Kashmir was rich with literature, including India's famous literature "Panchtantra," which has amazing inspirational stories written in Kashmir, and there were many temples present in Kashmir that were vendalise after the exodus, such as "Martyand Sun Temple." Despite being lived in bhutan for centuries and being bhutanese citizens, We were killed and chased out without much news. We were ignored by almost every news media. Hey Jaby, I from J&K and let me explain the story. Since Kashmir was a mountainous region it was inhabited by Pandits(religious, peaceful but very intelligent people) from 1000s of years. But in 1990s, on foreign propaganda, there was an attempt to change the demography of Kashmir. The separatists leaders and terrorist organisation with aid from foreign soils did a genocide on Pandits. They either had to convert to Islam or leave the region. These Pandits came to Jammu and other parts of India or were killed and all their belongings: lands, gardens, orchids and what not was all taken away. On that night, the streets were red in Kashmir and all the terrorism which still exists in few parts of Kashmir is due to that day.

And let me tell you..this is the 8th migration of Kashmiri Hindus and even if someone dared to show how brutaly and inhumanely KPs were treated ...no one would be able to see it. Even what happened in 90s came prominently into limelight after 2014, mostly due to political parties using it for their gains.
    Let me quote some incidents.
    1. Sarla Tickoo who was kidnapped, gangraped and sodomized for over a week and then her body was cut into two pieces using mechanical saw.
    2. Prana Ganjoo and her husband were leaving valley when they got confronted by Jihadis. They killed her husband in front of her ... kidnapped her , gangraped and then chopped her breasts before killing her.
    3. Many prominent KPs like Mr Ganjoo, Tika lal taploo were killed in broad daylight. In some incidents jihadis gauged out the eyes, stuck iron nails on forehead were we apply "Tilak", burned bodies using ciggerates, broke limbs.
Thanks to Vivek Agnihotri for showing world the brutal truth of Kashmir. Movies made before on Kashmir only glorified extremism but never talked about us. Thts why it's special.

"Why doesn't India just give Kashmir to Pakistan?" ... I am aware that you are not completely known to what is happening in India but we have been through hell and this is such an offensive question for every Indian so let me explain it to you. During partition, there was only "India", however, a separate nation known as present day Pakistan was created due to the demand of Indian muslims wanting their own nation. These Indian muslims were given the option of either staying in India or moving to Pakistan according to their wish but Indians in Pakistan were not given such option, they were forced to leave their homes, properties and move to India. If they refused, they were killed. In the separation, Kashmir was to remain with India but since 1947 Pakistan has been illegally occupying Kashmir. There have been 2 major wars both started by Pakistan and lost by Pakistan for this issue. When Pakistan figured that they would not be able to capture Kashmir by force, they started the "freedom revolution" aka Al Jihad where Pakistan cowardly supplies weapons and other equipment to infiltrate terrorism into Kashmir - they have been very successful in doing this for years. The root cause of this is that Pakistan wants to turn India into another Muslim nation, they are very intolerant towards Hinduism, Sikhism, Buddhism etc. hence the genocide of 1990 took place in Kashmir where over 200,000 Hindus were killed by brutal methods such as gang rape, burning people alive etc. Raliv, Ghaliv ya Chaliv - chant of the Jihadist translates to convert, die or flee; doesn't that explain everything? Today you are saying to just give Kashmir to Pakistan, tomorrow it will be another state then another state till India and Hindus no longer remain. Kashmir is very crucial part of Indian history and culture and we will never just give it up. In short, Kashmir is an integral part of India and will always remain. Thank you for the wonderful video! Jai Hind!

Just an information to Jaby for his statement that the king back then didn't know where to go n landed this situation. No, all kings back then were given an option that they can either join either of the country or be their own country by the British. Princely States within India after partition were convinced by the leaders back then. It was only Kashmir which was yet to decide if they wanted a free nation or join a country. When this was ongoing Pakistan militants had entered Kashmir and tried forcefully capturing the place by waging a war, in this situation the king had wanted to save his land so asked for Indian assistance. It is then that the Indian leaders had agreed to help Kashmir if he agreed to be a part of India... Which is when the King had agreed with his set of restriction which he felt is beneficial for his people, which was agreed and signed. As per clause various rules were created a few fully agreed n few negotiated n the state was agreed to be a part of India. After which the Indian Army had fought to push the militants out n won. Since then Kashmir has been a part of India. So the above is a summarization of the decision taken by the king n also y ur friend asked y should it be given it's ours.

Jaby one correction: The Kashmiri King Maharaja Hari Singh clearly signed the accession accord with the Indian Government in 1947. The problem arose when the British left India drawing an incomplete border with Pakistan which today is known as the LOC (line of Control)
When Hari Singh signed the accord, he obviously handed over the entirety of Kashmir, but just because the LOC was incompletely drawn, Pakistan later started to claim a huge portion of Kashmir as theirs.
And another point, you asked why not just give it to Pakistan?
Because it will never stop at that. Look at China, day after day, bit by bit they are nibbling away at our land in the north east.
China has built a very important Trading corridor with Pakistan, which runs through Kashmir, and if we give that up we might as well give our nation in their hands. China is building Pakistan's sea ports for them. What do you think will happen then? We will not have a high ground in Kashmir to defend ourselves anymore. The entirety of North India, landlocked with the two powerful enemies, will be extremely vulnerable.
And north India comprises 75% of the country's population.

No one. Whereas Muslims in India even in minority have far greater rights than they enjoy even in the West and so called places such as Saudi Arabia/UAE to disrupt people's lives in the name of religion.
Things such as partition cannot be simply decided based on vote but based on what is justice. The logic is simple - anyone who would vote against separation was massacred and now the vote count has reduced. This is definitely not justice.

Yesss. I was waiting for you guys to react. The horrors of Kashmiri Hindu genocide must come forward. No liberal, no humanitarian came forward to support them. Everyone who say they are for human rights ignored this. Brutal gang rapes happened. There was a girl named Girija Tikoo who was gang raped for days and later cut down with carpenter's saw in two parts and thrown in the gutter. Her only crime was she was Hindu. But till today no feminist have outraged for her. The pain the screams the sufferings have purposely kept hidden. And most fascinating part is none of these survivors became terrorist. Terrorist sympathisers always say oh those people suffered so much at young age and so they became terrorist. But after a brutal genocide also none of these people became terrorist. Maybe being terrorist is just in blood not circumstances.

Kudos to you Jaby , for reacting to this trailer. This isn’t about the right and left wing. It isn’t about which ideology you follow. It’s unfortunately part of India’s history which very few people know about. The oppression of the blacks , the Jews is well documented and this even while being so recent isn’t really highlighted because of Appeasement Politics. Kashmiri Pandits have suffered a lot because of a few power hungry people who appeased a certain section so that they could remain powerful. This isn’t a movie , it’s the sad reality of today’s Kashmir. Anybody against this film just exposes their hypocrisy. I’m glad you reacted to this while some other foreign reactors are ignoring it. Irrespective of your political ideology , I hope you sympathise with the ones who lost their loved ones in 1990 and are still asking for justice.

I agree but the issue is that Agnihotri have a bad track record. He has done a movie that was outright rightwing propaganda before. He has tweeted stuff and said stuff during panels that was just not good. The other problem is that most liberals shun talking about what happened in Kashmir so then only the problematic people like Agnihotri dare touch the subject. It sucks. Leftists tend to behave like idiots on this topic (saying that as a leftist myself), but it doesn't mean I want rightwing propagandists to lead the discussion on this. Achara is SO SO spot on with her analysis of the issue. Similar things happened to Punjabi Hindus as well in the 80s-late 90s. Goes to show how much the leaders of the time cared (ie. not at all). Punjab is the birthplace of Hinduism, the Vedas was written here, important events like the Mahabharata happened here and of note, the Kashmiri Pandits and Punjabi Pandits belong to the same clan- Saraswat Brahmin. That is this area altogether was where Hinduism really took root and spread out to the rest of the subcontinent and really the world. We've faced repeated m/ssacres such as during partition, but the most recent was during Insurgency in Punjab wherein my family was forced to flee or be killed by Sikh separatists. It's unfortunate that the same stories are repeated doesn't matter if it's Kashmir, Punjab, Goa, Tamil Nadu, a commenter noted similar things happened in the same time period in Bhutan to Bhutanese Hindus. Why do people feel so comfortable ousting the native population? All these groups were known to embrace diversity in large part because of our faith. We allowed people that converted/followed a different path to still be accepted as one of us and live amongst us, but then they turn around and do this to us and oust us from our own land. It's just such a sad state of affairs. Unlike the Kashmiri Hindus, we resettled in Punjab shortly after Insurgency ended. Still had our ancestral home, had our land, etc but literally, nothing can erase the generational trauma, the fear that is instilled in you, the anger, and unfortunately the hatred. I can only imagine what the Kashmiri Hindus feel.

For once a real portrayal of what was done to Kashmiri Hindu Pandits instead of whitewashing it n appeasing those involved in genocide. Jaby & Achara, watch Upword's video on the exodus of Pandits over centuries. This was the last chapter in the long brutal history of wiping out the native population of kashmir. Ask Pandits about their ancestors in Kashmir and they will name 10 or 12 generations easily while those who took over can't. It's been turned into state that is anti women, anti music, anti non M religions, etc. They can live there and can't even buy land after generations. That's why removal of article 370 was so important and radicals, activists and politicians that benefit from violence opposed removing it.

It started from the Mughal invasion. The core is that India was always colonized in someway or the other up until 1947 when the Britishers left. And with the increasing brutality, we developed a habit of remaining patient ( we come from the land of Gandhi, come on) and later hopelessly silent. So much so that the generations in line didn't even get to hear our truth. What happened in Kashmir is the future of the country if we continue to let muslims takeover entirely. Because thats what is happening. Bit by bit. They murdered people to convert Kashmir into a muslim colony. Conveniently taking advantage of our silence. Kashmir is the state where the highest saint (a Hindu) of our country was born. Which was the hub of india's rich art and culture. They shove "we are a threatened minority in this country" in our noses when in reality, WE are the threatened minority in the world and we fear to become one in our own country. And I, as a hindu don't even know much about my own roots because here talking about us feels like a crime. They make us feel like we're running a propoganda when they are the ones confusing the youth of the country with what really happened. With our silence and unwillingness to be part of the conflict, its just easier for them. And so when such a movie comes out, it becomes the talk of the nation because for the FIRST TIME ever Hindus got a voice. The other section of the society straight up denied anything like that ever happened in Kashmir even when we all have friends in our circles who can confirm that they are a victim and they had to flee.

For Jaby to enlighten you about WHY is Kashmir a part of INDIA ... here's the story
After the British divided India and Pakistan, Kashmir was the only remaining state to decide which country it wanted to merge into or remain independent. Around that time, Pakistan grew impatient because it really wanted that beautiful land called 'Heaven on Earth' . So, in the dead of the night, Pakistan sent its military to CAPTURE Kashmir and the then King Hari Singh panicked. The king requested help from India's then PM who replied that India Cannot help until Kashmir is a part of India otherwise the UN will question and also because of other legal issues. So, Kashmir's king decided to be a part of India and our PM finally sent the army to free Kashmir from Pakistani military. BUT, the area that they had captured in that period is STILL under Dispute. BUT, it is OBVIOUSLY A PART OF INDIA because the King decided to be a part of India and Pakistan Just tried to capture it forcefully which doesn't make it the legal owner.

But when Pakistani army started to infiltrate into Kashmir and started to rile the population to join Pakistan, the King came to India and struck a deal that Kashmir would integrate with India if their army comes and defends them. A small correction there that the king of Jammu (now Jammu & Kashmir) was committed to become an independent state. Until his country as invaded by Pakistan army disguised in civil clothes (as Pakistan itself admitted in UN), then the King asked for help from India and signed the document of accession to India, the same document that every other Indian princely state signed when becoming the part of the Indian union.
I am not going into any more details, but the genocide and exodus Kashmiri Hindus was an Islamic Jihadi project backed by Pakistan. After this genocide in 1990, in 1991 the Soviet union collapsed, all the Afghan militants who were being trained by Pakistan army to fight against USSR (Pak was doing it on US order & requirements, US paid them well, well known fact among US and Pak), those Afghan militants were redirected to Kashmir which wrecked the whole state, it took a decade for Indian army to kill those Afghan Jihadis.
The complexity of the entire issue can not be explained in the CZcams comment section.
PS.. the region of Jammu Kashmir has been a part of Indian civilisation for more than 5000 years, one King or a Britisher do not have the right to decide its future neither do the Jihadis.

@@radhakavipurapu432 In Islamic books, women is treated as an object of use or property. They have been created by Allah for men's use and to be ploughed like a fertile land. As per Muhammad, he found that most residents in hell were women folk and they have eroded intelligence. Wives can very well he beaten so that leaves no mark on body. Infidel women can be used by men however they wanted because they were slaves and forbidden from covering their head. So you get the perspective.

Wow Achara got it right, word by word, everything! That's the entire hindu perspective. Kashmir is not just the land where generations kashmiri pandits lived. It is the keystone of the entire Hindu Civilization. It is the land of the most key intellectual milestones of Hindu history, it is the land of our goddes of knowledge. It was an will always remain a Hindu land. The inherent tollerance of Hinduism backfired on us, but now we are not going to go back on this.

Yes finally! This is the truth that happened in kashmir . ❤️‍🔥🇮🇳 ! The hindu genocide!!! . The world or even the 80 % of Indians themselves are ignorant about what happened to the kashmiri Pandits . Kashmiri pandits need justice . Kashmir is their home . They should have the right to go back to their home .
This trailer just got me in tears .🥺
I'm so glad achara is very educated about what happened there . ❤💖💖❤💖

yes this is genocide ,, 150k people moving out of valley and killing of kashmiri pandits (ranging from 300-1100) for a period of 1989 - 2011 ,, but i wonder what should we call when in the same time period in the same place 50000 - 100k civilian deaths have occured ,,, and mostly being blamed on security forces ,, is that not genocide ,,
just in gujrat 2002 alone (1000-2000) people were killed ,,, and in naroda patiya a man put a sword in the belly of a pregnant women and took our her foetus ,, its the same chllling story as girija tikko who was gang raped and hacked to two piece with a saw ,,
we all just want one thing to be considered as genocide not the other ,,

And you are comparing it with death of Kashmiri muslims throughout out these 3 decades mind it when you are at war with the state don't expect your periphery will be immune of consequences...
Dare not compare it with Gujrat carnage

There's a bigger question to be answered. There have been only two episodes of "ethnic cleansing " in independent India. The Kashmiri Pandits and Tamil Brahmins . The question is "why are Brahmins being prosecuted in modern India and why is everyone silent about it?
