  • On this day, Saturday, March 23rd, 2024, I spent an entire day at “Six Flags Over Texas”, from its opening at 11:00am, to when I left at 7:00pm.
It began after I woke up, and did my morning routine. After a small morning jog and a shower, I prepared a breakfast for my Aunt Jo Ann and Uncle Phil, and myself, consisting of free eggs, bacon strips, pancakes, small bowls of yogurt, and a jumbo double chocolate chip muffin. After we ate, I prepared my book bag, and we all began the drive to “Six Flags Over Texas”.
It was about a 40-minute drive from Dallas to Arlington, Texas where “Six Flags Over Texas” was located. Upon arrival, Uncle Phil, who was driving, dropped off my Aunt Jo Ann and I, and after going through the security checkpoint, and getting my disability line-skipper pass set up, we began our day at “Six Flags Over Texas”.
Now, I didn’t get to do EVERY single ride like I wanted to, but instead, I could say…I got a decent amount done. I began with the roller coasters, in including “La Vibora”, “El Diablo”, “Titan”, “New Texas Giant”, "Runway Mountain", "Runaway Mine Train", "Mini Mine Train", “Shockwave”, “Pandemonium”, “Judge Roy Scream”, “Batman: The Ride”, “Joker”, and the newest one as of Summer 2023, “AquaMan Powerwave”. I then did a few non-coaster rides, including a boat ride called “Pirates of Spelunker Cave”, a swinging ship ride called “The Enquisitor” a drop tower ride called “Super-Man: Tower of Power”, an observation tower called “Oil Derrick”, a swinger ride called “Gunslinger”, a taller swing-tower ride called "Texas SkyScreamer", a dark shooter ride called “Justice League: Battle for Metropolis”, and a free-driving go kart ride called “Six Flags Speedway Go Karts”.
After finishing the coasters, my Aunt Jo Ann and I had lunch at the park’s “Johnny Rockets” restaurant, and I had a bacon cheeseburger and fries. After lunch, my aunt left me some snack money, and she left, getting picked up by my Uncle Phil, with the intention of picking me up at 7:00pm later in the evening.
After finishing those rides by 7:00pm, and having a snack of ice cream a few hours before then, I left “Six Flags Over Texas” with my Aunt Jo Ann and Uncle Phil. We then went back to Dallas via another 40-minute drive, and we had dinner at a chain fast-food restaurant called “Whattaburger”, and I was my first time ever going to one of those. I had a double cheeseburger with bacon, a large order of fries, and a large lemonade for my dinner. After dinner, we went back home to the house, and I had my dessert, which consisted of a slice of Chocolate Tower Truffle Cake from a “Cheesecake Factory” restaurant, which was acquired by my Uncle Phil the day before my trip date.
I had had of the large slice with a scoop of cookie dough ice cream, and then we all watched another movie together. This film was called “The Terminal”, made in 2004, and stars Tom Hanks and Stanley Tucci. After the movie ended, I did my nighttime routine, and went to bed, getting ready for the big day tomorrow on Sunday, as my Aunt Jo Ann and I had plans of our own for that day.
