Hit The Road Jack was my first ever MAP into the WoF Community and I am so happy it got completed!! I put all my sweat and tears into this project, helped me learn new things on the way, and met a lot of amazing and talented new friends.
This is Chameleon’s story that takes place after he was exiled from the Rainwing Tribe to Escaping Peril. Due to the lack of Electro Swing (Smh give me more Electro Swing MAP’s WoF Community pls ;-;) I have decided to take it upon myself to make a MAP with the Electro Swing version of Hit The Road Jack!

Chameleon is such an interesting character because he's more of a pitiful villain than an evil one... He's just been rejected and turned away from his kind because of something he cannot help, and so he becomes bitter and cold.
i don’t consider him a villain, i feel like its a trend to make protagonists dads evil like morrowseer, arctic, chameleon, mastermind, the list goes on.
but all of these fathers i dont consider evil. morrowseer wanted to save his tribe and mate, arctic wanted to see his mate again and he also was haunted by icewings, mastermind wanted to save his queen and chameleon had a lot of trauma behind him

artic was also mentally scared, from a borderline abusive mother. and also a traumatic incident, what he did to escape the ice kingdom, if you've read the fourth winglet you know what I'm talking about.
artic wasn't mentally stable... add the loss of his mate? I can kinda see what would make him lash out, I'm not excusing his actions, and what he did to his daughter, and the danger he put the nightwing tribe in.

Anyway my rant is that animus dragons going mad is basically just a mental break... kinda, anyway their views can just shift to not match our morality. And most of the animus dragon snaps we see in the books normally reflect some traumatic event of the dragons lives
I wonder how Chameleon would react seeing that his Tribe accepted a blind RainWing but not him.
im pretty sure he returned to the rainforest after dod and his story closed, glory is probably keeping him close and making sure no rainwing laughs at him.

Fun fact: Chameleon wasn't banished because he couldn't sleep well or because his scales didn't change color, he was banished because he creeped the tribe out by watching at them while they were sleeping

It’s about more than just that. It’s about hatred. If given the chance to return to the rainforest, he wouldn’t take it. He hates the rainwings, and he wouldn’t want to live with them. He would rather live alone than live with the dragons who laughed at him and rejected him.
As someone who listens to electro swing for hours on repeat can I just say THIS IS INCREDIBLE! I love how some parts Bob to the beat it reminds me of Mystery Skulls.

The idea behind this is amazing! I love every moment Chameleon transformed and the animations for them were glorious to watch. Great fit of a playful song too, when Chameleon just keeps transforming when it is convenient to do so.
