Very Cool Thankyou. I use a DS-1 after a BD-2 (Boss Blues Driver) for extra Drive/Crunch. Such an Amazing pedal. Love the sounds it adds to my Solid State amps. So Awesome. Will run it through my tube amps one day, but too happy with their natural distortion channels. Cheers

I wish a channel would try my 3 favorite pedals that nobody ever talks about and I can't really complain it kept the prices down for a long time. They are the Peavey dirty dog, hot foot and overdrive. If you get the chance to score one of these I don't think you'll be disappointed.

@@theguitarmanifesto well if I come across one I'll pick it up and maybe we can work out some type of deal. I just sold 2 of 4 dirty dogs last week. I do have a overdrive that needs work I'd give to you if you paid shipping. I haven't had time to work on it and keep it for parts.

i liked my ds1 better when i yanked out a clipping diode. made it louder and i suppose more of an overdrive pedal. i default to the RAT for distortion, but use my ds2 when i want another distortion. but heck yeah, more power to the ds1 users, you don't need the fancy stuff, it'll do just fine!

mine is a 2005 and seems really quiet, cleaned the pots and jacks... is it normal for the output to be lower than bypassed? was my first pedal too, been sitting for a couple years while i had been exploring other things.
Hmm sounds like it's faulty to me, I've had a fair few DS1 pedals and never had that issue.
Had mine stolen in the 90’s and have yet to get another one but I will soon.
