I'd say I Need Somebody is the most sacred song of Day6. Their live performance for this song always amazing and gives us goosebumps. In the concert when this song comes in the whole venue turned red, sometimes Jae would give his part at the beginning for myday to sing it, and when it comes to the chorus everyone shouting "why am i alooooone~" while reaching their hand up. What an experience.
Fun fact abt this song : Young K actually wrote this for other artist. This song wrote with some edm and stuff (for idol group obviously) but it’s not accepted bcs they said this song sound so much ‘DAY6’. After not accepted, DAY6 change this song from edm to a full band sound.

I love this song so much. I cried the first time I heard it, before I knew the lyric translation. I cried when I heard it live in concert. It immediately tied first with my other number 1 favorite track, “I Would”. I think heavier rock is not really their favorite genre to do so they don’t do it often. (Which hurts because they do it sooo well😅) It’s mostly in their Japanese music.
You should check the live performance, it's 10000x better and I hope one day you can see it live in a concert when the world are better because day6 live performances in their concert are lit!!!! Personally, this is a song that has gotten me through some of my worst moments. Like you said, there is so much genuine fragility and vulnerability in this song and I agree wholeheartedly! honestly, i was crying a little since the beginning of the DAY6 concert I attended earlier this year. but when this song came, i could feel the whole atmosphere inside the venue change. we were all feeling the song. i could see more people crying. but also, their voices also sound even better! T T

I love all of DAY6’s songs! Like it’s impossible for them to make a bad song. I’m glad that you’re going to do a album listening party! When you brought out Jae’s vocal I remember a video clip of one of his twitch steams of when he was sharing a secret on how to sing better and it’s to put your feelings and sincerity into the song. He said, ”You have to mean what you sing”. They don’t show up in that many variety shows because they wanted to focus more on their music. But they have appeared on a couple of weekly idols from what I could tell. Can’t wait for your other b sides reactions and don’t apologize cause you have been reacting to other groups and it’s great that you’re doing that! This is just my opinion, but I usually like the b sides more than the title tracks. I think that most of the title tracks are pretty predictable (not in a bad way) and quite good to attach you to them. But when you go and listen to their b sides, you realize that hell they're non-stop explorers. You'll listen to EVERYTHING there. So, the way I see it, you don't know anything about day6 if you haven't listened to their b sides.

As wht I know, they have a blind test for more than 30 people in the music industry in order to pick songs into album. Also, the boys is someone who is in the Korea music industry, ofcourse they have a know how on what not needed as a basic to make a song in Korea. Some of basic know how that people in Korea music industry know; korean band, even if you copy Maroon 5, will not be a mainstream like idol. Maroon 5 is in mainstream in korean since forever but when a korean in a band, it’s hard / not many can.
