  • The Skywalk Breeze is a light paragliding harness for recreational pilots, XC flying, and Hike and Fly. The finishing is high quality and the features look impressive: inflatable protection, removable instrument panel, integrated reserve, and a unique modular system that allows you to change it into an ultralight minimalist harness. But what is it like to launch and land, and how does it feel in the air?

    I’ve been loving the breeze for the past few years. It’s been perfect for hike and fly and drive up sites.

    After Greg mentioned feeling tightness in the thighs, skywalk now includes a small clip-on Thigh Strap: “The THIGH STRAP is only mounted when feeling a pressure point in the inner thighs.”

    Ive had my Skywalk Breeze for around four maybe five months now.
    The clips on the pod both snapped when attaching to the harness within no time which was disappointing but it's an easy fix to add clips, and i'm not keen on the leg buckles (these will probably become easier to unattach with more time and worn in a more) for unattaching in case i ditch in water but overall I am very happy with it and would buy another

    I choose between this setup and the Advance Progress 3 with the Epsilon9, I have to admit that the Breeze and Arak looks really good! I went with the Advance due to that I could buy it from a local dealer...but the Skywalk kit looks great!

    Jack of all trades, master of all ?
    Really seems like it for this harness, apart from the buckles I really don't seem to find any problem and I'm really tempted to go for it

    The bellow bag is such a cool idea! It seems like Skywalk missed a trick, though, because it looks like it closes like a dry-bag, but you said it leaks air, and thus, presumably, water. Still, a nice bit of kit overall.

    How on Earth does that little plug holding the air into the padding section handle any sudden massive pressure from an impact? It looks like the sort of plug on a kids inflatable mattress.

    • @cheynomdingi9596
      @cheynomdingi9596 Před 3 lety +1

      Wondered about that too, but I imagine even if the plug blew off, the impact would be over before too much air escaped

    • @LiiMuRi
      @LiiMuRi Před 3 lety

      I assume the idea is that the plug pops off and lets the air out, but slowly, as the tube is narrow. That would make the impact softer with a more controlled deceleration and not a "bouncy castle" or an explosion of the bag

    this was briefly touched upon at the very beginning, but I cant find any other info about this... is this harness reversible to turn it into a sort of "hike and fly" harness?

    Dear Mr. Greg, Thank you for detailed inspection and lot of informations. I'm about to purchase this harness for some little h&f and accuracy trials. I'll be combine with skywalk masala 3. I want to learn your opinion about weight shifting of breeze. Is it enough for target accuracy competition? Can you satisfied for weight shifting levels and answers of harness. Thank you.

    Great video Greg, as always, thanks. Would you recommend this as comfortable enough for long flights? Getting myself some new kit in January and I am definitely looking at the Breeze + Arak combo. Cheers.

    Great review as always. I am currently flying an Arak large. I am 186 cm 94 kg in my pajama. Currently flying With a Cult 4 (that is so comfortable and allow me for endless storage and great protection inclusive side protection). As I am flying all over the world (mainly thermal flying) I am keen on lightweight . As main or second harness. Can’t decide if best option is Range X-alps2 pod or Breeze. I want to be able to bring my Insta 360 one x on a stick. What to choose? How did you store your cameras and selfie stick . Looks that one is connected to the the riser carabiner . The only thing I worry about side protection. I also need room for my pee pee bag...

    What a fantastic review! Thanks for the flick Greg!! I’m flying a Tequila 4 and an ozium. I have a supair access airbag as my upright harness. I would love to give this one a try. Does it come in any other colors? I have the blue n orange T4....

    est ce que cette sellette est polyvalente et apte au vol un peu thermique sur site ? ou est elle plus orienté hike and fly comme la radical 4 ? MERCI

    • @flybubblecarlo
      @flybubblecarlo Před 2 lety +1

      Yes, I would say the Skywalk Breeze is quite versatile and can also be used for a bit longer soaring and thermaling flights. Then again I would also say the same for the much newer Supair Radical 4 (or Niviuk Roamer 2 or Woody Valley Crest). They are not just minimalist mountain harnesses like the Skywalk Core and Supair Everest 3 (and other similar harnesses). However if you want more comfort for longer flights then you might prefer to look at more substantial harnesses e.g. Supair Altirando LITE, Woody Valley Wani light 2 or Woody Valley Wani 3. See our existing reviews of some of these harnesses (more to follow, if time allows). Can this harness also be used as a normal harness and not for only hike and fly? Or is there a big difference and what kind of harness would you recommend instead

    • @flybubblecarlo
      @flybubblecarlo Před 2 lety

      Yes, I'd say the Skywalk Breeze also be used as a normal harness, not for only hike and fly. I'd say the same for the Niviuk Roamer 2 and newer Supair Radical 4 or Woody Valley Crest. These are not minimalist mountain harnesses, they offer a balance or light weight versus comfort and features. If you want more comfort for longer flights then you might prefer to look at more substantial harnesses e.g. Supair Altirando LITE, Woody Valley Wani light 2 or Woody Valley Wani 3. I have a u-turn hikenand fly reversible harness/rucksack and it’s fantastically comfortable. More confortable than any rucksack I’ve ever worn (not just paragliding). Fulll flying setup is 8.5kg
    It’s not a pod harness tho
