- Yes guys, I'm back! It's been a while but hey, after 12+ years with a camera in my face, and doctor's orders to tone down on all activities including sailing until after my surgery and recovery times, it was easy to decide to finally take some downtime with just family and friends.. but now I am feeling ready to get back in the game, and we've got lots to catch up on, so let's get started!

Hey Captain Rick! I'm so glad you're ok. I just had breast reconstruction surgery April 17th from a cancer battle myself. Today is Sunday the 21st and I'm so ready to go home!

It has been 3 years since I was last on San Andres, so nice to see it has returned to the wonderful tropical paradise and excellent vacation get a way spot. So happy for your recovery from the surgery and much hope for excellent results on your next surgery.

A dear friend, an experienced pharmacist and anesthesiologist, told me, no matter how minor or trivial the procedure may be, when general anesthesia is induced, there is a risk of complications during the procedure.

It wasn't so much nervous as in fear, but an overwhelming sad feeling if I wasn't to see my family and kids again.. never know what happens once they turn your lights off for a procedure... :)

I'm so pleased to see the new compressor. The one thing I have missed on your channel is enough time under water for us all. Being on the water is one thing, being in the water is better, and being under the water in warm and clear water is the best of all. I think I only knew about the throat surgery so didn't know about the other one. Hernia? Been there, done that. I love your table design and thought you might make a flush drop in plug for the top hole when it wasn't in use, for more table space. It's going to be beautiful when finished. What a great wood shop the island is blessed with. I wish you'd invite your Rasta friend out to the boat to chill every once in a while. You have met a lot of wonderful characters there. The lady with the beach restaurant too. RASpect from the Reggae and Ethiopian Archives.

Wow you guys are so strong, not a single tear on either side during that manly life statement by El Capitano. A perfect example to us all. Strength is meaningless if it deserts one at the critical moment. Just that video would have been a worthy monument had the worst happened. But 😁😁..... thank the Good Lord, we all (most viewers included, some sadly must have passed away) made it through to this happy day! Welcome back Rick, and so nice to see the beautiful brave and supportive Mama, and the budding little Captain too of course!

I’m so glad that you’re taking care of yourself and you’re on the road to recovery now, you even look better, all red-cheeked” & healthy! The new Kitten has grown even more than Richie, it’s turned out to look like the ugly little Duckling, turned into a Swan! I was amazed at how agile & “graceful” it was compared to the little muddy, mewing kitty that you brought home! The new table is great, there’s such great tree’s and wood available for “reasonable” prices outside the states. I have a friend on a Island off of Belize, & the last time I was there they were using Teak for their flooring in the house, which would probably cost more than the house here! There were many things that they used Mahogany for too that I’ve never seen anywhere else. Again, So glad the hardest surgery is over and you’re feeling & looking like yourself again!! 🍀

20:36 here is an option, you need a router.
Route 6mm off the square surface where the 4 cup are. Remove the 4 cups, route each holes by the thickness of each cup's edge. Place a cover on the top of the square. There, you have a flat table, remove the square, and here the 4 cups underneath. You have done the hardest. That's the easy custom part.

New to the channel
I have been looking at the Mantus compressor for some time now but I'm still not 100% convinced how practical it is for actual scuba diving. Given the size of the small tanks, it appears you could get around 20 minutes of mixed diving depending on your depth of course. Depending on your depth, you still need to spend 3 minutes of that for your safety stop before you can ascend and swap tanks for another 20 minutes. That doesn't sound very practical to me (yet). Of course it will fill a normal 80CF tank but that will take a full hour per tank. I'm pretty sure it would wipe out my battery bank running a full hour per tank! ha. So much to consider with this. Best of luck!

Glad to see you're back in action Rick. 👍 I'm in the same place you were a few months ago, because I'm currently mobility impaired and waiting for a surgery to rebuild my accident damaged hip, so I'm not-so-patiently waiting for that to occur in May. I'm going to be going crazy by then, because it'll be well into my boating season and this will be the first year in decades that I'll not only miss the opening, but the entire first portion of the season due to the required post-op physical therapy. Oh well, the hazards of getting old, I guess. 😄 Hope to see you back at your travels soon, as I plan to be on mine later in the Summer.

that table looks great, i just got an idea, why not put a gimble functionality in there with heavy counter weights on each side on the inside of the cabinet, that you can enable when under sail, and when not have it fixed as a it is now..

I love your videos, but there is one thing that can be improved. Any time you play music, it's like twice the volume for some reasome and I constantly have to adjust my speakers. Just turn it way down while editing and thank you so much for what you do to entertain us all., Peace
