- Recent news from an international social media outlet, stating that Fujifilm I back producing film, but it won't be in Japan anymore. While it's not clear whether the C200 and C400 emulsions are Fuji's unique chemistry or not, many sleuths on the internet are predicting that Fuji is just finishing and packaging the film at this new factory.

I HAVE A PLAN ARTHUR, YOU JUST GOTTA HAVE FAITH, WE NEED M O N E Y
Hahaha, I was waiting for this comment from you 😂
@@metalfingersfilm ur all right boah
Another week another Fuji film dead/alive video 💀
Just an FYI, this will still be Kodak emulsion, but finished on Fuji equipment in China. The only thing changing is where the film is finished. The plant in china has never had a film coating line, they were only ever a finishing facility for medical film and color film for the Chinese market.
everything really depends on the chinese market. IF film popularity will still grow in china then we might see some old fujifilm stocks coming back into market, but imo it will take good couple of years till fujifilm decides that they may make ton of money by doing so. These recent news spark a little bit of hope for all of us for fujifilm comeback to film market.
Xi please save us
I live in China and shoot film. I really see film continuing or even just maintaining its popularity here. Every day I see tons of posts on Xiaohongshu (Chinese IG that he mentions in the video) of people sharing their shots, asking for camera/film recommendations and the like. I have a ton of friends that all buy mountains of film and every time I visit the most popular film store in Shanghai, it’s packed. Let’s hope it stays this way, I think it will :)
FILM IS EATIN THIS YEAR LETS GOOOOO BABY
Funny thing is the photo at 0:42 It says "美国制造” which translate in English is "Made in USA"
“Have a little faith baby, have a little faith…”
Odd ball
Any news like this is good news, but am hoping for more 120 films, especially Provia and Velvia, to compete with Ektachrome which is priced at monopolistic levels - not to mention that Provia looks quite different and better for portrait. Thanks for the update.
if the Rollei 35 AF is a huge success, maybe we see other MFG try to relight the film thing with a new release and then maybe a small snowball forms for more film production. Let's hope. I just purchased a late serial number Nikon F5 in like new condition from Japan.
I am so excited about this camera. Cannot wait to get it.
Pro400H please!
my boy is on it, once again
Lets hope for pro 400h
Hell yeah!
This should help Fuji's social credit score!🎉
From the pictures it just looked like they were repackaging kodak film though.
Best channel ever
But will it look like fuji 200 from 2011 😊
Some consumer 35mm is being produced that says Fujifilm on the box. Behold, they are rising Christ-like from the tomb🌄
新加坡已经可以买到呢,不过应该是柯达换皮
I think the availability of Fuji slide film in the Japanese market suggests that they're still producing film albeit in very small quantities. I think their capabilities are being extremely constrained by the production of enough Instax film to satisfy the demand.
isn't shanghai actually from belgium?
"But you said you spoke Spanish"
So will we see a resurgence in the envelopes to send the films away to be developed ?
😆
I’m gonna assume you’ve seen my Fujicolor 100 tests I’ve posted on Reddit.
I thought Fuji never went away completely. I see packets of Fuji 400ASA in Walmart all the time. I don't see 100ASA film in Walmart.
I need a slide film, pleeeaaase, Fuji!
Haha, yeah. I’d settle for a restock of Provia at this point.
keeping up provia and velvia, that's all I'm asking for
@@imxg Provia would be more than enough for me...
a bit of note, that photo of the film pack on 0:43 still say "Made in USA" on the back, so that is probably not the one they are making in China, i guess some photo of just normal fuji 400 got mix in
I'm not sure you quite understand how stock footage works.
@@matthewmoore7447 oh because rest of the photos in video are all actual photos from the event etc, so I just thought it is kind of funny a photo of some random film shop got mix in
Great video, straight to the point. You should give lessons on how to do youtube videos!
Nah for real, some guy really had a 30 minute video i just clicked off immediately, its not even about have short attention span, some of these guys are straight up taking the piss.
thanks, Bruce Wayne!
Unfortunately I don’t see any incentive for Fuji to re-release any of their old film emulsions. Their digital and Instax products are bringing in plenty of revenue. I think they’re perfectly happy to “stay in the game” with only these two products.. and their arrangement with Kodak, for as long as it lasts. I really hope I’m wrong.
But then I can't see any incentive for Fuji to keep producing their own film when they could just keep selling rebranded Kodak. I don't think we'll see anything re-released anytime soon, but it's possible that we might get C100 being produced there later on as well.
Well, Fuji film being produced in China is an end of line thing.
And more money pumped into China. But that another debate.
Fujifirem
The film will come back... it's coming back.... (waits for film to come back after saying it's going to get some cigarettes).
We shoot film we need film... for that i'm happy.
until i know more i'll past judgement about films coming out of china. Quality is expensive.
Fuji! Bring us Pro400H back! In 120 of course... 135 is not interesting and makes no sense
