God i love Soda. This guy is just great, probably the most normal (realest) person on twitch, atleast with that growth. Says what he thinks, as long as its TOS and does what he wants. Can't thank him enough for streaming and thank you very much for this video. Brought back some good memories

Patrick Geo Nick ran all of the background stuff just so Chance could focus on streaming. He pushed aside streaming after mop to purely focus on developing Chance's portfolio. Then there's Malena who took over his CZcams to let Nick start viably streaming again and making his own path. Without Nick and Malena, Chance wouldn't be where he is today.

"Sodapoppin is a bit of a bad guy". He literally doesn´t use nail clippers because he doesn´t like the "click" when using them.
Twitch girls back then made me feel like I was watching a cam girl, no wonder why he had "controversial" thoughts on twitter to talk about
I think people often misunderstand those tweets/clips when they're brought up without the full context. You have to remember, back then twitch was strictly a gaming site and you would literally be banned if your stream didn't contain gameplay. There was a lot of drama at the time because some girl streamers would fullscreen their webcam and have a little gameplay window in the corner just to circumvent a ban, I think that's the main reason he was criticizing them. I remember twitch even ended up giving a minimum percentage of your screen that had to be gameplay to try to prevent people from doing it.
@@_vip_2591 I mean he wasn't unfamiliar with doing non-gaming content even then, the problem wasn't so much the non-gaming content but the purely the sexual manipulation of young people on the internet. They were literally cam girls, and when I say literally I mean it not just in how their streams were conducted but a lot of them quite literally came from cam girl websites to cash in on twitch, in fact a lot of them still are. There needs to be even more rules in place actually, a lot of them have left due to massive criticism eventually making them realize the few extra bucks wasn't worth being hated, but there are still way too many.
@@Outwardpd What? I wasn't arguing as to whether or not there was "sexual manipulation" happening. I was merely explaining the context of those tweets and clips, because I was a frequent viewer of his at the time of all that drama, and I often see them cause a lot of confusion when they're brought up without any context. This is a good example of that happening.

1:26 When you say his full name might as well include "Thomas Jefferson" - no joke
a few things that are missed or misplaced in this video that is worth a mentioning is
- NMPlol, nick which is one of his best friends who have been with him since the beginning when he started streaming
- He basically created sellout sunday and got a 3rd party company to develop a function for it
- The games he plays during his variety streams today are built of by Me(Syphex) and VulpesHD, basically we go through every new steam release weekly and adds them to a list which then he watches on stream and decides with chat if its worth playing or not. Viewers also can give recommendations on games that they think would be fun to watch to us.
- His family who also take part and have just gotten used to streaming and being on stream, bringing new internet personalities.
- During christmas all the viewers helped together to put money into a event which was then going to be used to buy stuff to chance to open on stream for 20k. Which is part of the giraffe footage seen in the video. The Viewers really provide a lot of content.
But basically, nonetheless, Nick should have been mentioned. someone who has been with him and supported him for the past 10 years or so and streamed with him providing content among other things. (not sure really how far they go back but i know they meet in college)
funniest part is that you can see nick on several clips but still not saying his name
No the funniest part is 8:13 on .25x playback speed where the dealer cheats him out of 5k and "he ain't even know it"--Ricky Ross voice. That site got caught and shutdown for being a scam, and the viewers..theyaintevenknowit😂
In addition to this M.K(only legends know) visit Sodapoppin while streaming in twitch coz he's a virgin and never kiss a girl in his life according to him.

I used to play on the same realm as sodapoppin. Back in early cata his character name was "poppin" and was well known for being talkative in trade chat and being kind of a tryhard. I used to duel him all the time all the time outside stormwind, and was annoyed by me in particular when I got glad in s7 because he considered me to be a mediocre priest that was essentially carried by my extremely skilled teammates (which might have been kind of true but it was fun regardless). I never would have expected him to get big streaming. What a strange world.
Soda is just so down to earth. I love him for that

Do a story on Oskar, he's been arguably the most underrated csgo player of all time, from his days playing in the early czech scene to hard carrying Neophyte and Fraternis in the T3/T2 scene dropping godly numbers that rivalled what KennyS could do. All the way up to ascent with Mouse to eventually becoming the best awper in the world for a time, to even still be underrated by people while hard carrying Mouse when they were contesting for 1st in the world.
