Curious to know exactly what the thought process for Flea, Ronnie, and Jon was. Nino has no toprock to speak of, but super clean power to footwork flow as always, and of course power heavy with less footwork. Jeff was a beat monster with everything, more of a unique freestyle rather than any kind of sets, with massively impressive movement and control, and blazing fast at that. Even though his last set didn't have the energy of the first two, it was still clean and top notch. Hard to see the decision going to Nino here even with his rounds being as good as they were.

IMO it could’ve gone either way. I think we can all agree that Jeffro got the 2nd round and El Niño got the 3rd. The 1st round was the tossup, and who you thought won is dependent on your values of what you like as a bboy/bgirl.
Big up to both dancers. And big big up to Break Free for throwing a fire event! 🔥

It's interesting to think about what exactly set off Jeffro in the first place. Losses happen all the time in breaking, so I'm sure he's used to this happening, so what set this apart? The day before, he told El Nino he needed new moves if he wanted to win, implying that he probably thinks he has a better range of moves. On top of this he has more flava and rides the beat better (my opinion but I think y'all can probably agree). Seems to me like he clearly thinks he's better based on this. Even so, El Nino told him he didn't find him a threat during this segment, and went on to beat him. Losing after a direct and public squabble like this probably made him feel more emasculated than usual, so this is what I suspect made it worse than a usual loss and pushed him to call the judges out. What do y'all think it was?
Also I don't really blame him for calling out the judges in the sense that there have been so many judge callouts in the scene I can't even count. Being exposed to this for years definitely normalizes it as something that's okay, so people are bound to repeat what they see. I didn't even really question it until hearing the discussion by Havikoro and also Flea Rock. Which is why it's important that they're opening up the dialogue. Definitely opened my eyes about the ideal way to do call-outs.

If it was a two round battle I think the judges would have go with Jeffro, although el nino slightly had the second round.
But Jeffro really came short and in my opinion didn’t secure the bag in the 3rd round. This made El Nino walk away with it. Even when it looks to me like he wasn’t really battling Jeffro.
Both are 🔥 But looking forward to see Jeffro go at it again!

I think Jeffro won the first two rounds. His mistake was in thinking that he had it in the bag and relaxing too much on his last round. You were battling El Niño, who’s no slouch and had some of his friends judging, you should have finished him Jeffro, not underestimate him. I think we won’t see El Niño winning any big comps anymore in the future, but we’ll see Jeffro win. Look at Zebulon. How many years of work has he been putting in and not winning, and now he’s starting to win?! Congrats Zeku!

As far as total package as a bboy battling another bboy, you gotta dance and address your opponent with some kind of intent. that's number 1 then we go to the floor, who has the foundation down, who has the power moves down, who has the tricks?? then we get down to originality and character. these 2 make the end result of what a bboy is. so with that being said, I think the brotha from mad crew edged out El Nino 3-2 the Kid from RAD crew came to battle and you can see it. El Nino didn't go off on the kid like he should have. Just my 2 cents
