank’s son! Frank was a narcissist.
Y do you think he was a narcissist?
I absolutely hated when they made frank dorian father... I basically stopped watching after that...cant let a black man be great
He was definitely a classist.
Frank and Dorian relationship was annoying I feel like the storyline was dry
Honestly I can see that the proud family was HEAVILY inspired by Moesha lol. A sassy young black girl with a middle class family & friends similar to mo’s. Dijonay & Sticky were literally carbon copies of Kim & Hakeem. Penny was more likable than Moesha
Proud family even had a parody Moesha TV show. AISHA.
femalegirlzz yea I remember lol 😂
@@phillinsogood Dijonay was Kim and Niecy rolled into one. She chased sticky around like Kim did Hakeem and she had a whole bunch of siblings like Niecy
Yup
Never thought about that.
I wanna know why they had Niecy wear that tired ponytail all of season 5&6. Meanwhile Brandy had a new hairdo every episode🙄🤦🏾♀️
Frrr
Right!! And her hair was cute in the earlier seasons
Because brandy was the star lol what type of question is that. That’s like saying why Lisa on sister sisters had the same hairstyle while the twins hair was different 🙄
I used to sit and watch the show and wonder "Now how come Moesha can pull all these guys?" Something's not adding up.... Moesha was extremely ungrateful and failed to take responsibility, always blaming her friends or some other source for HER problems.
Cuz she pretty and the show is about her
Huh? How was she ungrateful and her friends were the reason sum of her probs started
Definitely not ungrateful but whatever.
That was my BIGGEST gripe. Brandy was 4/10 in California yet every dude on the show wanted her. Like, no. They would not.

NO Moesha was kinda annoying and trying to be innocent but she was a bit nice and the theme song is GOOD!
I noticed on the Parker's Kim character had more ! She was a fashion designer and always loving & caring towards her friends hmm tee & Stevie were better friends inn my
Opinion
yeah i agree. T and Stevie were Kim's real friends than her old ones (Moesha especially).
Moesha had her ways, but Frank was the worst father. He wasn’t even hard on Dorian and Dorian was going around causing chaos everywhere he went. Dorian was also one of the reasons the show went downhill. He wasn’t needed.
He definitely was more lenient on Dorian once he moved in. The only time he put his foot down was when he put Dorian In boot camp.

And we’re not even gonna talk abt that one homophobic episode..💀💀
Or the hate crime
Wym
Which episode was that c
It was season 4 episode 12. Life imitating art. Moesha was soo problematic in that one
When she forced that guy to come out?! Yeah, mind ya business Moesha!
Yeah...Moesha was toxic. She needed therapy. The fat shaming of Kim, mocking Hakeem’s socioeconomic status and treating him like a charity case, always pointing out Miles’ inadequacies....it was all bad. lol Her dad was definitely part of the reason she felt like she was better than her friends, but I think she put on a front for that most part, to cover up her shortcomings. Frank was a toxic parent. He was a bully. When Dee came along, she pointed it out. I loved Andell though. She was always a voice of reason.
And girl!! My first car was a metallic blue Pontiac Grand AM! lol
Andell??? What I thought her name was aunt dell lol
I absolutely hated frank. He wasn’t a good father. He would literally call his daughter so many names. Like when he said moesha looked like a tramp for wearing a crop top. Moesha was.. Idk. Toxic, not good to anyone really. Made so many stupid choices. So ungrateful too.
This is all true but, if they were perfect role models we wouldn't watch it.
Isaac Diakité agreed. But they could have made them good people with flaws.
@@kheymaurasweat2840
But I think they were good people with flaws, and all honesty as much as we talk about the "toxic" people on this show we probably know and love people like that. It's a realistic portrayal. Perhaps that's why certain characters bother you so much(I'm asking not stating).
I also appreciated that Moesha was spoiled too and I liked that fact that all the guys in the show flocked to Moesha. It’s rare to see these days on tv with unambiguous black women, especially with the nuances of colorism being talked about more. BUT I did not like the fact that Niecy and Kim did not get the same energy from men when they were just as beautiful and deserving. Frank was a toxic parent and a hypocrite. What I can appreciate about frank is him looking after Hakeem like his own and how loving and soft he was with Moesha when they were on good terms, which was nice to see for me because I would’ve loved that type of treatment from my father who was barely in my life. What I mainly appreciate from the show is the images of feminine darker skin unambiguous black women and girls(Dee was everything). Even those little clips in between scenes of random blackness and culture and the neighborhood they lived in. It’s a real BLACK family show that where none of the kids are mixed. I feel like the kids coming up now need to see that. Hopefully someone can create a family show similar to Moesha but less problematic
Yes they were fine
Yes my daughter is 11 and she’s always talking about how she can never see black girls on a whole show by themselves it’s always a token black girl and she’s mixed
@@beebeesimmer3010 I agree! I’m 13 I swear in most of these shows now it’s always the “token black friend” I barely see a black main character in shows it upsets me
Yes! She had her flaws but I agree with all that I said. I like brown skinned Laura Winslow too.
Yea I totally agree with everything u said. & agree that while I love the fact that Moesha a dark skinned unambiguous mono-racial black girl was the “it - girl” of the show and got all the attention from guys I don’t like that they portrayed it as if her friends could barely get attention from guys it really just didn’t make sense Neicy was just as pretty & was slim like Moesha so I don’t understand how she was supposed to not get any attention from guys & Kim was thick & pretty as well (even though they acted like she was huge) so I don’t understand how they tried to act like she couldn’t get any attention from guys. It kinda seemed to me like even though they offset colorism with Moesha’s character by having her get all the attention I still feel like they further perpetuated it with Neicy & Kim bcus it was like the show was saying there can only be one dark skinned girl getting attention and being great & the only reason she’s getting attention is bcus she’s “perfect” she’s pretty, smart, & ambitious and that’s why she deserves attention so it kinda low key enforces this idea that dark skinned women have to be perfect and have no flaws (even though in actually Moesha has plenty of flaws) to get attention from guys & be the “it” girl, and this notion that u can’t be “mediocre” like they tried to portray Kim & Neicy & get attention as an unambiguous dark/brown skinned girl u must be “perfect” to be the “it” girl & even then there can only be one at a time.
Don't forget the episode when she (Moesha) was in college and her roommate was Marissa Winokur and she didn't think this hot guy liked her (Marissa) because of her weight smh 🤦🏾 horrible "friend" lol
Out of all the episodes mentioned, Moesha was the worst in that episode lol
@@brandonbates9259 Exactly!! I couldn't stand her character lol like she was the only one who could pull a guy 🤦🏾😂😂
Someone really needs to tell Moesha to "shut the hell up and mind your own business!!!"
Yea that really pissed me off. It’s the same as when kim had to tell mo and niecy off saying that smaller sizes doesn’t equate to being attractive.
The "thirsty desperate big girl" stereotype was the reason why I couldn't get into The Parkers (I watched Moesha and couldn't stand how they played Kim about her weight). They had Mo'Nique literally stalking Professor Oglevee! As a young lady back then, I was like "wow, is it like THAT?!"
FRRRR. It was actually exposed out that Brandy, Countess, and Shar tried to get the producers to stop talking bad about their bodies. It especially showed in the list. Shar didn’t appreciate them talking about her titty size, Brandy didn’t appreciate them talking about her butt being big, and Countess didn’t appreciate them talking about her weight in the scripts. But they forced them to continue on with the scenes. It was alleged at one point that Countess wanted to leave the show but she didn’t because she knew it would mess up the storyline. It’s really messed up.😕

I agreed with everything. The only thing that I want to add is, Frank's affair was written in at the last minute of the show. Frank and Sheryl Lee Ralph disagreed with the change but that was the writer's way of bringing Ray J onto the show full time. This is why Sheryl left the show.
It was so unrealistic for a teen to turn down a car!! Hell I would take ANY car at that age as long it drives lol.

The show was so well written and the characters were so developed and deep BUT MOESHA WAS TOXIC. Double standard central. She got all in everyone's business but hated people in her own, she cheated on Q with his cousin but for mad when her man accidentally kissed Neicy, the spoiltness, the disrespect, the audacity had me twitching the entire series

niecy and kim are such an underrated duo. they’re both super smart but never really got to reveal that on the show because moesha didn’t let them. they’re so sweet as well and non toxic and they defo deserve more hype.

When I rewatched the show, I changed my mind about liking Moesha. She was just MEAN. And I couldn't understand why Q was so in love with her
Hi! Neicy was smarter than Moesha. She down-played her academic achievements to hang with Kimmy and especially Mo. I thought her storyline was more interesting. Frank and that Eddie Murphy laugh got on my nerves. Brandy and Countess fail out for the reasons you've mentioned. Moesha needed her friends more than they needed her. This show and other shows promote hierarchical structures and stereotypes in society.
Yes it wasn't until that episode when they were getting accepted into college when Niecy revealed how smart she was by the University she said she was accepted to. It seemed like she downplayed her intelligence because if she didn't she would upstage Moesha because she is known for her academic achievements.
I mean that’s not really lord fault though bc niecy hid it even Hakeem thought niecy was dumb when he made that comment about cheating off of her
@@LilacStar82 yea I hate that the sitcoms from back in the day that starred a teenage girl always had to have the star of the show be constantly shown as being so great and so much better than everyone else by purposely scripting the friends as sidekicks who were less than the main character (less attractive, less smart, less moralistic, etc.) just to prop up the main character as being so great
Frank was so selfish when Dee wanted to go to Jamaica for her new job and when she found the birth control pills
No one ever addressed how she treated nicey
One thing I never liked about Moesha (the show) was that her dad was always policing her around boys. Her dad never trusted her even though she never had sex before college.

She didnt have sex BECAUSE of the policing

Dorian's friends didn't kidnap miles miles was kidnapped by someone else.
Brandy's mom is the reason The "Moesha" character was so ridiculous. She was the "virginal, straight A student"

Okay rant time, lol. Rewatching the show on Netflix now and just noticed a few things. Pretty similar to what was said in this video.
1. the characters that really brings the comedy to the show is Kim and Niecy but especially Kim. Comedy wise, Kim carried that show. I love her. No wonder she got her spin-off "The Parkers"
2. Sorry if it's mean, but like almost every episode some guy hits on moesha likes she's just the hottest girl in the world and I'm always like..."why?" Lol
3.Moesha was really arrogant and thought she was better than all of her friends. Very arrogant, judgemental and prideful. Usually she realizes her ways by the end of the episode, but still...she was pretty trash at times. I honestly wouldn't be friends with her. I rather hang with Kim and Niecy, even tho they're gossips lol
4. Frank was way too overprotective. Moesha should be way more thankful for Dee. Dee disciplined when necessary. And was way more understanding of what a teenager was and how to deal wit them. Frank's style of parenting was to protect his own feelings most of the time, cus he didn't wanna see his daughter grow up.
5. Dorian was literally the worst fucking character lmao he stayed causing trouble and did it on purpose, constantly. No matter how many times he got caught, he still did whatever he wanted to do. He was extremely selfish and just overall a bad kid.
6. Lastly in my opinion Moesha looked better with Q than she did Hakeem. They had better romantic, chemistry. Its just Q wasn't as sweet and caring as Hakeem. Q at times was controlling and personality wasn't really compatible with Moesha's. If he was more like Hakeem I think they could have worked. And Moesha and Hakeem seemed better off as friends to me. Romantically their relationship, seemed awkward/ forced to me.
Kay, end of rant 😂
Good review on things...what do you think about Myles character?
@@Msklg
Nothing really about Myles character for me. He was a typical annoying / smart mouth little brother. I did think the whole smoking weed episode was unnecessary though. Like I get he did it because he felt left out from his family at times but after they finished therapy and everything things basically went back to the same way it always was lmaoooo
Yonbon Bonbon I agree
I wholeheartedly agree. I also wish Q stayed in the show tbh after s2. When Mo left Usher for him and they still didn't get together that made me mad honestly cuz Usher was actually good to Moesha so there was really no reason for them to break up unless they wanted to develop Q as a character and they didn't
@@iroseart3369
True. It didn't made much sense for him to come back in the show and then for not to be any kind of development after that.
Another thing that kind of annoyed me too is that there was a few episodes where they made a big thing out of Moesha and the subject of having sex for the first time and deciding if she was ready for it.
Like the whole situation with Aaron and the whole birth control thing. But they never revealed if she ever did have sex. Like I know there was a scene when her and Q left her room after a night together and then there was that scene with Hakeem in his apartment too. Like what happened there?..
Honestly... I like and hate Moesha at the same time.
I’m so glad you talked about her turning down that car. I knew immediately this was not the show for me. Then the way she treated Kim was the absolute worse. I related a lot more to The Parker’s because my mom had me at a young age and we have a similar relationship.
Moesha is one of my favourite shows from my childhood. But I hadn't seen the series in years. I recently finished watching the series on Netflix and I definitely see what you and other critics of the series are talking about.
For example Moesha gave Hakeem a hard time about dating an older woman. But later on in the series, she tried to date an older man not once but twice.
It's actually interesting that this culture exist. You can come back to old shows and critique them as an adult or just more mature with people over social media. All these black shows with substance had lots of relatable gems in them. Glad I found your channel
Moesha was annoying Kim was the bomb 💣 niece was a vibe and so was Hakeem 🥰
Before I watched the whole video I was gonna comment about the cheerleading episode then I said na let me wait cause she gotta mention that one it was like the second episode in and Moesha was already wildin. when Hakeem told Moesha off tho I was like thank youuu! lol
I was low key in love with Hakeem. Even though I loved me some Q. Hakeem was real and down and cute. He was a real down friend and later boyfriend.
Yeah Hakeem always told her the truth when she wasn’t being a good friend.
Yes! I agree with this rant 1000% I watched this as a 30 year old and couldn’t get pass the second episode. Moesha was a terrible friend but a painfully accurate reflection of some girls I knew in my teen years smh
You have a point about how friends SHOULD not talk to each other. But...in reality female friends who like grow up with each other do talk about each other like that and they stay being friends.
You know, I would've had a big problem with your rant, but Brandy said it in an Oprah interview years ago that she got to the point whereas she couldn't stand playing Moesha anymore herself because she was too judgmenta. So I get it.
I watched the Parkers and Moesha again and realized how problematic a lot of it was. I agree with your opinions though.
I was praying you would talk about that cheerleading episode. That episode has stuck with me to this day. I remember watching that as a teen. After that episode I didn’t even really like Moesha (the character) anymore. It had me so bothered for a long time and I didn’t know why. I remember my gramma, who would sit with me while I watched TV, said “what kind of friend is that?” while cracking her pecans. Love you, Gramma.❤️
I’m now in my 40s. What I have found that is Gen X’ers have turned into the old people we swore we would never be and I’m mortified. We’ve turned into those same old people who can’t take criticism over “our tv shows and music”. I’m happy these shows are being analyzed and discussed. The fact that we can now re-watch these shows with adult eyes and knowledge and realize... dang, that really was messed up.
All I can hear when I see Dee is "Singing does not put food on the table, Singing does not pay the bills Singing is no guarantee to a future even if you have got talent"
Same. Lol
sister Act 2
They were all mean to each other at different times. They were all bad friends to each other but worked through their issues.
Humans lol
True. But the show didn't frame Moesha as the problem nearly as much as it should have.
Bad part is Hakeem looked up to Moesha's life. She had loving upstanding middle class parents one sibling & hew own yet she didn't appreciate it.
loved this video. I also hated the way they treated Hakeem , like he was lower than them simply because you shared some food with him. They literally knew him for ages yet still made him feel unwelcome. I don't like the way they kept commenting on Niecy being "skinny". Dee was definitely my favourite . Thank you so much for this amazing video xx
I don’t even get how they shamed Neicy for being skinny when wasn’t Mo just as skinny as her
Also I hated how Ray-J made a plethora of cameos as different characters and then all of a sudden he’s Moesha Cousin/Half brother 🤦🏿♂️😂
ikr?
I think Moesha was about character development everyone is not perfect and there will be people who we bump into that can act like Moesha! I think when we criticize characters we’re showing how out of reality we are because people act like Moesha but they matured
I dont think it was THAT ungrateful to turn down that car because she said she wanted to earn the car herself; She wanted to EARN it. But your right only about 50% of the time Moesha got what she deserved for being so toxic. I don’t think they used the thirsty big women thing as a stereotype, but thats just me. Another thing is that the more serious episodes never really taught a lesson, like when Miles got caught smoking weed, he didnt get a punishment, we never learned why and how he did it, and on top of that Miles never learned the consequences of smoking weed at such a young age or just in general. Also whenever he went to therapy the way he told his feelings was very confusing. “You always kick me out of your room when your friends come” but at the same time he invades her privacy and makes her pay a ransom to not tell her secrets. I know thats supposed to be like ‘the joke thing that only Miles would do’ but it still defeats his whole argument. Also I think the reason Frank went so easy on Dorian was because Dorian never really got over the whole jerry springer situation and Frank wanted Dorian to think of him as the cool dad so that he would like him more. In s5 and 6 I thought when Moesha and Hakeem were dating was super weird because they’re supposed to be the childhood best friends. And lastly, i know this weird but Moe losing her virginity was supposed to be like a really meaningful, important thing to her and when it happened it was just ‘no biggie’. And she stopped writing in her diary so we heard less of the iconic music, and Kim was gone
Oooooooo that hair!!😍😍 Love those earrings
Thanks love🤗-Tutorial coming💖
IT LOOKS SO SOOOOOFT!!
To be honest this reminded me of previous experiences that I’ve experienced with being made fun of and told like “are you slow” for not knowing certain things and it’s sad that people don’t really accept that not everyone is going to have the same characteristics as them. It’s almost like ppl have some kind of superiority that makes them feel that they are better than another person and true friends support each other and embrace the flaws of their friend not demean someone because of them. I know nobody is perfect but this does prove an issue that continuously goes on and it sucks
I feel like They was soooo mean to Kim and she was soo underrated and moesha was such a bad friend to Kim
I liked Moesha who I couldn’t stand was Frank, I found him attractive but I still hated him and his sanctimonious attitude towards people especially his children, the man had a whole side child hidden for 17 years that he fathered after he cheated on his now deceased wife and tried to pass Dorian off as has nephew until Aunt Hattie spilled the beans.
Moesha: 🎶 Am I realizing my responsibility? 🎶
Me: Not really.
You forgot to mention that Moesha's father was very controlling too
My least favorite episode does when Moses that got her that car and she wanted a Jeep if that was me I would have been like girl you better take that damn car
Thats literally what made me stop watching the series. I can not take 6 seasons of her.
Booksxbritt Tv y’all act like that was real life damn it’s a tv show
@@clipz4dayz794 of course its a tv show. But her behavior on the show wasn't entertaining to me.
@@clipz4dayz794 rightttt. Likeeee. I be reading these comments like y'all know it's all a script, right?😂
She’s a complex character guys , I love it . It makes her more realistic.
I still take issue with Frank and Moesha’s mom for how they treated Dorian. I know a cheating spouse hurts but how could you, as a mother, force a father to forsake his child like that? Don’t punish the kid for his parents’ sins. And how could Frank not take responsibility and be a father to Dorian? Your kid that you created?
i feel like moesha was overall a good child , she just let her ego get the best of her plus she’s really her fathers daughter if you think about it , but like she wasn’t as bad as some characters/kids
Lord I've stumbled upon this lovely channel and I am now binge watching! I love the concept of discussing and analyzing shows
I love your rant videos and how you get so involved with the narratives. Love your work hun. x
To the person reading this:
You're amazing stay blessed stay safe and healthy during quarantine🥺
My Dream is to hit 3k I am struggling to
Girl my granddaddy got me a 98 Pontiac sunfire with no air. Girl I was the happiest 17 year old. Moesha was def spoiled and mean.
Yeah, moesha was a jerk in season 1 and 2. But 3 thought the end she was pretty good
what abiut 4?
I understand moesha meant to be the main character and all and yes she’s attractive but i like niecy better, she my favourite😍 I mean yeah she was a gossip and lil thirsty w/ kim but to me she looks prettier, she’s funny just has a better, bubblier personality. Dee is a beauty too, probs the best one out the lot😍
I love how you speak about the characters like they are real. Your video is great! You are so gorgeous as well!
Omg when I rewatched Moesha I felt the same way you felt. Sis was mean af , she thought she was better than everyone. She was lowkey jealous of Kim. She talked down to all of her friends. And when sis turned down that brand née car I almost threw my phone at the tv, the ungrateful ness of it all bothered me. Definitely don’t like her character anymore.
In the 80's and 90's kids acted like the people on the show
She was a kid! A spoiled one at that, that made common teenage mistakes. Plus, her daddy was strict asf so her behavior was spot on. Her character went through a lot of development which it should've. Who was always a good friend like that in highschool? I didn't like how she was in everyones (Hakeem) business and tried to always fix shit, but it's a show. Oh and the car situation and Dorian, but all in all I loved the show had great lessons. I hate this new age "let's analyze because I'm grown now". You wasn't back then and you related because you were the same age with the characters, and going through the same shit.
They should've made a show about hakeem, moesha was so rude all the time to all of her friends. She always had to be smarter, better, or have more problems than her friends for no reason.
