- Three ideas for DIY faux plants. In this video I will be recreating popular plants using crepe paper, air dry clay and felt fabric. I will try to make them to look as realistic so no-one will see the difference. Faux plants are great if you want to bring some greenery to your home but you don't have green thumb or don't have the right environment for them to grow. These ideas are might be time consuming but they are such a pleasure to make and save you plenty of money.

The felt is a pretty shade of green, that’s the most perfect spring color 😊 I’m ashamed of the many string of pearls that have come to my house to die 😩 these are all such good ideas! ❤️❤️❤️

I was going to try the string of pearl, using foam balls and yarn! I like yours!! The string probably is better, gonna try that

One thing I might personally avoid is using the first leaf cut-out as a template, so that I can have some more realistic variations in the leaf size and shape.
