- Installed rear window louvers on my 2004 Mustang GT and this is how I accomplished it.

these louvers look a lot better if you get them painted and clear coated. it prevents the plastic from having that faded look that they get after a year or so. it also helps prevent them from warping to much.

How has it held up? It hasn’t flown off in highway speeds? Asking cause I’ve read some customer reviews on AM and they’ve claimed it has.

how did they hold up i just got some of these for my 94 mustang excited to get them in a month lol i live in kelowna canada and they shipping from summit racing in ohio after reading comments on here about them flying off ill definatly put extra strong glue on the whole thing maybe even some duck tape jk but they did cost almost 700$ so id hate for them to take off anyways great video thanks for posting

This is funny. i was looking up what size nuts for the window louver to replace mine.. and i am pretty sure that i now own the car from your videos lol every thing is exactly the same from the 18 inch rear wheels with nitto tires to the 17 inch front rims, the same rear view camera set up the lettering on the rear bumper, the exact same rear window louver. the smoked lights, fuel door. its even the same color exterior and interior. do you still have this car by any chance? because if you sold it, i may have it.... or a really close clone

Wow, yea, I sold it. It's a great car. I hated to sell it but I had to.
@@chris10077 if its any consolation, i love it. Its basically the same as when you sold it. Just did basic engine bolt-ons, the clutch quadrant, short shifter. My 10 year old is already staking claim to it for when he hits 16.
@@chris10077 i bought it in October of 2023 and only 3500 miles had been put on it since you video post about selling it.
I didn't drive it very often. I bought a new 2016 Mustang GT, so it just sat in the driveway most of the time . Oh yea, and you might want to know the clutch in it is practically new.
does the silicone also help make the brackets stick?
It may help but the primary purpose is to keep moisture out.
CHRIS10077 what would you recommend for super holding?
just me I would recommend Goop marine grade adhesive.
What rims do you have and how much would they cost?
they're 5 spoke deep dish bullitts. the whole set can be from $400-$600 depending on what website you get them from. (:

Question with the deep dish front rims do you have any problems with the front rubbing.
Actually, no. i have had no problem with rubbing. the only time i had rubbing problems was after i dropped my car (: but before then, stock height and deep dish all around, there was no problems (:

CHRIS10077 Haha! They actually split in half. I had the MMD louvers on my car but very similar. Found one half but never found the other.
Same, was going around 70 mph when wind go underneath mine and flew right off with some of the brackets. Found it on top of a bush 3 days of searching later.
DA DEPTHS mine flew off at 110 MPH on a highway. Luckily nobody was hurt but these louvers definitely aren’t safe. They rattle and will wear out as time goes by and fly off like mine when driving fast in high winds.
RageBear sorry that some people have mods to test out like nitrous and trying out new tunes and does not have enough funds to go to a raceway or dyno. It was on a highway with no cars. Not that big a deal.
