A Melonseed Skiff - Sailing in Springtime

This video is about my first sail of the 2024 season. After the passage of a cold front that was attended with snow flurries, Thursday, April 25th, 2024 dawned with a fine Westerly breeze at 5-12 knots and sunshine with a temperature of 45 degrees F (7 degrees C). Grenville was launched at the municipal ramp in Hudson, Quebec and sailed on the Lake of Two Mountains (Ottawa River).

Great to see you back out! We got out on Lake Erie on March 4, light air. (Still a few snow drifts on shore. LOL) Then could not get back out due to the weather till April 16. (Ended up on the Buffalo local news for a few seconds in the background on a news story about a location on the waterfront. czcams.com/video/iS-CSz3CrbU/video.html (at :50)) Then yesterday we drove to Lake Ontario (Wilson NY), but by the time we got near Wilson we felt the car moved by the wind.....Lake Ontario was filled with white caps and a strong and cold east wind. So, we drove along the lake and checked out some new potential launch sites, and went out for a nice dinner. Still a good day. Hold Fast!
