I'm pretty sure the Diablo tuner will help with the transmission a lot. Makes the shifts harder more responsive. Which is the part everyone hates. Definitely still needs traction off for best results. You also have to hold esp button for 10 seconds to turn traction fully off
U have 2 drive at least 15 mph in turn the key as if u were starting the car hold it until u hear the beep then it will fully shut off..holding the button for ten seconds only disable it 60%

You can convert the dash to the newer Uconnect screen, I would also replace the rear bumper to the newer model chargers, I would keep the front think the old SRT front look better and meaner than the new ones.
I was just browsing around for a steering wheel upgrade option for my 08' SRT8 as well and wondered if anyone found a way to swap out theirs for a GEN II or III steering wheel? With that said I acknowledge that most of (if not all of) the steering wheel button functions on a GEN II or III won't work (interface) with the GEN I's factory head units (and other misc functions), but I'd think a GEN II or III steering wheel would look badass in a GEN I.
Yeah.they got rid of the ram emblem on the steering wheel after like 2010 or 12 i think lol. I think the 3.5 high output get a little better gas mileage too. But then again. It was a 3.5 06' with like 55,000 miles on it.and paid 6000 cash.so not a bad deal. Know what u mean about the back third window..i used to put decals on my pontiacs on that window.but wouldnt trade my dodge back for the pontiacs..lol. Maybe the pontiac seats.they are comfortabe as F🤗🤗😂😂
I really like your car and channel, the only thing I really don't like about these models is the interiors (cheap lookin) and those tail lights..... I think the newer models (2011+) have nicer interiors and definitely nicer tail lights. 😉
My Nag1 isnt laggy at all very very responsive if you want to upgrade it just fyi if your interested get Mercedes Blue Top Solenoids they are pricey but it makes the transmission snap like a mf! Also a upgraded Valve Body

2006 to 2023 has the same wire harness Chasity hemi blocks an heads..if u think about gas to any1with v8s u can’t afford it I just fill up an keep going I’ve done swaps to bolts right up
@@srtdad if you get the Diablo tuner you don’t need the pedal commander. As you can adjust the throttle response. The pedal commander is useless. If you push the throttle boost to 20 percent on Diablo tuner it has no lag. I’ve used it on the 5 speed and my newer 8 speed on challenger.
@@srtdad yeah man it actually adds horsepower adjust shift points turn off mds on other models change tire size change fan settings when you swap a lower thermostat tune it for 87 89 91 93 tunes. Everything you need don’t waste money on the pedal commander. Your is easy just plug and play. The new ones need a pcm swap.
I have a 2006 charger srt8 and it's supercharged and 3.92 gears I get 14 to 16mpg with a led foot and around 20 to 22 mpg driving it nice. Before the 3.92 gears I averaged 26 to 27 hwy mpg and 19 city with the factory 3.06 gears. Not sure why you're only averaging 13.

@@srtdad they don't come with 3.92 gears from factory only 3.06 on srt8s. Only ones that have 3.92 gears are the 6 speed manual challengers. The nag1 5 speed auto doesn't have them gears.

I have an 06 Daytona now, used to have a 2012 Challenger RT and a 2015 Charger RT, I have loved all of them but if you don't have one get a diablo tuner because you probably have MDS I had it on all three but you can shut it off completely. I agree about the 8 speed transmission compared to the 5. But check out the tuner.

6.1 hemi did not have mds at all just a straight up hardcore pushrod engine
Need to look up how to reset adaptive computer. Will solve lag issue. Will have to do it every 2000 miles.
Spirited driving I heard helps a lot with the adaptive computer but definitely need to look into it I want to get a Diablo tuner soon
