New sub here!! Thank you for this video!
Welcome Krafty! Thanks so much for watching and subscribing 😊
Hi Jayne!
Just wanted to say you are such a great teacher, and have such a bubbly fun personality! I was thinking about getting this dust, but I have to tell you the part that I love the most is what you mentioned as anthracite… My favorite combination you have there is the white with the dark color combo on the left . In your video you said you thought it was anthracite, but I can’t find anything on your website called that.
Can you tell me what you used on the whiteboard with the darker stain on the left side?
Thank you so much!!
Hello Kim, thanks for watching 😊 The wax I use on that piece is Anthracite Wax by Autentico. And though I don't carry it anymore you can Google it to find a stockist 👍🏼
Those trim pieces are gorgeous. Are they Amy Howard’s ??
I had those cut for me from a mill in GA. Here's a website (sorry, I guess I can't put links here) for a mill in FLA that has a good selection if you're interested. It's a common design.
Hello and thank you for the great tutorial! At the 7 minute mark where you out the dust on a glazed piece, I'm guessing the glaze is completely dry, as opposed to when you apply to wax, which is tacky dry? Thank you again!
Hi Connie, yes, the glaze is completely dry and was done a few weeks ago. And you're right, the wax is at that tacky stage of drying 😊
@@SurfaceAnthology ok I’m a little confused…if the glaze has dried, what is holding the DOA in the recesses ???
@@cherylmacedo5521 I didn't use a glaze, I used Autentico Clear Wax
I like this so much more than washes to age. How is this different from ash or charcoal?
hi there, I haven't used ash or charcoal so I'm not sure. Have you tried using those?
@@SurfaceAnthology no I haven’t but since I have a big bag of used charcoal I will give it a try. Like I said I like your method so much more than the other aging techniques I’ve seen which IMO cheapens the look. Once I try ask I’ll let you know how it goes! Thank you for the great videos!
@@ForeverBijou Let me know how it goes, you may be onto a whole new thing!
Can you use anything else besides wax? Does the wax make it stick? I love it but was just wondering if there is anything else to use instead of wax.
I think wax is it plus it gives it that gorgeous finish that only wax can 🥰 Not a wax lover Sharon?
Can I use this dust of ages with a wrought iron bed?
I don't see why not 😊
